Loved where the slit came up, felt very expensive and sexy. I am 5’8” and the long was perfect for my height. 

I felt like a bomb shell in this dress. It is a little long but I am only 5 foot. The slit is just the right amount of sexy with the classic look of the top of the dress. This dress is COMFORTABLE! I cannot say enough great things about it. I received multiple compliments. 

Pros: movable and great for girls with hips/booty. The slit in the front adds a sexy little peak-a-boo. 

Cons: have to wear sticky bras due to the lace in the front and back. 

I rented this dress and I wish I owned it. When I saw it I was like this look like the one from the prom episode of gossip girl. After some research I found out it's the same designer and knew that this had to be the dress I had for the wedding. Loved it felt so glamorous 

This dress is beautiful and fit so well - I was able to wear a black bra underneath, you could see the straps a bit but it looked like it was part of the dress so it was fine. The length was perfect for a pair of short heels and the fabric was super nice. The only thing was the gold at the top was kind of scratchy; it wasn't awful but definitely something I noticed throughout the night. 

I was pretty nervous about renting this one as a 12R was the only one available and reviews suggested a 12L would be better if I wanted it to touch the floor. I took the chance and was very happy I did. The dress fit perfect in every way, and was very slimming. I'm about 186lbs and self conscious of my tummy sticking out, but it hugged in all the right places with the gold embellishment complimenting it perfectly! It was a little shorter than I would have liked but still looked great with 3" heels (just didn't touch the ground). I would definitely rent this one again in a heartbeat! 

I liked the dress but didn't love it. It was a little loose and much too long, I found myself holding it up constantly. Wanted to feel crazy glamorous but really it was underwhelming. 

I selected this dress as my backup. Because of a technical issue with my first choice, I ended up wearing this dress. I received many compliments all night. The length and weight of the dress were perfect. I would 100% rent this dress again.

The fabric, styling, cut, and details are all part of what made me LOVE this dress. And on top of those thing, it was COMFORTABLE. I got so many compliments and it was a joy to wear. 

I absolutely loved the dress which fits perfectly! I must say this is the most comfortable floor length dress I ever wore. It grabs you in right places, very flattering and soft. I wish the dress was in my closet! 

I'm 5'4" with an athletic body type and I was worried the lace sleeves/top wouldn't fit. I'm a 38B so I was planning to wear a size 10 because of my wider upper body. It turned out that the size 8 was perfect for me! The black fabric had some give and the lace wasn't as tightly woven as I expected it'd be. I admit I didn't have full range of motion of my arms, but I was able to lift them almost all the way up without fear of ripping the lace. I felt comfortable and it was perfect for the formal attire wedding I attended. My family and friends complimented it. My only issue was that the dress was regular length; too long for me. The dress didn't drag with my 4" heels on, though, and I just had to be mindful of the skirt when the dance floor won/I switched to flats. The slit on the left is a fun detail, but it ended at my mid to upper thigh. It made sitting a bit awkward, but this wasn't a problem once tablecloths hid everyone's legs anyway. Another bonus was feeling so tall and sleek once I had my 3.5" heels on, haha. Overall, this is the first dress from RTR I felt compelled to leave a review for because it was such a beautiful, elegant, fun, and comfortable dress. I highly recommend it!

I'm 5'1, 120 lbs, 34A and wore a 4P.  I wore this dress for Gala in the winter. It's elegant and tasteful even with the slit. Not your average black dress and the gold accents were lovely! 

Great fit, the slit is high and it really makes you feel like a Bond Girl!

I rented this for a Chamber of Commerce gala and awards dinner. The material is substantial enough with just enough stretch to not need any spanx  or other "help".  I know other reviewers my size went braless, but I'm too self conscious for that and wore silicone stick on pads with clear straps to hold things up better. I wore with the Oscar de la Renta clip on earrings and black strappy sandals. 
This dress was stunning and I got loads of compliments all night. The gold on the sides really compliments a curvy figure and the slit showed off the squats I've been doing lately. :) 
One of the more expensive rentals I've done, but totally worth it!!

I rented this for a deb ball in the fall. I wore a fur coat over it since it was cold outside. I felt like a million bucks! Dress ran true to size for me and I was very comfortable sitting and moving around in it. I am usually very concerned with how my mid section will look in a dress (mommy tummy after three small children) and this dress was very flattering and not too tight. I was able to move easily for dancing and sitting while at dinner. I wore very tall platform heals so I'm glad I got the tall. It fit perfectly. 

I felt sophisticated and sexy in this dress. My husband thought it was stunning and I received many compliments on the dress from both women and men during the night, which was a fundraising gala. The dress was the perfect fit (6R) and length for me. It was amazingly comfortable to wear - sitting, walking and dancing! I did not wear a bra as the lace back cuts low, and fortunately there was enough support in the dress to keep the girls (34E) up and in place! 

Rented for a black tie-ish wedding. The dress is very comfortable and flattering. Fit true to size, usually between a 2 and 4 and wore a 4P. I was concerned about the length but it was perfect with my heels. 

The dress is wonderful! The fit is true to size and hugs your body perfectly. The dress is a bit heavy because it’s made of such thick material, but the top lace is beautiful (though a little duller than in the picture online). Overall, would definitely rent again.

It fit great, lace was lovely.  The slit is high when you sit, but makes it easy to walk.  I wore the spanx with thigh and tummy control so it had shorts and i was comfortable all night. I loved this dress and got lots of compliments.  The lace on the sides helps give the body a shape so you look nice and curvy!  

Beautiful. I would definitly recomend. I received tons of compliments. I have a 36D bust and could not wear a bra. It was supportive enough that it didnt matter. I wore a spanx underneath to smooth everything out. Had enough stretch in the fabric to be comfortable even when dancing. 

I fell in love with this dress while browsing RTR for an appropriate outfit for a black tie wedding I attended at a winery in Brooklyn in February. It fit perfectly and still cost less than my boyfriend's tux rental. I have a big tummy and thick thighs and a small C chest, and it fit perfectly. If you have a very large chest it might get too snug on top. A really comfortable dress, although by the end of the night the lace sleeves were slightly irritating to my arms, but not too badly, and they didn't leave any significant chafing. I got a ton of compliments on this dress and I loved how I looked in it. Will definitely use RTR in the future if I need to! 

I'm 5'7" and wore 3" heels - the L was perfect. The waist was a little loose, but it wasn't really an issue. The slit is the perfect height when standing, but it's a little scandalous when you sit. Matched this with the INGE CHRISTOPHER BLACK LILIANA MINAUDIERE clutch. 

Wore this for a mardi gras ball. Got so many compliments. Really comfortable and the gold design is very slimming

I originally ordered a 2R but that became unavailable and took a chance with the 4L instead, with really high heels. I would've definitely been more comfortable in a 2R, but nonetheless I loved the dress! The gold detailing makes the waist look really small, and the fabric is a really high quality. I would definitely recommend!

For like a glove! Slit was a little high when I sat down, but otherwise perfect.

I rented this dress for a work holiday party. My initial dress was unavailable, so RTR stylists let me know I could pick *anything* to replace it, and I couldn't pass up the chance to wear this gown. I read some reviews about lack of mobility in the shoulder due to the sleeves, but had no issue with a normal range of motion. I went braless to preserve the look of the lace back and never felt any issues--the cut of the dress was very supportive. The fabric was a great weight and had wonderful motion. I accessorized with a small clutch. I wore 3 1/2 inch heels and the dress was perfectly long without me ever being in danger of tripping.

The slit is very high on the side so if wearing stockings make sure you don't get the "control thighs" or you will see that. I wore a u plunge bra from Nordstom. 

First time renter. I wore this dress for a black tie gala. This was second choice to my first choice dress (that did not fit...ughhh). I’m usually a solid 14 but wore the back up size 16R.  The dress was beautiful on and hugged my curves in all the right places.  Lots of compliments throughout the night. However, the arms were a bit snug and the slit was very high. The slit was okay when standing but I had to use a napkin to cover my legs when sitting. Overall, I loved the dress and would rent from RTR again. 

This was my first experience with Rent the Runway, and I could not be happier! I rented a gown for my theatre company's Gala. This was not the gown I originally ordered; they sent this as a backup when the original was abruptly no longer available to ship. But I could not have been happier with it. I'm 5'9", and read the gown ran small, so I ordered the 10L and nervously added the 8R as my back-up (8L was unavailable). The 8R ended up fitting perfectly, and the length was perfect even with 2 inch heels. I'm also fairly busty and couldn't go braless, but the gold overlay hid my bra no problem. I got compliments all night. I never wanted to take it off! I will definitely be returning to RTR in the future!

I rented this for a 1930's themed wedding. I normally wear a 4P. The fit was true to size, but long for my 5'2" frame. I wore 4" heels and that solved the length problem. It is truly a beautiful dress. The embroidery isn't scratchy and the overall weight of the dress was great.  I wore a Nubra with it. 

The dress fit perfectly the sleeves were just a bit snug. 

Wore this dress for angry deco themed gala. The leg slit and gold at the top make this dress stunning! Would rent again. I felt great in this dress. 

I have a very short collar bone so the gold mesh did fall just slightly low on my bra line. I managed to pull it up but I felt like I was aware of it all night. Thankfully I wore a black bra so I think I was the only one who noticed. Overall the dress was perfect 

The dress fit perfectly. The style was very flattering and hid imperfections. I believe this dress would flatter any size and shape.

Rented for the Annual Navy Ball. It is absolutely gorgeous, the gold lace detailing on the side is so flattering!

I typically tow the line between 6 & 8 and the 6 fit perfectly! Dress is comfortable & extremely elegant---I want to keep it! 

Received so many compliments on it, it's a must rent for a special occasion!
