I wore this gorgeous intricate dress for a Bridgerton event.  I am 5'6" and wore 3.5" heels... the dress was still dragging the floor a bit-- keep this in mind if you're shorter/ petite.  True to size, but long! 

I rented this for a formal event. For reference, I am 5'8, 130 (usually a US 4/6) and the 4R was perfect for flats. I wanted to wear flats, so I rented the regular length. It was a long day, and I wanted to be comfortable. The lace wasn't itchy, and the flowy bottom allowed for all the good food. I wore a stick on bra, but you could easily go without. The dress is really beautiful in person with the detailed embroidery. 

I typically wear a 10-12. I'm 5'9" so I was hoping to rent 12L but only 12R was available. No backup size but didn't need it. I wore flats and the length was just right. I went braless, which is nice. The bust area, for me, was a little large but I still had some support. I received many compliments throughout the night. I was sad to send this one back. 

Fit was great, but the dress was noticeably long,  even with heels.  Note to self: next time order petite

This dress was very beautiful. It is very well made, classy and vintage at the same time. I'm currently 3 months post partum so I'm still not used to my new dimensions. I'm breastfeeding and everything fit well except for my chest area. It flattened my boobs and made it slightly uncomfortable. The top of the dress/neckline was oddly slightly looser. Ironic as it was snug on my chest. This was my 2nd choice if my other option didn't fit, I would have dealt with the sports bra affect. 

I got so many compliments on this gown. If you are petite the chest may be a little lower than you'd like. I had to use an adhesive bra to make sure it didn't peek through the top of the bodice. There's no stretch to this dress so I recommend sizing up just so you can have a little breathing room. This dress was so beautifully detailed and flattering. I would wear it again!

For me, it FIT right, but was longer than I'd like -- with medium-height heels on, the hem cleared the ground, but just barely (and e.g. walking outside, I felt like I had to pick it up a little). Otherwise really nice dress, though, and fit well!

This dress is beautiful and I received so many compliments at the Gatsby party I wore it to. Caution for those who are shorter, it may be worth it to order a short. I'm 5'4" and can generally wear regulars with heels, but even with heels this dress was 3-4 inches too long. I would 100% rent again, just in a short!

I rented this for a NYE roaring 20's themed party. I went in full on Downton Abbey evening attire. This dress was perfect!

This is a Beautiful dress with a lot of embroidery details. It fit great, but was shorter than I like. I am 5'8 & wore flat shoes under the dress. Plenty of room in the bust, waist, & lace arms.
The dress was Perfect for a Romantic Dinner on the Napa Wine Train!

Wore it for a red carpet event. Fit perfectly. Many compliments.

This is a stunning dress that I'd rate a five except I feel where the waist line hits that it made me look larger than I am, and was not very flattering on my large bust size. I did not wear a bra, so perhaps it would've been better with one. I sized up based on other reviews and decided on the long length which was perfect with my 4 inch heels. I paired this with a strappy sparkly silver heel, silver jeweled earrings and a bright red lip. 

I wore this as mother of the groom. I receive so many compliments. The quality of the dress was amazing.

This was my first experience with rent the runway! The dress was absolutely gorgeous for the gala I went to. I'm 5'6, 140lbs and 34B cup size. I wore sticky boobs rather than a bra. I could have sized up in the dress to a 6R..it was tight around my ribs but very comfortable otherwise. If you're planning on dancing the night away, it's very hard to raise your arms-the shoulder area was a bit tight for me. Other than that, the dress was fabulous and I'll surely be ordering from RTR very soon!!

Fitted top and waist with a very flowy skirt. Such a flattering dress. I'm 5'10 and the long fit perfectly with 2 inch block heels. 

This dress was beautiful but felt a little matronly on me. Ended up wearing my backup dress. I would say this dress was true to size and the 6 regular fit great. Im 5'5" and the regular was a perfect length with heels. 

I wore this in a photoshoot in Paris. It was really comfortable and so much fun to wear. 

I rented this dress for a black tie optional wedding and it did not disappoint. It fit me perfectly. I got so many compliments l! I ended up getting a 16L, which was way too long for me, but I made it work with 3 inch heels. No regrets about this beautiful dress! 

Gorgeous dress.  Very comfortable and got tons of compliments all night.  Length was perfect with 3.5 inch heels.  

This dress was beautiful, I actually ordered as a back up and ended up using the other dress. But if I had another event would have definitely used . 

I have a large chest which makes it hard to find fun dresses. This dress was the perfect mix and wasn't too tight on my chest. 

Loved this dress and I received a ton of compliments from other wedding guests. Fit true to size on the long side for me 5'6". 

Loved everything about this gown! Worn for a music recital which included some Ophelia songs (it seemed to fit the mood. There were a couple loose strings on the hem, though no one noticed.

Fit was perfect. My body type fits well in 0R for all Marchesa dresses. The length was long, but it felt more flowy than cumbersome. Complimented lots!

Wore this dress to a formal gala and it was perfect! The dress is so beautiful and got tons of compliments. The designs are very intricate and look great, plus the mesh at the top makes this pretty and not too revealing. It was nice to have something that stands out from many other black dresses in a room. Dress fits true to size and was super easy to wear. It's very light weight, and the length was perfect with 3-inch heels so I didn't worry about tripping. Would definitely rent this again!

Perfect fit. If anything, on the larger size because I sometimes wear a 6, but I ended up in the 4R. I wore flats but would probably want a 4L if I had worn heels. It was very comfortable and flattering in the best ways. I was a tiny bit self conscious that you could see my strapless bra through the Polka dot mesh. But I love this dress and would highly recommend it!

This dress was comfortable. Do not plan on wearing a bra as it will ruin the look. The dress fits well enough to hold in the girls. It was lightweight and feminine but just a bit snug in the waist. I would rent this dress again!

This dress was so beautiful and elegant. The sheer top made it feel classy modest at first glance but sexy at closer look. As someone with a large bust, this dress was great because it didn't make me feel uncomfortably exposed like some other v-neck dresses do, but was beautiful and flattering on my figure. 

The regular length wasn't available to rent, so I rented the long, and it was definitely too long... Ha! No surprise. So I would say the sizing estimates are pretty dang accurate. 

Loved this dress! Fit really well and was super flattering and super comfortable. It was a little low cut for my taste so I wore a black bandeau under it and it looked great. Has a cute back. Got lots of compliments and matched my handsome boyfriend super well :) 

I didn't want to return this dress!!!! Got compliments on it all night long and more importantly it made me feel beautiful! Im a size 8, and I got the size 8L because 8r wasn't in stock, and it was definitely too long but I just had to lift it when I walked. Other then that, it fit like a glove. I'm big chested and it is definitely comes very low (I kept checking to make sure no one was getting a show), but the support of the dress made me feel secure and comfortable and there were no mishaps! Wish I could keep it!!! Rent this dress!!!

Super comfortable, beautiful gown.  It's more lightweight than I had envisioned in the picture, which I loved.  The polka dot mesh still keeps it somewhat "sexy" yet has a slight ball gown feel.  Lots of compliments! 

Fit like a glove. Covered all my fatty areas (tummy, arms, armpit fat) while still looking classy and sexy. Didn't even have to bust out my spanx! Length was perfect with 3" heels! 

This dress made me feel beautiful. The material was lovely, it was thick enough to not show any bumps or imperfections. It was very comfortable, and easy to wear. I ordered the 8L, and it was almost too long. I'm 5'9" and wore 3" heels. I'm pear shaped and the hip area fit fine, but the chest was too big (I'm 36B). I normally wear a 10 in pants, so the dress ran big overall. I would totally wear this again! Might try the 6L next time to see if the top fits better.
