I loved this dress online but when I ordered it, my size was no longer available so I sized up to a 10.  It was large in the bust & slightly in the hips but I made it work. The colors and craftsmanship were beautiful. A size 8 would have fit me perfectly. I received lots of compliments but I would have felt happier in a smaller size. I would rent this dress again.

I loved this beautiful dress with intricate lace bird/flower detail, but there was very little breast support. I will rent but never buy Marchesa since I have so few formal events in my life. 

I needed my usual size 4 but it was unavailable due to someone returning it late. However the 6 did work just a little roomier than I’m used to. So it’s great that you could order your size or up and it still works. I couldn’t be happier with the dress, compliments galore. Perfect for an outdoor summer wedding.

Wore this to a late summer wedding reception. The deep, bright blue is a perfect contrast for the pink applique flowers. I was a little worried that the lace might look flimsy but it didn't and in fact it looked elegant and well-made. I got SOooooo many compliments. I was about to mark that it runs slightly too large because it does, except the arms/halter area. To be safe, go with your regular size. I paired with pink open-toed kitten heels...and I was this close to buying it because it's just so beautiful in person. DO rent it!!

Beautiful dress and perfect fit. Tons of compliments. Fabric was gorgeous and loved the halter style for look as well as for dancing! 

This dress is definitely a stand out!   I maybe could have sized down but the dress was so flattering it wasn’t obvious that it was a little roomy.  I used Hollywood tape to stick it to my bra so it wouldn’t show.  Got tons of compliments and wore it all day comfortably!

Would definitely recommend sizing down. Chest is a bit large compared to the rest of the dress, could have used some double sided tape. While it’s fitted, the skirt had enough room for my 18wk bump. Wore my normal size, but if not pregnant would have needed to size down. 

I wish I had a better photo...sorry. the color is beautiful and the neckline is stunning.  Better with a strapless bra.

This dress is fantastic. So many complements. Fit perfectly. I loved it and considered purchasing it. 

The dress is a stunning work of art, but with no bust support, I couldn't wear it. I tried it with a strapless bra, but no dice — it still wasn't enough. 

I loved this dress so much. The fit was great and it was comfortable to move around in. The fabric doesn't have any give to it though, so make sure to feel confident on sizing.

I’m normally a 4 (sometimes 6) & wore a 2 in this dress. 5’4”, 135lb, 34c. I was able to wear a regular strapless bra. Dress is so pretty but also so scratchy around the neck!

Such a fun dress. Wore to a wedding and received compliments all night. 

I’m very chesty so it felt a wee bit tight in the start of day but that’s not surprising. If you are smaller than a DDD/F you should be fine. However if you are in an A-B cup, I suspect you’d have more room than you’d like and should size down. 

If you are chesty, zipping up mayyyy take a second but the girls are secured all evening. The zipper is flimsy so be patient. I thought the dress accentuated my curves and kept it’s shape the whole event. The neckline started to dig/irritate by the end of the night (about 9 hours later) so keep in mind if you have sensitive skin.

I felt amazing in this dress and got compliments all evening! Sized up because my regular size wasn't available. I did have to wear a strapless bra to make up for the larger bodice, but it was fine. Would have been nice to go bra-less in my regular size. 

I'm usually a solid 6 and wore an 8, so runs slightly small.   Great lace detail with a lining and can wear a strapless bra. 
The lace around the neck can irritate a bit after a long evening.   Should be fine with moisturizing beforehand.  

I ended up buying this dress because I needed it longer than the time allowed. I did get it altered by having the back shorted a bit so that it covered a strapless bra.  Other comments about it not having any give were true; and I probably should have sized down to an 8 for a bit better fit in the bust. As for a wrap, I didn't want to go too matchy-matchy with the pink or try and find something in the same blue, so went tonal. Pashmina and fascinator both from Amazon. Shoes are Chinese Laundry from Nordstrom.

Loved this dress so much, the only downside is that the neckline caused a little chaffing by the end of the night but I loved wearing it so much I didn't mind.

This is an absolutely beautiful dress. The top runs large which several other reviews state. Comfortable dress. Caution: I ordered 2 sizes in this dress & smaller size was needed but wrong dress was sent in smaller size.  I wore a backless bra w/ this dress. 

I rented this dress for a spring wedding and couldn't have been happier! The dress is lovely in person and photographs well. The color is stunning, true royal blue with pretty pink accents. I loved the detailing. I typically wear a size 2, but I ended up sizing down to my backup size 0, mostly because of room in the torso for the 2. My strapless bra was low-cut enough to wear; I think a more standard one might show, but it would have been fine to wear without a bra. Would definitely recommend!

Loved this dress, awesome for an hour glass figure, so comfortable, good to travel with, and received compliments all night. I'm petite with curves on my trunk and chest, and it hugged all the right spots. Wore this to a wedding in the UK and was a huge hit!! Debating purchasing!

Was so excited to wear this dress. Unfortunately did not work on a petite build. The back strap was much too long and gaped.
