This dress was so easy to wear. It does runs big so I would size down one. I'm normally large but after reading reviews I ordered the medium and I still had plenty of room. 
Pros- low maintenance, pockets, comfortably forgiving without looking sloppy, versatile, cool

Some dresses arrive new with tags, but feel comfortable and familiar like an old favorite you've worn for years. This is one of them. It's  simple and perfect. Effortless and chic. Shorter than I usually wear, but loose enough that I don't feel self conscious. I anticipate wearing it year round: as is in the summer, with black tights and ankle boots in fall, a military jacket in spring, and leggings and oversized cardigan in winter. Runs a bit big, but true to size for Madewell.

Love this dress for a casual/daytime party. Got several compliments! My only complaint is it was a little shorter than I would have preferred. I'm 5'6" and have wide hips... So maybe on someone shorter/less curvy it would be perfect! 

Fit true to size, comfy, worn on a travel day and to a few casual social events.

I wore this so many times through my rental period. Loved it.

Rented this for a vacation and kept it for over a month! Loved how easy it was to just throw on for a myriad of occasions - pool cover up, lunch date, errands, etc. The perfect rental for lazy summers. 

This looks very short on the model but a great casual summer dress for my 5'1" straight frame.  Cool and comfortable all day.  I am a 0/2 and the XS was perfect.  Had to iron down the pockets but otherwise this was a winner.

I wore this a couple of times since it's just a classic piece. It looks great with tennis shoes or sandals. Would recommend for an effortless look.

Fit true to size.  I'm 5'3 and 130 lbs, athletic build, and a small fit me just right. 

Loved this dress so much! Definitely is bigger in the fit, but a great every day dress. 

I liked this dress but as other have mentioned, it's very short. I am 5'3" and could not raise my arms above my head without showing off the goods. Definitely wearable! The loose fit betrays how short it is. Tall gals should probably avoid this dress.

Outfit was roomy and comfortable.  Since I am 5'3" it was not too short. Could easily be worn for a maternity outfit. I could have probably used a medium.

This fit a little larger than I would have liked, but it was very comfortable and cute. A great transition piece from Summer to Fall! You can wear with sandals or boots. 

So easy to wear. I wore this like 5 days in a row for everyday errands. Fit is so comfy. It's pretty shapeless but I felt cute in it, not frumpy. 

This was a good length for my height.  Usually things are way too long.  I put my Gucci belt with it to define the waist.  I would say it wasn't love but I definitely liked it!

Very short for tall women!! I'm 5'10" and there was not a chance I could wear this in public! Even as a beach cover up. Super cute if I were a little shorter :)

Cute for everyday errands but nothing special. It's boxy and slightly short. 

I could not get the pockets to lay flat - they constantly popped up and out. I tried to iron them and steam them and had no luck. If this wasn't an issue, it would be a super cute dress. It does run BIG though so if you are in between sizes, consider ordering down. The material was soft and it wasn't wrinkled at all when it came out of the shipping bag which was great! Anyways, if you can figure out the pockets (or have a dress that doesn't do it?) this would be fun to bop around in.

Rented as a fall transitional piece. I expected it to run large, but it's not flattering at all! Totally shapeless. Ok with a belt, but nothing special. 

I expected this to have a roomie fit, but I was swimming in it! Size down, maybe by two sizes!

Didn't wear, a huge boxy fit touching no part of my shape. 

SUPER cute and comfy...this can be dressed up or down.  it is great quality (Madewell usually is) and short enough to be flirty! love love love it!
