Comes with a cotton slip. I wore it as a beach coverup and also just as a dress. 

I really wanted to love this dress. It fits nicely as long as you’re not top heavy. It did wrinkle easily. 

Loved this and not too short for tall gals!

This dress is so cute for the transition months when it’s not too hot or cold. I loved the fit, and thought for a “sack style” it actually showed some curves well. 

Very put together and chic summer look. Material was slightly heavier than I expected. 

This white dress looks pretty nice, but it’s a little difficult to put on.

This dress ran true to size, but absolutely requires a slip underneath. I loved the detail on the edges. Easy and lightweight, but do not rent if you don’t have something to wear underneath.

Arrived new with tags. Nice dress with pockets. I sized up and regret it. Order true to size. 

Very beautiful detail to this dress.  A tad tight in my bust but wouldn’t want any bigger or it would be too puffy.   Overall very pretty.  

The fit was off for me. Too short and poofy in the skirt. The sleeves too poofy as well. Belt helped but didn’t love the whole thing 

I received so many compliments. I was covered, but did not feel stuffy. It was very comfortable to wear and not frumpy. It was flattering and forgiving, even in white. 

I was actually surprised how much I liked this dress! I could have gotten away with a medium, but the large at least gave me a bit more length. The built in slip is great for creating opaqueness, and the embroidery is just lovely. Just an overall beautiful, easy to throw on spring/summer dress for lots of occasions! 

Flattering and cute! Long enough to be appropriate, but short enough to be flirty!

needs a slip if you are wearing it as a dress. very see through even with nude undergarments. light an airy, love the pockets. very feminine

This was a surprisingly beautiful dress.  I don’t normally love Madewell but this one made my day. 

I have rented this dress twice. One of my favorite pieces. Great fit an comfortable.

5’5” 144 lb the medium fit perfectly it’s a casual dress wore out to lunch with leather sandals 

I love this dress and would buy if it was in my budget right now. Def coming back for this one

not see through, simple, quite comfortable.  

Even with skintone or white undies this was a bit see-through and a little billowy to feel fully comfortable during my commute. However, the material was good for a hot day 18 weeks pregnant.

Love details. Beautiful hood for hot weather. I did 4 because lining is attached to the dress little uncomfortable 

This was fine and did the job. Forgiving fit for newly post-partum, which was the goal, and appropriate for church and school drop off. Nothing too special. It comes with an attached slip dress which I found an extra effort to figure out how to adjust when wearing.
