I recently had the opportunity to wear Madewell's Black Activewear Dress for a coffee date with my best friend at a local flower nursery. I had high hopes for this dress, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. Here's my honest review:

First and foremost, the fit of the dress was less than flattering. While I was looking for something that would accentuate my figure, this dress didn't quite do the job. It seemed a bit too long, which made me feel a bit frumpy rather than chic. I was hoping for a more tailored and flattering silhouette, but it just didn't deliver.

Another issue I encountered was with the top of the dress, specifically near the neckline. It simply didn't lay flat as it should have, which was quite disappointing. It gave the dress an unpolished look and detracted from the overall appeal. I believe attention to detail is crucial, especially when it comes to the design and construction of a garment, and unfortunately, this aspect was lacking.

Moreover, the inside lining of the dress was incredibly uncomfortable. The purpose of activewear is to provide comfort and ease of movement, but this dress missed the mark. The lining was unbelievably uncomfortable. It's disappointing when a supposedly well-made dress doesn't prioritize comfort.

I truly wanted to love this dress, but with its lackluster fit, the issue with the neckline, and the uncomfortable lining, it was difficult to overlook these flaws. As a consumer, I appreciate quality and attention to detail and unfortunately, this dress did not meet those expectations.

In conclusion, Madewell's Black Activewear Dress left me feeling underwhelmed. The unflattering fit, the issue with the neckline, and the uncomfortable lining made it hard to enjoy wearing this dress. I believe there are better options available that prioritize both style and comfort.

I may buy this one. Just rent it. You’ll be happy you’re wearing this and not yoga pants! 

Wore on vacation over my bathing suit for a kayaking excursion while on vacation 

Comfy, easy to wear and still look cute. Thought about buying. 

Extremely comfortable to wear. Easy to sweat in 

I wore this for a party, biking, and climbing! Ended up buying it because it's become my go-to dress.

Loooove this dress! Really considering buying it. It is a bit long on me but I am on the (way) shorter side. It's super comfortable and I can see it being a go-to this summer.
