True to size and great fabric. The fabric was on the thicker side so no panty lines showed. I did not end up even needing a bra for this dress. Very comfortable and a different pattern. I definitely would rent it again!

I've never felt sexier! This dress was simply lovely, and the nautical detail was beautiful - perfect for our vacation in New Orleans. The fabric didn't have much give, and I found myself between the 6 and the 8 - went with the 8 because we were going to dinner and I knew I was going to stuff myself full of good Cajun food.  The 6 fit like a glove that was made for specifically me in my waist, hips and length, but was snug around my rib cage after it zipped. I wouldn't have been able to wear a bra with it. The 8 was slightly longer and afforded me a little more room through the waist and hips but wasn't too baggy. Gave me that extra little bit of space in the rib cage that I needed. I wore a sticky bra under this style, and as it got cooler, I added a light, kind of sheer, white sweater that was the same length  as the dress. I wish I had a full body picture of the dress on; it's extremely well made, and well maintained by RTR. Another fabulous rental!

I love love love this dress! I didn't want to return it. I wore this dress to a horse race and it was perfect. I am usually between an 8 and a 6, and I ended up going with the 6. only problem was that the zipper was broken when it arrived, but I loved the dress too much and I fixed it with a safety pin. dress doesn't have much stretch so it was a little tight on the hips but nothing too bad. highly recommend this dress!! 

I loved this dress!  The fit was very flattering and I dressed it up with gold jewelry for a wedding.   I would definitely recommend sizing up.  I didn't even end up trying on the size 8 because it came missing the rope tie halter, so I was lucky the 10 fit well.   I am 5'10" and thought the length was appropriate for a wedding.   I wish I could have kept this one! 

What an absolutely beautiful dress! I felt the dress ran a little small and there is no give or stretch to it, as the other reviewers stated. I'd recommend sizing up for your back up.  I'm normally a 6, but the 6 was really tight and would've been fine if I was going to a cocktail party where I wouldn't be eating much or sitting a lot. However this was for my 40th birthday sit-down dinner, so I went with the 8, which was still snug, but gave me the room I needed to enjoy my night. I'd rent this dress again!


I wore this dress for a beach wedding and loved it!  The fit was great, a little on the snug side.   I did have an issue with the zipper but luckily was able to fix it.  

I wore this for a seaside wedding on Catalina Island and it was perfect. It fit me really well but the dress doesn't have any stretch - its actually kind of a stiff material. I'm short (5'1") and it hit at a great length - about mid thigh.  Also the blue is much more vibrant than in the model photo. 

This dress was a classic Lilly Pulitzer dress. The material was thick and fit nicely, and the pattern was classy but fun. No complaints about the dress! 

Went to a wedding at the Jersey Shore on the water but semi formal. I rented this & another dress in case it wasn't formal enough. The gold threading kicked it up a notch and a gold chain necklace made it even better. I'm in between size 8 & 10 and the 10 was a tad big but very comfy all night. I usually wear a bra but it didn't work . The thick lining held me in place & I danced all night with confidence. I can't tell you how many compliments came to me.  I am hooked on this website and will never buy another dress.

Great classic dress. I wore this to a high school reunion in FL. Heavy textured fabric and  high quality. It runs true to size but A bit tight. If you are between sizes, go up. I wear a 34C/D and it was a little snug in the bust.  

This dress was perfect for the Navy wedding that I went to… Although it did seem to ride up a bit around the thigh area.   The material was also a little worn, but it was truly an amazing dress and made me feel like a million bucks.  Unfortunately, the other dress I rented was ruined by the previous renter.  The stylists at RTR were so accommodating  though and I will definitely be renting from them again!!




This dress is perfect. I love the nautical design...the details are what make it - the rope tie halter with the gold Lily chain is such a nice touch! I got compliments all day long...I found out that Lily doesn't sell it anymore (wah!) but I'm searching high and low to find it so I can own it forever! Sizing: Lily usually runs a little tight/small, but this one did not. I could have gotten away with a 4.

I rented this dress for a Graduation Party in Virginia. It was extremely fitted in the hips. I loved the design and got tons of compliments. You can easily wear a strapless bra. If you have wide hips or a full booty, I recommend sizing up.  Looks great in photos! Always super happy with RTR and the customer service is exceptional!! 

This dress has no stretch or give so if you are larger on the bottom I suggest sizing up. I wore a 10 and am usually an 8 or 6 depending on the cut. As a result the dress held everything in nicely though! Received tons of complements!

Great dress! The rope neck was a little tricky, came apart a couple times during evening when I was wearing it, but maybe just a bad one. 

I loved this dress and got tons of compliments the whole night.  The nautical detail on the dress and the rope tie around the neck makes it a perfect day-wedding dress, but by adding sparkly jewelry and it worked for nighttime too. This dress is super comfortable, it fit me perfectly and great for any event.

Loved the dress and fit true to size! However, the material was pretty thick so it was a little warm for a summer shower.

The 0 dress ran a bit small but with a pinch at the top of the zipper it went right up which was great because the 2 was too big. It was a perfect classic length for a work tire event. The material was thick and rope detail was awesome. SO MANY COMPLIMENTS!!

I  don't think you can ever go wrong with a good Lilly dress.  This dress fit snug but not too tight.  It was super flattering.  Loved the nautical pattern and it was perfect for a summer event.  Dress was true to size, as I always go down a size in Lilly dresses.  Would def rent again!!  

Wore this for a friend's rehearsal dinner that was on the water in Boston. It was perfect for the occasion. I wore the 10 b/c it didn't have much give around the hips and the 8 was much too tight. 

The dress did not stretch as much as I thought and was a little snug. I ordered a 2 and 4, and went with the the snug 2 instead of the 4, which was too loose around the bust. I absolutely loved the style, the colors, and the rope detail at the neck. I have long legs and thought it was a little on the short side, but it still looked classy for a Navy commissioning ceremony. The nautical style was perfect for the event and I received many compliments all day. 

This dress was even more amazing in person! It fit perfectly and is so beautifully made. I got a ton of compliments and it was the perfect nautical look for a rehearsal dinner at a marina. RTR proves their awesomeness once again!

I rented this dress for my 20th birthday, and even though my friends and I just went to paint pottery it still made me feel special. I didn't look as good in this as the model, for some reason it kind of gave me a pooch in the stomach. Since the fabric isn't stretchy at all it just kind of gathered there. But as long as I was standing and I had it pulled down the whole way It looked great.

I wore this to a rehearsal dinner and it a great dress for the occasion.  I think this dress probably runs true to size or even a little big.  I ordered last minute so got a 0 and a 6 since they were the only sizes left.  The 0 would have fit perfectly but I had some side boob happening, so wish I could have went with the 2, which probably would have been a perfect fit in the top then.  I ended up going with the 6 which was a bit big in the boobs and even bigger in the rest of the dress, but still looked fine even though it wasn't tight fitted like intended.  I loved the back with the rope and chain detail.  This dress is sorta heavy but really well made.  

Like other reviewers have said, the dress runs small in the hip area. I had to wear my backup size because I've got a good-sized bum and thighs. But by doing that it made the dress baggy around my waist and slightly large in the chest area, which is odd since I'm not small-chested. Overall, the dress was very pretty and was perfect for the occasion. Please note that one of the dresses did not come with the white neck clasp/tie. The dress would be completely unwearable without it. Glad I had the backup dress! 

My wedding was a nautical theme and this dress was perfect for the rehearsal dinner. It was so comfortable and I got so many compliments. I really wished I could have kept this one. 

I think a size 0 would have fit perfectly but the size 2 was wearable. I rented this as my free birthday rental and wore it out for a fancy dinner. It's so cute and photographs perfectly. Love it! 

This dress was gorgeous and so fitting for a lake side wedding/reception.  It fit perfectly (I am a perfect size 2 in Lilly dresses), it was snug (didn't need to wear a bra, thank goodness since I HATE strapless bras) to my body but not so tight I couldn't breath or move.  The fabric was heavy but not to wear I was uncomfortable and sweating (and this is August in Florida).  My BIGGEST complaint is that the clasp is soooo cheaply made.  As soon as I got the dress and took it out of the box (still on the hanger) I noticed that the clasp to go around the neck was broken.  Luckily I was able to fix it and try on the dress.  Though after I tried on the dress and I was putting it back on the hanger the clasp  portion broke again (different area) and again I was able to fix it, after this point I wasn't sure I was going to be able to wear this dress since I wasn't able to get a back-up size (the back-up size was damaged and I was notified the day before my dress was to arrive, I did get a different dress but the new one I had to pick out just didn't look good on me or fit right).  To my surprise I was able to wear the dress and it made it through most of the night but finally the clasp just died at the end of the night.  I am still so happy I got to wear the dress but I am so highly disappointed in the quality of this dress.  I expected so much more out of a Lilly Pulitzer dress and this could have been a terrible wardrobe malfunction since I was not wearing a bra.  But I def would recommend this dress for any events near water (beaches, lakes, ships, etc)

This dress was perfect for a summer wedding. I got so many compliments! The fit was perfect - it was easy to dance and have a good time in this dress! I am usually a size 2 but I ordered a 2 and 4 (because Lilly Pulitzer sizes can vary) but the 2 fit just right. 

The dress fits true to size , I lived the color and the way it looked on. Lots of complements!!!

This dress was different and very easy to wear.  It did run small and is very tight in the mid section. I didn't wear a bra and everything stayed in place.  Easy to dance and comfortable.  This dress has a very nautical theme.

I'm pretty small, normally a size 0.  Not only did I need the 2, I felt it made me look heavier.

Dress was fantastic! LOVE LOVE LOVE! The clasp on the dress was broken when I got it- but I could still wear it. You must wear a strapless bra with this and the length is great. There is no give- so don't expect a stretchy material.  I got a ton of compliments and would love to own it if I could.  GREAT DRESS, one of my favorite rentals so far!
