This dress was incredible! The deep plunge was easy to adjust depending on how much you wanted to show and stayed put all night, even with heavy dancing. I’m normally a 4-6 but wore the 8 because like others, the waistband fits snug. Overall incredible dress! 

Absolutely loved the way I looked and felt in this dress. I wore it to a kaleidoscope themed fundraising gala. It fit the bill and I was complimented all night. As others have said, be sure to have some body tape on hand to secure the sides and avoid a nip slip. 

HOWEVER, the top portion of the dress is held up by a tiny strap that connects the two panels of fabric behind the neck and is brought together at the waistband which hit me about 3 inches under the bust and about 2 inches above my natural waist. The closure on the back is designed as a zipper only and therefore ensures a lot of stress. I had zipper issues (reported to rent the runway), but I do think this is a design issue. A hook and eye closure would be more fitting given the stress of the waistband. 

Size down! Rented a 12 and 14 and went for the 12- the tight waist and shoulder fit makes it so much better. My 3rd time renting from this designer- so good.

As all other reviews, def have to tape yourself in. I didn’t actually get to wear it, but this was my choice for a beachfront country club wedding. It fits perfectly at natural waist and is flowy and comfortable and gorgeous colors. A low heel would work for me, and it’s just snug enough at the waist which is where the zipper ends, hence I sized up for comfort. Will absolutely order this ASAP

I loved this dress! I’m 5’6-5’7” and 130 pounds. The size 12 (UK) fit great. The 10 was a bit too tight at the band. I used boob tape to hold the sides just right. So many compliments! This is a comfortable and fun dress. 

Felt fabulous and got tons of compliments! The colors were so vibrant, it definitely was a head turner. Even at a wedding with quite a few pleat style dresses, the print really stood out. Echoing what other reviews said, the waist band was too snug and I went with my backup size 8. A little extra fabric to work with up top, but was much more comfortable. Tall girl friendly! Had some initial concerns that it might be too revealing, but you can really adjust to your comfort level with tape. Sexy in the classiest way, and if you’re ready to spend 30ish min figuring out placement, you won’t regret this one!

This dress was gorgeous! Agree that sizing is tricky and you will need LOTS of fashion tape. That being said it stayed in place through plenty of dancing and for many compliments. 

Wore to a pride month gala. Very cute. A little long. I taped each shoulder together underneath because the sleeves were a little long/oddly shaped otherwise. Very cute!

I loved the colors of this dress, but you really need to hold it in place since it’s low cut. 

This dress is absolutely gorgeous. The colors and the fabric are amazing. It’s bare, though, especially along the sides, so be ready to do some taping to keep everything covered. 

As many have mentioned, the straps are very long so my husband had to pin in the back. The effort was worth it. I felt so comfortable and received so many compliments throughout the night. Truly a stunner! 

This dress was perfect but gets four stars because it was waaaayyy to big up top and required a lot of fashion tape

As other’s have said this one is really tight on the waist. I originally went with my normal size, the top looked awesome, but the waist was a bit too tight. The next size up (this one), fit in waist, but the top was too big and not as cute. Didn’t end up wearing. 

I normally wear an 8 and the 14 was snug. 

This dress is absolutely stunning. The rich blue and purple colors were even more beautiful in person, and it flowed elegantly with every step I took. I received compliments on it all night! However, the sizing is very difficult to work with.
If you have a tall, "Barbie" figure—meaning a very tiny waist and a full chest—this dress will likely fit you perfectly. For everyone else, be prepared to do some serious work. As a standard size 4, I had to size up to a 10 just to fit the extremely tight waistband. This meant the top was far too big, and I had to use a ton of fashion tape to keep it in place. Even with that, I never felt fully secure and ended up wearing a dark blue lace bra to feel confident that I wouldn't expose myself accidentally.
While it looked amazing in the end, if you're not comfortable with the idea of a tricky fit, lots of fashion tape, and a revealing style, you might want to consider other options.

Wore to a summer wedding and the free flowing style kept me cool the whole time. The colors are gorgeous, and the style is perfect. Make sure you have dress tape, it’s 100% needed! The band is a bit tight so if you are In between sizes definitely size up. 

got so many compliments on this dress and felt absolutely gorgeous. I get all the comments about the waistband running small; I got the 8 and the 10 just in case and wound up wearing the 8, which fit comfortably at first but felt tight after dinner 😅 dress was also just a touch long on me; I’m 5’3 and with 3” heels had to watch out for the occasional person stepping on my dress. wore pasties just in case, and used a small piece of fashion tape on each side to keep me feeling secure even through a night of dancing full-out. truly one of my all-time favorite rentals; bury me in this dress plz.

It definitely requires a few strips of fashion tape on the sides and the upper back if you’re like me and can’t fill it out but it wasn’t too much of a headache and the tape stayed on for almost the whole night! 

I typically wear size 4  but this dress I wore size 10. Don’t forget fashion tape and sticky cups. This dress is gorgeous and comfortable but one must be ultra confident showing a lot of skin :)  there is no give at the waist so size up you will thank me later :) 

I loved this dress so much & got sooo many compliments. I’m normally a 6, so I ordered the sizes 10 & 12 & ended up going with the 12! The 10 was a little tight in the waist band & there isn’t any stretch to the fabric, so the 12 was more comfy for me. I didn’t use any boob tape, but probably should have — I had to hold the top of the dress while dancing & it gaped a little when sitting. Overall I am obsessed with the colors & style of this dress & wish I could wear it a million times! 

By the time I sized up enough for the band to fit, the top was so loose even fashion tape was insufficient. (38b/size 10) I couldn't wear it. Some other ladies at the event were rocking the dress though. Size up! 

I loved the color and the sleeves! I have broad shoulders, and am D cup. I felt it covered my chest enough (I did not wear a bra and my boobs stayed in place lol). And was flattering with my waist. SIZE UP for the waist as everyone said! I almost didn’t listen but am relieved I did!

Loved this dress! Pleating and colors are very fun. Used a small amount of fashion tape on the neckline and it stayed put all night without issues. Would rent again. Fits a US size 0 well. 

The dress was perfect for a spring wedding - received so many compliments! The dress needs double side fashion tape to stay in place but other than that it was great!

I loved this dress from the moment it arrived. The online pictures truly don't do it justice. Glad I read the reviews here about sizing! Before renting, I found a sizing chart for L'Idee and determined I would be between an 8 or 10. The 10 was slightly loose around the ribcage for me, whereas the 8 was on the snug side (my underbust is 29"). Ended up choosing to wear the 8. Barely managed to get away with the length of the dress wearing 4" heels with no platform. As others have said, tape is definitely needed! 10/10 recommend, would wear again, would buy it if I knew I had more events to wear it to. 

Wore it to a wedding in Puerto Rico and WOW this dress is show stopper. The bride loved it and the complements were abundant! It definitely has an interesting fit though and boob tape and/or dress tape is a must to keep your ladies in. After dinner it was a tad tight on my mid section. I wore 2.5-3" wedges and it worked out well! I'm definitely pear athletic shape, so lots of room for the booty, but if I had a bigger chest not sure this dress would have worked out!! Loved this dress so much, will definitely consider buying it in the future! 

Zipper is very difficult and waste band has zero give. 

Like other reviewers said, the waist band is really tight, I don't know how but I couldn't zip up the size 6, but the size 8, while it zipped, was still relatively tight but wearable and the chest WAS big! I needed like 10 strips of fashion tape for my boobs to not literally fall out, but otherwise, wore nipple covers and once I got the tape organized, it was great. Felt super hot and got tons of compliments

I’m so greatly for the previous reviews. As a result, I ordered the size up due to the rib cage comments. Yes that band runs small but the 6 was a perfect fit. Plus the double sided tape is necessary if you do not have a chest to fill the dress, which I do not. I loved the dress and felt so confident all night. 

The colors are bold and eyecatching!  I agree with everyone that the waistband is tight (had to suck it in to zip) and have lots of fashion tape ready. Otherwise be prepared for lots of boob showing!  

I dropped jaws in this dress!!! Prepare to have all eyes on you when you wear this! I sized up to accommodate the band around the torso. I’m typically an 8 and I wore a 14. Other than that, no notes. It’s gorgeous!

I got so many compliments on this gorgeous dress! You definitely need some dress tape and I was glad I read reviews and ordered a size 10 (I usually wear a 6). 

This dress is an absolute show stopper!  Be sure Ans pack your pasties and clear boob tape ;)

This is by far THE BEST dress I've ever worn.  It's beautiful, elegant, flattering - just rent it!  FYI, fashion tape is a must.

I felt like a goddess when I put this on! I received so many compliments when wearing it. It fit me perfectly, but I have a freakishly small waist to the rest of my body so the other warnings about the waist being too small is probably accurate.

Double sided tape will be a must! Got a ton of compliments wore this for a fund raising Gala. I ended up wearing the size 6 NOT the 10 it was way too large
