True to size.  A little snug around ribs/midsection so would size up if larger in the middle.  The skirt is between A line and sheath so if rounder on the bottom but smaller on top can still comfortably size for the top.  But its not quite so a line that a petite or narrow frame would get lost.  I wore in winter and put button down underneath w tights and ankle boots. could work with blazer, cardigan.  High quality material; gold zipper detail in back.  Feels high quality.  I can tell I will wear it many times.

Rented this dress for a rehearsal dinner I was attending as a guest and it worked perfectly! Fit was flattering and the material was comfortable. Would work well dressed down for the office, too.

Tight through the chest and upper waist but it was a great length for me! I'm 5'9" and it was long enough that I wasn't stressed about wearing it with heels!

Loved this dress! I rented this for work, but it also shifts beautifully into an evening event as well. It's got a little bit of stretch so is super comfortable. The length is perfect for shorter gala like me, and the gold zipper on the back adds interest as well. Would definitely rent again! 

This dress is super cute and flattering.  The seams and darts hit at just the right spot, and the length is work appropriate while still being fun.  The fabric is substantial, but it wasn't too hot on a 90 degree day in New Orleans.  For winter, you could definitely wear this with tights and a sweater.  Pet owners, take note: it is a lint magnet!

I rented this for an interview and it fit like a glove. Perfect under a blazer and true to size. The stretchy material was nice and thick. A little snug in the chest but perfect length for work.

Anything work appropriate on our website is a huge win for me! This dress is simple but can easily be jazzed up with a jacket, some nice earrings, and a cute pair of shoes. The style is fitted throughout the waist, so do size up if you want more comfort in that area. At 5'6, this still comes up a little above the knee, making this wearable for work! It will be best for A to C cups so if you do have a fuller bust, maybe size up! Can't wait to wear this one to my next work event!

I love the cut and the fabric of this!!! It runs a little small so definitely size up. The 14 was the perfect length for work (I'm 5'6"). I styled this with a tie blouse underneath it for work and loved the outfit all day. 

I loved the quality of the thick material, and the length is good for work (I'm 5'4 and hit just above the knee).  The black is versatile with many tights and accessories and/or a pop of color. The only trouble with this dress is the wool is such that it gets very, very linty.

This is an easy to wear classic black dress. I wore it to an interview dressed up with classic pumps, the ballet with evening heals and jewelry and everyday for work with a tweed jacket. It's a very heavy weight pointe fabric that holds its shape, with simple princess seaming. 

I love that I can layer this dress. The material is thick and the stitching hugs my curves perfectly. 

Made me look like a penguin more so than Audrey Hepburn. Lined and over defined at the shoulders. 2 stars only because it's black.

I sized up to a 14 based on other reviews as I'm a 36DD and this dress fit me like it was tailored for my body.   This almost never happens to me, and certainly not with Kate Spade as I feel like the brand is not best for curvy ladies so color me surprised.  I love how it cuts close to the body in the abdomen area then flares out and does so while not making my stomach look fat.   The material is structured and does not wrinkle and this to me is an all seasons material and dress.  At 5'2 the dress hit me slightly above my knee which is ideal for me but taller ladies may find it a bit short for the office.  I may buy this dress. It seriously made my day.

Dress fits true to size with great flair.  Wears well for daytime big business and into cocktail/dinner.  One of my favorite dresses I've ever worn for work day to night!

I liked this dress overall. It did run a little small, however, it was flattering for my curvy body type. It was perfect for work and the fabric was comfortable all day long. I wore this dress 4 times. 

Usually don’t go for this frame of dress for my curvy body shape, but it fit great.

I rented a size up, and I still can't get the zipper past the lower back. What a bummer because this dress has a substantial material that's perfect for the chilly, drizzly wedding I wanted to wear it to.

Nicely tailored, high quality dress. I liked the slightly A-line skirt, which made it a bit different. The fabric was thick and silky--I used it for work and a business lunch, but it could just as easily take you to a cocktail party. It runs a bit small--it was quite fitted on me, even though 8 is my large size and I've worn other Kate Spade dresses in a size 6. 

This dress is lovely.  It fits comfortably and looks perfect.  I wore it for an event in which I was live streaming at a conference in NYC.  I felt like it helped me look the part of a professional. 

I have to wear black for work and this fun fit and flare is comfortable, flattering and classic. Great to use as a base for fun accessories 

This dress was perfect for a big meeting at work! Easy to pair with a blazer for a polished look and was comfortable throughout the day. Fit is a little tight through the chest/ribs. 

Great dress for work outings and the office! 

This isn't the best work dress ever, but its a staple for sure. I wore to an interview for a job (that I got!). I work in accounting so this was nice formal alternative to a suit and was flattering for what it is. I paired it with a printed blazers and black flats. Great length, good fit. I could have gone with an 8 but I was worried about the length and being too short for an interview.

This dress is perfect. I dressed it up for work with high heel sandals and it looked great. I also dressed it down with flats and a jean jacket for running around after work and it still managed to look great. I'm normally a 12, but because of my hips, opted to go with a 14. It fit a little large, but no one could notice.  

This is my go to dress for a work meeting or event that I need to be understated for. I wore this dress for my work headshot too! It has a great A-line shape but the fabric is super thick so probably not ideal for hot weather.

I love this dress and have rented multiple times. I size up as I have a larger chest and the fabric doesn't have stretch. This dress accentuates curves in a work-appropriate way. 

I ordered this to wear to a conference were I was presenting. It was very flattering and professional looking. I did order up a size because I have large hips and was worried it would be too tight, but I probably could have ordered my true size without any issues. I will definitely rent this again for future important work events.
