Runs a bit large, flattering design, not too short.
This dress was super comfortable and the material was like neoprene so no need for spanks or a push up bra! Despite reviews I loved the thickness, it was NOT too hot and I wore this to a summer wedding. I received a TON of compliments and felt super comfortable on the dance floor. The length is sexy yet modest and the design draws the eye into the waistline, enhancing that hourglass shape! I would absolutely wear this again. They didn't have an XS available, but I feel that would have been a better fit for me. However, no one noticed it was a bit big.

I liked the dress just wish the top wasn't so low but overall it worked out great.
I listened to the other reviews and ordered a size lower than what I would normally and I'm glad I listened.

Fun dress, odd fit.
Wish I could have worn this dress for NYE. The dress is very well made however very thick material. As others have stated sleeves run long, will need double sided tape. I did not wear in the end because dress was snug on my chest and hips but quite loose on the waist. Odd fit for an hourglass figure like myself.

Very flattering, comfortable and glamorous.
Oddly enough, the XS was larger than the S. Straps kept falling and zipper in the back kept sliding down, had to pin the top to prevent it.

Awkward fit
I ordered this dress in a medium and large and strangely neither fit. The medium was too tight and the large felt 2 sizes to big. The fabric was so thick that when I walked it bunched up and appeared wrinkled. Unfortunately I was unable to wear it at all.

Totally different.
I really liked the dress but wasn't a fan of the scuba fabric. Doesn't necessarily hug your curves like it should and bunches up around the hip area. Order a size down so it fits more snugly. It's very cute though and different.

Cool dress, but not enough room for a D cup.
Agree with the other reviews that the material is very thick - like a scuba suit. I liked the look of the dress but it was unflattering on me. The body of the dress was quite snug, which would have been fine, but I could barely zip it over my chest. The medium was not available, so I only had the small. I did not wear this, and went with my backup choice.

Different
This dress is the most interesting dress that I have ever worn. The material is extremely thick and it is well made. The black material feels like it is from a satin wet suit and the gold material is very shimmery. A dress like this should be firm fitting. I wore a size medium and had the size large as my back up - I should have ordered a size down. Because it felt big, the straps were very long, but I solved this with double-stick lingerie tape. The satin bolero jacket I'm wearing in the photo is mine, though the gold cuff is rented. I would definitely recommend this dress - order your true size and then one smaller.

This dress is the bomb, very chic and sophisticated. It hugs your body in a graceful feminine way.
The fit was good, a little big through the front it kind of bunched up, except at the bust which fit perfectly (I am a 34D), but I am petite. The straps were definitely too big and I had to use double sided stick tape to tape down to my shoulders/bra. If I owned the dress i would have hemmed the straps. The length hit my knees. Overall when you put this dress on it's stunning. Heads will turn. The gold part is sort of a mesh fabric.

it fits great / really form fitting
It looks cream but it is gold and shimmery , it was little too much for the party since it was gold and not cream , but it looked amazing . the fabric is really stretchy so it fits nice.

Looking glamorous still feeling comfortable
This dress is awesome! Super sexy, without being trashy. Super comfortable, without looking baggy. Super forgiving and glam looking. This dress is a safe pick, without being boring. Go for it, you won't regret it!!!! P.S. Fabric is neoprene like, the hot fabric for dresses this year!

Odd-fitting material but will look great in photos!
For some reason I was expecting this to be more of a knit fabric, so I was very surprised when I opened my RTR box and it felt almost like a wetsuit. The black parts are a very thick neoprene-like fabric, which when I tried it on just made strange rolls and gaps, even though it was form-fitting. It photographs beautifully and is very flattering in the decolletage, but I was afraid I would be adjusting it all night so I went with my other choice. I am 5'5, 120 lbs and have a larger bust and hips with smaller waist, and the XS was the only size available when I rented but it fit well!

Hi Andrea, I've rented that dress for an upcoming event in March and was curious to know whether or not I'll be able to wear a regular bra. From the picture, the straps of the dress seems to be pretty far apart; could you please let me know? Than you!
AndreaFebruary 5, 2014
Hi Annie! I should have taken better notes of that when I tried it on - I think in the front was fine, but you may have some issues in the back. But it wouldn't be much - maybe you could do a bra that has clear straps? We seem to be about the same measurements, that's always my go-to solution (especially if I'm wearing my hair down!) But also, the fabric is very thick and structured which creates almost a corset-like fit in the bust - you might even get away without one!

Thank you Andrea, I appreciate your help with this! I think I may give it a try with a strapless spanx since I just gave birth to my second boy 3 months ago. Better be safer than sorry! ;) Overall, would you recommend this dress? It is for a wedding in Detroit, MI mid-March. Thanks for your help!!!
AndreaFebruary 11, 2014
Congratulations to you! Overall, I absolutely would - and the thick fabric will be entirely forgiving for any type of shaping undergarments. You definitely won't have to worry about seeing Spanx lines :) I personally love anything with straps and structure as I have a larger bust (still kicking myself that I let someone talk me into a strapless wedding gown!) so whenever you can wear a bra or other supporting garments underneath a fun dress, I'm all for it! You could even do a cute black leather jacket or blazer over it going to and from the venue - I'm sure Detroit mid-March will still be on the chilly side! I probably didn't give this dress a fair shake as I rented it last-minute, so it arrived at 10 a.m. the morning of my event, and this was my "second style" as I was really hoping to make the first style I chose work. If I hadn't rented the other dress, I still would have worn this! Definitely post pictures afterward!
