I marked 'just right' on the fit, but that's not entirely accurate.  It was a little big in some ways and a little small in others, but it worked out.  The top of the Sz 4 fit perfectly, but the waist was on the edge of too tight.  The waist on the Sz 6 was more comfortable with the top was gappy and the plunge neckline too deep. So I wore the Sz 4.  Even so, because I am short, I had to wear the highest heels I could to keep it off the ground in the back.  The 6 would have dragged anyway.  I enjoyed wearing it - the pockets were great, and I didn't need a coat in 50 degree weather.

This dress was prefect for our fall wedding event. I received so many compliments! 100% recommend. It’s such a beautiful dress.  

I loved this dress. I love that it had pockets. I thought the long sleeves would be too hot, but it was super light and breezy. I got so many compliments. 

Wore this dress at 15 weeks pregnant. It fit great and was super comfortable. Very slightly long on the back. Wish I owned it!

Fits well, classy for a wedding or formal affair 

I ordered 3 dresses in different styles/colors/fabrics and this one fit the best! I’m short a bit over weight and very busty. I needed a gown for a charity event and didn’t want to buy one, hence RTR. I was nervous but decided to go for it. I ordered a size up from my “normal” size based on other reviews. Everyone was right, the dress fit me perfectly, accommodating both my big bust and my belly. Even with a low heel the length was perfect. Most importantly, I felt pretty and got many compliments. The fabric was a heavy enough weight that I didn’t a wrap or sweater and I wasn’t too hot either. The dress only needed simple shoes and simple jewelry which I had and poof I was gala ready! 

This dress was so comfortable and perfect for the occasion. I could wear a normal bra and no spanx. I loved it, would buy it if I could! 

Loved this dress and hope to rent a second time.

This dress was cute. Deep V needed dress tape but I’m not a well endowed gal. Wore with 3 inch heels, without them it would have been a bit long for me being 5’2. 
Would totally rent this again got so many compliments 

I wore this dress to a formal wedding that was held at a historic hotel in November. It was a chilly but sunny day, but I was completely comfortable without any extra layers. I received many compliments and felt so elegant. I am so pleased with my first Rent the Runway experience!

Perfect for a black tie wedding in the fall. Loved the longer sleeves for warmth, and … it has pockets!!

Very comfortable and beautiful. I usually wear a size 4 or 6 and the 4 fit perfectly. I am 5’4” and it was a little long in the back so I had to wear a higher heel than what I was originally planning. And as others have mentioned it is quite low cut.

Wore this to a charity event. It was very comfortable and the fit was true to size.

This is such a wonderful dress I wanted to purchase it! It was perfect for the wedding and went well with the colors my husband wore as a groomsman. I got so many compliments and it fit well. 

Fit perfectly (size 2) and was not too long. Also super comfortable! Could wear a regular bra and it wasn’t too low cut. It was also warm, which was great for a winter wedding. The material felt thick and great quality. Better in person to see the metallic thread

A belt help dress it down but really it is a very versatile dress for many occasions.

Fit perfectly. Top half of dress is stretchy and giving, and lovely to have a dress with pockets! Plus, very comfortable!!!  I have a bigger breasts for my petite frame, so I added a lace cami underneath, since it was a work event and I didn’t want to reveal that much. Worked beautifully for a winter formal event!

The top was stretchy, but fitted, and the bottom brocade was beautiful. Perfect for a winter event.

This dress was perfect for a fall wedding I attended.  I wore the dress's sister pattern for a wedding in the past and loved the weight of it for a chilly outdoor wedding in the fall.

I'm 5'2" and short waisted but this dress worked nicely. I ended up wearing a black lace cami under the top as the neckline was too revealing for me but it looked great - like it was part of the dress. Sleeves the right length, soft stretchy fabric on the top was so comfortable.  The hi/lo length worked out as it was short enough in the front that I didn't need real high heels (wore 2in heels) and didn't step on the skirt. Had to be more careful backing up though because the back of the skirt did reach the floor. Would wear again although would prefer the 10 instead of the 12 if can get it.

Photos don't do the green-gold color combo of the skirt justice, nor how it moved. I loved wearing this! Worn to a late October wedding, which turned out to be much warmer than expected, even in Massachusetts. Plenty of give in the top; my only gripe was that the V-neck was a little wider than expected and shifted on occasion to reveal the edges of even a plunge bra. The higher-seated waistline made it easy to wear all day and still be comfortable.

This was comfortable and warm for a fancy work event - got lots of compliments and felt glam. Would recommend wearing a shoe with a bit of height. Pockets! And lower cut. 

The waist is higher than I would have guessed from looking at the photos. I love how full the skirt is! The whole look felt elegant and fun. No need for any special undergarment, either!

I wore a size 4, pre-pregnancy I am 130#, 5'4" usually size small , jeans 6. I'm 17 weeks in this pic. I could have gone with a size 6 but it wasn't available. The size 4 fit well just slightly snug above my belly, not much stretch there. Still great for the 3 hours I wore it! Beautiful gown, thick material for a rooftop winter party. 

I added the gold belt to complete the look. 

Wore this to a December black tie optional wedding.  Very comfortable and lots of compliments 

Needed a skims type bodysuit so there was no bra lines. Perfect for a fall black tie wedding!

It has pockets! Very comfortable dress/material. My only complaint is it is slightly too low cut for a normal bra

Wore this to a black tie wedding. Perfect dress for a fall or winter wedding! I usually wear an 8 but felt more comfortable in the 6. I was concerned bc the neckline is very low but I didn’t even need to wear a bra. The top is a thicker scuba-like fabric that is very form fitting. Loved the high low hem ( the dress didn’t drag on the floor in the back) The pockets were a plus and the skirt fabric is a pretty gold/bronze metallic brocade. I added the narrow metallic bc I felt the waist need some definition. One of my best rentals! 

Enjoyed wearing the dress to two separate weddings. Was happy that I was able to get this dress in time for those two weddings. I danced all night. 

Got this as a back up for a wedding and ended up wearing it for Easter. I received compliments but it just wasn’t my fave. It fit well and looked good,  but maybe just not my style. And not quite an Easter dress I guess.

Wore to a fall semi-casual rehearsal dinner. LOVE the pockets-absolutely ADORABLE. Easy and comfortable to wear. Can wear a normal bra. SUPER flattering shape. Bottom material is high quality and heavy duty (does not wrinkle easily)- great for late fall or winter.

Wore this to a black-tie military banquet. It was so comfortable, which gave me so much confidence. It was classy, gorgeous, and I got a LOT of compliments. I loved the pockets, wore a regular bra, and could get in/out of it without any assistance.

Loved the pockets and coverage on this dress as it ended up being a chilly evening. I had recently lost 20 lbs and was excited to size down and show off. The dress is a bit of a tent and it was hard to tell that I’d lost weight at all. I probably won’t get this kind of dress style again but it was good enough.

I wore this to accept an award from work and it was excellent. The top part is stretchy, though the sleeves hit me at an awkward place. The skirt is lovely with its green color and golden embroidery. It’s very forgiving without looking like it’s trying to be. Pockets + many compliments
