Thicker material, but it was comfortable to wear! I'm tall but this dress was long enough to wear to a military event. 

Awesome dress for a night out.  Dress is tight but hugs in all the right places...no spanx required. I only had the option to get a small, and it worked. This is a great rental price for a Herve, would definitely rent again!

I rented this dress for a fancy charity dinner that I was invited to at the last minute. This was the only Herve dress left in my size so I snagged it. Boy am I glad I did! This dress gets solid reviews for a reason! It's very flattering, and there is no need to wear a bra with it. As other reviewers have mentioned, the light colored trim is NOT white. I wouldn't even call it ivory; it's really dark enough to be called taupe. I would say this dress runs a little on the small side -- I am a size 2 and I had to get my husband to help me into the size Small. There's no way an XS would have fit me.

Wore this to a club night out with a friend and had a blast! The dress was really comfortable, and I got lots of compliments. 

This dress runs long, but I actually found that to be be very flattering.  I'm very tall, and I likes where it hit me.  It is difficult to dance or go to the bathroom bc it's body conscious the whole way down. 

All in all, I loved it.  I felt it was sexy yet still classy. It was very flattering and I received so many complements. I also liked that it feels very secure on.  I didn't feel like I might accidentally flash someone, as I have in other Herve's.  

The dress is definitely a snug fit like all of the other reviews say but the material is comfortable. It held me in without having to wear any spanx. I am 5'4", 135 lbs, 34c and I ended up wearing the small. The medium fit really well but the deciding factor was the chest area and I just didn't fill out the medium well enough to hold it up. I don't think I can ever wear another dress besides a Herve leger to a formal event again- I am obsessed! By far the most comfortable, flattering, beautiful dresses out there!

definitely order a size up as the fit runs small but SO worth it!! 

It runs small, very tight fitting but comfortable at the same time. The dress forms your body well.

This dress was one of the most fantastic dresses that I have ever worn. I absolutely LOVED it and had a ton of compliments when wearing it! My only regret was having to return it! I sized up and was happy that I did. It was still tight as it should be but comfortable for sitting and had more of a chic look. 

I rented this at the Vegas RTR store for a night out. They only had the XS available, but it fit great. It was tight, which made me nervous because we would be going out for a big meal and then drinks, but I felt comfortable the entire night. I already rented 4 more dresses for other future events!

Couldn't believe how flattering it was! Not only did it look great, it was very easy to wear. One quick note: the dress is NOT black and white--it's a beige/cream color, which I loved. The dress is very easy tow wear: no need for spanx, I  did not even need a bra, which is quite impressive because I am a 36D++. I ordered a large and a medium and expected that they would be very snug--but they actually fit great. The medium had a tighter, more flattering, classic bandage-dress fit, but it compressed my chest in an awkward way, so I decided to go with the large. However, with a different neckline, I would do the medium for sure, since the large gap-ed/hung loosely at the waist. I felt very comfortable and had no issues maneuvering bathroom trips and I certainly did not have trouble eating dinner. Best of all, everything was firmly held in place, no issue with the dress riding-up or bra straps peeking out. I decided to dress a slightly edgy, casual look my pairing it with a leather blazer, high-heeled ankle boots, and black tights. However, I could have just as easily worn it with shoes that matched the stripe or black sky-high stilettos. Also, the dress is a perfect length for us taller women who are always fearful of too-short dresses. 

The dress was great and fit very well. I was very comfortable during the whole night.

I rented this dress for a photo shoot.  It fit perfectly.  The pictures were gorgeous!  

Beautiful, classy, sexy, interesting! Great dress, hugs all the right curves and evens out imperfections. I rented both the M and the L and had trouble zipping up the M. The L was still very fitted, but a bit more comfortable. Can absolutely be worn without bra/spanx, but I liked having the extra support of my undergarments. My husband wanted me to buy the dress the moment he saw me in it! Definitely a winner!

I really didn't know if the Herve Leger would fit at all.  On most of the pics of the models the dresses seem so short.  This one is definitely a little longer.  Most of the reviews were from people who are size 0 or 2.  I am a 8 and probably really a 10 in "designer" brands.  Needless to say I was very happy the dress fit and was so so flattering! I wore this to a bachelorette party and it is a great party dress.  I didn't  wear a bra with it and like other reviewers say, the dress really holds you in like spanx!

I wore this to a dance party and it was a perfect dress for the occasion. This dress really does magic on your figure. My husband and I love this dress so much we are thinking about buying one!

If only all my dresses could fit like this! Truly nothing less then expected from Herve.  Orginally  This was my backup dress, but as soon as I laid eyes on it was love at first sight!  This dress fit like a glove. (No need for spanx ) it was snug enough to hug every curve (in a good way) but comfortable enough to dance the entire night away. So many compliments on the dress and how it fit. i felt like a shinning star. this dress photographs white, but in person the it's a creme beige. Only downside was 
I didn't want to return it.

I absolutely loved this dress. I think it works well for curvy types (I have big hips and even bigger boobs), but it would probably look amazing on a smaller frame too because it accentuates whatever you DO have. The small wouldn't even close once it hit my rib cage (though I attribute most of that to my 34D boobs), but the Medium was perfect. If you're smaller chested, you probably don't even need a bra because its so tight, but I wore a strapless because I felt the tightness of the dress flattened me a little. The flattening effect is great for hips and stomach though! Everyone thinks the tightness of Herve Leger dresses is bad, but it really sucks you in. I didn't even wear spanx or anything under it. Everyone said the dress looked great and kept asking me where I got it. I would 100% order this dress again. Hell I'd even buy it if I could afford it.

I wore this dress to an art benefit in NYC.  I loved the cool black and white design and sculptural cut... it made me feel like a piece of modern art myself!  Herve Leger is very flattering, I felt like this dress did great things for my figure.  I received a million compliments on it that evening and on Instagram... most liked photo ever!

I received this dress in a XS & S.  The XS took a bit more effort to zip up, but kept my girls in place without a bra.  No need for spanx with the XS.  The S required a strapless bra, was a lot easier to zip up, and I wore spanx with it.  I bought some new butt boosting spanx, so I really wanted to wear them.  They weren't the ones with optional pads in them, as listed on the site, but they were still fabulous.  I went with the larger size because I wanted to wear the spanx, and there was the possibility of dancing.  I highly recommend this dress.  It's a hit with everyone, especially guys.

The dress is form-fitting, but not restrictive. I ended up wearing petals in lieu of a strapless bra and they worked perfect! Everyone loved my dress! This was my 1st time renting from RTR and I can honestly say the process is so convenient! I have told all my girlfriends about RTR. I will definately rent from here again!

The dress fit perfectly.  I was worried about my shoulder looking like a sausage (back fat hanging over the side w/o a shoulder strap).  I probably think i'm bigger than I am because there was none of that. When I first put the dress on, there appeared to be rippling where the fabric lifted from my leg. That all evened out a few minutes after having the dress on.  The material takes a minute or two to adjust to your body but it's def a body-con dress and does what it's supposed to. Everyone said I looked great. I wore them with black booties.

This dress is a perfect choice for just about any occasion. It was my first Herve Leger rental and it certainly lived up to the hype! The bandage style smoothed everything out and defined my curves. The dress is well constructed and was comfortable to dance in all night! I paired it with black patent leather Louboutins and the contrast of black & white with the pop of red got me compliments all night. The dress is so striking you only need minimal  hair/makeup/jewelry. I wore simple emerald drop earrings and natural makeup.

I wore it with Spanx for extra support and a Nu Bra adhesive bra (though you could wear any strapless bra). I normally wear an 8/Medium in dresses but had to wear the Large in this dress because the Medium was too tight. Definitely size up for your backup dress.

I wore this dress this weekend to a wedding in Long Island and I LOVED it. It was sexy but classy. I am tall (5'9) and it came to my knee and felt very secure and tight (this dress did not budge all night on the dance floor). I would totally recommend it.

I rented this dress for a cocktail party the evening before a wedding.  It was a stunning dress - I got so many compliments!  This is probably my favorite Herve dress that I had worn so far.  It did run a little smaller than other Herve dresses.  

The dress fits like a pair of spanx so it's a little snug, but makes you look great.  It makes you feel like a million bucks and is a dress that everyone will be talking about when you walk in a room.

This dress fit true to size and the colorblocking truly accentuated all the right curves.  I'm usually a 4 or 6 and the small was perfect.  Length was almost to the knee.  Tons of compliments and would definitiely rent again.

As with all the other Herve dresses I've rented this dress was amazing. The quality of the fabric is top notch and the style of this one leaves the other ladies jealous. 

Absolutely LOVED wearing this dress!  I wore it for New Years Eve and was really pleased with the end result.  I received many compliments -especially from my boyfriend!! I'm a size 4-6 top and a 6-8 bottom, I wore a VS bombshell strapless to help give me a bit more shape up top as the great elastic qualities of this dress did flatten me a little ;)  Will definitely rent this dress again!!

This dress is the complete package. It made me feel great, and I was told I looked great! I wore this to a formal New Year's Eve date. It was the perfect way to kick off a *very* exciting 2012 for me. I am sold on Herve Leger .  .  . do they make wedding dresses? :)

Wore this to a friend's birthday party and the dress was perfect. It was classic and elegant and I got compliments on it all night. I was worried about it being too low and not holding the girls in but it's almost impossible to wear a strapless bra with it and so I went without and it turned out great. The girls stayed up and inside and I was comfortable all night. 

This dress is tiggght!  Couldn't get it on without the help of my husband.  It definitely is form fitting, but once it is on, I found it to be perfect and very comfortable.  I would definitely rent a Herve Leger dress again.  The colors are more taupe and black.  I went with minimal jewelry since it didn't need much.  Great dress and I am so happy with my choice!  I am 5 feet tall and about 110lbs.

I love love this design! I think it's very unique, unfortunately, this is made for someone taller and curvier :(.

I'm 5'9, around 137 and fairly fit. I usually wear a 4 or 6 in designer brands. I got the small and it fit perfectly. This was a great dress for a wedding - very classy and elegant, but it stayed put for dancing and was comfortable to wear. Highly recommend!

The perfect dress. Fit like a glove. I got the S which ended up being a bit to big and wore the xs which was a bit tighter than I would have preferred but ended up working out great! I got tons of compliments and didn't have to worry about readjusting the dress at all during the night. Perfect for dancing. Would definitely rent again.

After reading the reviews saying this dress ran small, I was afraid the S was not going to fit. But the M would have been too big. It is form fitting but it true to size. Very thick material. Danced all night and was burning up, but great dress! Got tons of compliments!

Fabulous dress!  I ordered an XS and it fit just right.   Note, that my husband had to zip me up and it was a bit of a struggle! But, these dresses are not meant to be loose - they are meant to fit tightly to your body, which is exactly what the dress did once I got it on!  No complaints and would definitely recommend this dress.  I wore it to an NYC wedding and it was perfect!

This was not the dress I intended to wear to my cousins wedding but RTR was amazing and over nighted me this dress since my original dress was too large! I was a little nervous since sometimes tight dresses make me look short and wide but this dress was absolutely amazing! It was perfect length for a wedding and I felt absolutely awesome! Definitely a confidence booster!

Great dress, felt good in it and it is a very flattering design and shape.  The dress is TIGHT but that is how it is supposed to fit.  It does not look too tight or small because of the quality of material, it really sucks everything in like a corset.   Liked that it is longer (just above the knee) to offset how tight it is.  More appropriate for a wedding or formal event compared to a dress that is tight AND short. 

I rented this dress for a summer wedding. It's a little on the longer side for a Herve; went right to my knee. I liked that for this occasion since I knew a lot of church friends at this wedding. I wore this dress with some Kendra Scott earrings and "Rocker Chic" bangles by Priya Kakkar which gave it a little edgier look. Closed toe black pumps finished off everything. The dress is super tight like every Herve. This is good cause it sucks you in, but didn't limit me from dancing. The swirl detail made the back of this dress very Kim K; especially highlights the booty if that's something you're wanting to show off. This is a fantastic rental for the price. I would definitely recommend it for any hot date, night out, or not too fancy wedding. 

HL dresses are made of very high quality fabric that does "suck you in" a bit. The color was more beige than white, and it looked great with black or nude shoes. (I wore nude strappy heels). If you are self-conscious about any figure flaws, this is not for you. If you are not, you'll rock this dress and feel sexy, yet classy. 

This was my first RTR experience and it went smoothly. I ordered a small and medium. They both fit easily, but I felt more comfortable in the medium. The dress I wore was very worn. I noticed little holes in the seams. It was very comfortable to dance in it and after a few wines I didn't feel too bloated in it.  I probably would not order this style again, but would def rent another Herve Leger dress :)

This dress is very form fitting! I was nervous to order the small (4) but it fit like a glove! I have a smaller chest so that did help! But very easy to dance in, and just feel like the hottest person in the room!!! 

I felt fantastic in this dress!! I was worried it was going to ride up while dancing (as tight dresses tend to do) - but it was never a problem! Really sucks you in and makes you feel comfortable. I ordered a size up because I was worried of the heavy fabric being too tight - but stuck with my original Medium choice. Highly recommend!!

Everything stays in place.. I didn't have to be pulling my dress down all evening.. Not even after siting down!
It does bunch up a bit in the side with the zipper but I'm told it wasn't noticeable and didn't take anything away from the dress.

This dress was so comfortable and easy to dress up for a formal wedding. The 'RTR' process was painless and easy; will defiantly recommend both this dress and this site! 

The dress hugged in all the right places, I just wish it was a little shorter, and came above the knee. I'm 5'7", but the dress length was coming to mid knee, which was not too faltering, I had to fold it in and readjust it throughout the night

Dress fit like a glove and stayed that way the whole night, no adjustments needed. Erred on the tight side -- had a hard time getting into the xs but there were no smalls available for rent. Very impressed by the two day shipping turnaround from my order to receiving the dress. To note: the white outline is a little more ivory than pure white. 

The fit was pretty tight but that's what I wanted.  Even though this is not the original dress I ordered, I did enjoy wearing it:)

This dress fits really snug. It is a form fitting dress. You will need to have someone else zip this dress up for you. Take someone with you when you go the ladies room.
