I wore this to a formal awards ceremony my work was hosting, where I knew I would be running around the venue the entire day (both inside AND outside, where it was 9 degrees that day), and this dress worked out perfectly. The material is ribbed and fairly thick, but stretchy, so it kept me warm without restricting my movements. The cutout in the back at the bottom of the dress is chic without being too sexy. It was pretty tight though – particularly across my hips. I wore spanx, which helped, but I recommend sizing up if you have large hips. 

This is the perfect little black dress! The fabric was a little thick so I would recommend this for a winter or indoor event. The extra detailing such as the leather trim and the slit in the back are what makes the dress! I typically wear a 4/6 and decided to go with the size 4 and it fit perfectly! It was a little snug in the hips so I would recommend that curvier women size up! You can absolutely wear a regular bra with this dress which is a plus for many women however because of the thick fabric I was able to go braless! You can wear this dress to work, a more formal event, or for a night on the town! Simple classy dress for any occasion! 

Amazing knit dress. Runs large. Is lined so it's not like the stretchy knit hangs on every lump. Which is great! Exposed zipper also a plus. Wore it to work and received tons of compliments which is u usual for a "little black dress". 

It runs large and I am renting the size 6... overall, other than the fact that it runs large, the dress is beautiful, comfortable and court appropriate.  

Edited: I rented size 6 and it still runs large - it's meant for someone taller - I am 5'4 and it fell below the knee and looked too long.  Still a great dress but more appropriate for someone tall.

I love this dress! It's beautiful and the material is a heavy but comfortable weight. Only downside is the weird zipper in the back. It bunches up and makes a weird hunch back....had to wear my hair down. I gave 4 instead of 5 stars because of this.

Wore this for a work presentation with a jacket over it and then to a cocktail hour afterwards without the dress.  Great fit!

Better suited for a tall, straight figure.

Dress is incredibly tight around regular size 2 hips. And the whole thing felt oddly padded. When you sit, the dress bunches oddly in the front. Didn't end up wearing the dress. It made me feel frumpy.

This was a backup dress and it didn't fit over my hips.  I'm a size zero, but tend to have a bit of a pear shape. The dress itself didn't have much shape to it.  I'm glad it was my 2nd pick.  The dress I wore was the best!

The leather trim, exposed zipper and asymmetrical vent in the back was edgy. The material was stretchy and the seams were flattering. I would have liked it slightly shorter but overall sexy. BUT every part fit great except the back at the shoulders was too bunchy/puffy and I looked like a hunchback. A little tailoring at the neck would have made it perfect, but i had to send it back without wearing it. 

This dress was cut in a way that did not flatter the 'perfect' figure it was supposedly designed for—nothing like the fine Helmut Lang dresses I have owned in the past.  I have a blessedly small waist, and fortunate hips, but the bulky fabric offered no compliment to these assets—did not hug anywhere, but rather hung. Fabric was bunchy/baggy; I had expected (and was told it would be) more like neoprene. Total disappointment. Did not wear.

The wearer will need to ensure that they wear spanex.  My daughters, my sister and me all wore this dress in the four days.  It looked great on 4 different body types.  My daughters wore it with over-the-knee boots and shorty boots.  My sister and I wore it with kitten heels and high pumps.  Great LBD.  

I wore this on my first day of work at a new job. It was comfortable, professional, and is great for pairing with eye-popping accessories.

I am sitting at work and struggling with this dress. It's beautiful and well made, but as others said, it's hard to wear. The slip and dress want to do two different things and I feel that is why people are experiencing the pucker effect. It's great if you don't have to move around a lot but I've found that ever time I walk around the office, I'm trying to straighten out the dress and it's disappointing. 

The dress was perfect for an intimate and relaxed outdoor wedding. The fabric is thick, but not heavy at all. I loved the length. It fit me exactly as on the model. I decided to wear the dress with an embellished belt to add some shape and texture because otherwise, I thought I looked too flat (that's the reason I gave it 4 stars,) but the belt added a nice touch and once on, I loved the whole look. I wore an XS and it fit me like a glove with some room to stretch. Overall, I am pretty happy with this rental.

I wanted to love this dress, but while the hips fit well it was too large through the waist and did not flatter the figure as it likely meant to. I am rather petite, so this may work well on others with curvier figures and/or who are taller. Sadly, I had to put it right back in the bag and return it.

The style of the dress was just as advertized and had great appeal in the back. However, the dress was very stretched out and had several visible snags.  Prior to renting, I combed the website and read all the reviews and was hesitant to take the leap. I must say the process was AH-MAZINGLY simple and easy. I'm willing to give RTR another shot, but just a tip (not certain if this is currently part of the process) ... Dresses like the one I received should be removed from inventory to keep the garment "fresh" for the next renter.
