This was a backup choice and wore this dress to a black tie awards banquet in 80 degree weather, and it was perfect! Fabric was nice and skirt was heavy enough that i didn't have to worry about wind blowing it up. I'm 5'2", and it hit right at the knee -- I didn't wear a bra and everything stayed in place! Very classy. The waist gave a little breathing room -- not in a stretchy way though -- more like I felt snug all night. Would recommend for fancy summer event!

Loved the material on this dress, really wanted to wear it but you definately need some CURVES to fill this out! The top was so big that there was no was I could have pulled off wearing this. I am a 34B and I feel like this dress would have fit really well on someone with a D chest. There was also significantly more fabric in the hips than I expected which I am sure is great for some folks but made me look like I was wearing a bell. I really loved this dress in other people's pictures and on the hanger but it definately was meant for a different body type

This was a last minute order for a gala, and I was so happy with the entire process! Ordered on Tuesday for a Thursday delivery, it showed up on time and in great shape. Unfortunately because I ordered so last minute I couldn't do a back up size, so the 4 was a bit big on me in the waist. A 2 would have fit better but the 4 worked for being so last minute! Fabric is thick, I didn't even have to wear a bra (I am small chested) great dress, beautiful fabric!

I rented this for a fall wedding where they asked us to wear blue. The material of the dress was very luxe - substantial enough to give it great shape, and soft enough to be breathable and comfortable. The blue accents were beautiful! I'm a size 0 normally, and the 0 fit me perfectly. The bodice was snug, but not uncomfortably tight. Overall this was a very flattering dress. I loved the full skirt and the deep V was flattering for my small chest. Husband loved it too!!! 

I am 5'4 & 123lbs and I wore the size 4.  It was very comfortable and flattering.  It is low cut in the front, but I am a C Cup and felt like it fit great!  It was the perfect dress for a night out to the ballet with my girls.  I wish that I always had this dress in my closet.  

I was wearing this dress to a friend's wedding. I'm a mom with my toddler girl and I was feeling very comfortable all night not having to worry how I look or if the dress is showing too much. Love this dress 

Great dress, just ran a little big. I'm normally a 4 and that's why I wore because the backup size wasn't available. It worked out well - wasn't able to wear a bra (or stickies) bc of how low cut it was, but that wasn't a big deal. 

Got this as a back up dress, and didn't end up needing it.  The fabric is beautiful - black background with navy and silver.  It is thicker, and does not have much give.  I opted for a size 4 after reading the reviews, but this was definitely too large on me.  A 2 would have suited, and a 0 may have fit as well.  The 4 was large in both the bust and the waist for me.  A padded bra made the bust area better, but the waist gaped.  The dress would have been fine, but the other one I ordered was just better overall.

I've had this dress in my favorites for a couple of years now and finally had the chance to rent it! Truth be told, the dress is starting to show a lot of wear, but you can't tell from afar. I'm 5'5", 143lbs, 28" waist, and 32D bust. I could squeeze into a 2, but it was uncomfortable and I needed assistance with the zipper. The 4 fit comfortably. It was tight on my chest, so if your breast are any larger, it might be a tight squeeze. I had no problem wearing a regular bra, which is a bonus. All in all, it's a great dress and I got lots of compliments.

The print is so beautiful in person, but unfortunately photos don't do it justice. The wider straps allow you to wear a standard bra and the material has a nice weight to it which makes it perfect for dancing. Would highly recommend for an event. 

I really enjoyed this dress for the wedding. It was fun to dance in. With it being a lined dress I kept warm during the wedding which ended up with 6" of snow. My only problem with the dress was the bust for someone who is well endowed, even with my normal size being aan 8, it was a tight fit and the girls looked quite voluptuous!

It has a plunging neckline, but the style of the dress was still classic and elegant. I felt like I could get away with the risqué neckline because the dress hit below the knee and was not form fitting. I didn't want to send it back!

The material was thicker than I had anticipated which worked great. I felt like it held me in nicely and I was still able to dance and  move freely. This was my first RTR experience but I will definitely be back. The dress fit great and I had numerous compliments. 

The dress was beautiful and super comfortable. I got tons of compliments all night long. It is low cut, so if you are busty, expect to have some cleavage. I have an athletic build, so things tend to run tight through the chest/back because of my lats. I ordered it fit in the rib cage and hips but was too tight on the bust (even though I don't have a chest). The 4 fit a little roomier through the rib cage, but I was thankful for that once I had seconds for dinner :)
Overall it was a beautiful dress with a nice sheen. Photographs really well. I even tried to rent the dress again this weekend for another wedding but it wasn't available. Would totally rent this dress again. 

The zipper on this was a little tough and my boobs were definitely on display. Loved the dress but would say that it is probably better fit for someone with less large boobs. Overall another great RTR experience. 

The dress was really comfortable and flattering. Got tons of compliments, but the edges of the dress were fraying. Clearly it had been worn and washed quite a few times, only reason I didn't give the dress a 5.

Great quality fabric with beautiful pattern and colors. Fit very well ( a little snug in the ribcage for me personally but I powered through). Low neckline left space for a big statement necklace. Perfect style for a wedding!

I am 155 pounds, 36D, 5'2" and normally wear size 12. This dress is fitted at the waist and the     5 pounds I gained after reserving the dress made the fit a little tight. Also, size up if you are busty. There was a lot of cleavage. I probably could have gone up to size 14. But the colors are beautiful and the material, while brocade-like, was not too heavy. As to a bra, I wore a standard bra and ended up pinning it so it would not show. I suggest a strapless one instead.

Really beautiful dress. More formal in person and very low cut so if you have a chest bigger than a B cup, be comfortable with showing it off. Not for a luncheon as I originally planned but worked well for a formal. 

The dress was really form fitting. I'm usually a 6 but I wore the 8 because it is narrow on the chest and back area. Very nice for a wedding. 

I loved this dress! It was very flattering for my small waist and bigger hips. The fabric is thick like upholstery fabric and moves nicely. The bodice is tight and has no stretch. I have pretty small boobs and the 2 was quite snug when I was sitting down. 

The dress fit well - just a little tight at the waist, but fine with shapewear underneath. The neckline is quite low cut, which was fine for me, but might require a camisole from anyone who isn't comfortable with that.

I'm a bigger chested straight and narrow and don't usually wear fit and flair. But this dress was cute and fun and comfortable. The magic of this dress is that the top part is tight to the belly button. So if you like to accentuate your chest and upper waist, this is a great dress for you. The bottom half is very poofy and I was joking all night that "baby got back". Very funny. 

Halston Heritage dresses in general are dependable and beautiful and run true to size.

The dress came as expected, fits true to size, I could tell it had been worn a few times but I think that made it softer. I don't think anyone else could tell it's use. I wore it to a wedding that ended up being in a tent ... in December. The dress was very easy to accessorize so last minute black tights and black sweater worked out perfectly. Make sure to wear a dark bra because I feel like people could see my bra at my cleavage occasionally and from certain angles. 
I received many compliments and was comfortable all night! 

Fit is very true to size. When I pulled it out of the bag, I was a little worried about the plunging neck line, but it wasn't too crazy at all! I felt very confident wearing it and it was a great dress to dance in!

I got a ton of compliments on this dress! It had great flow and even twirled when I spun on the dance floor. The blue and silver in the dress are very bright at certain angles, which doesn't show in the photo. Beautiful dress!

This was my backup dress which i ended up wearing. Husband voted for this one. Colors were brighter than I expected - blue and silver were quite pretty. I wore it with black shoes (switched to silver ballet flats later), black necklace, and black scarf. Fit was good and true to size. A bit low cut on me, but not overly so. 
Only thing I didn't like was the fabric at the hem. It was either worn or just didn't lay nicely or look or feel smooth. My friends and husband liked it - so thumbs up. 

The dress fit was fantastic, and very flattering for an hourglass figure. I would recommend wearing a strapless bra it pinning the straps to the dress because I struggled to keep my bra straps hidden under the dress straps all night.

This dress is gorgeous!  It was originally my 2nd choice but my 1st was unavailable for the dates I needed.  I'm beyond thrilled to have rented this one!  The material is luxurious, extremely soft and thick, and the blue tones are more vibrant than the picture on the website shows.  I wore a size 4 and the bodice was a bit tight, especially around the ribs, but not uncomfortably so.  Unfortunately there wasn't a 6 available to try as my backup size, but I think it would've been too large.  The neckline was cut lower than I expected but I wasn't worried about falling out or being too risqué for a wedding.  The weather was on the cool side, in the low 50's but I stayed warm with this material!  I paired it with a lapis lazuli necklace and navy blue Badgley Mishka peep toe pumps and felt like a million bucks!   I would rent this again without question and didn't want to sent it back!

EVERYONE like the way the dress fit me, the dress was a little low cut, but I fixed it with a silk dickey.

Pros: This dress was beautiful and I felt beautifully in it. I loved the brocade and color combination. From far a way it looked gorgeous and I was in love with the fit and flare! Made it super fun to dance in at the reception. 

Cons: Sizing wasn't perfect.... I am between a size 8 and 10. the size 10 fit comfortably through the upper body and bust, however the skirt and hips were too big. The size 8 while a little snug through the upper body fit much better and I opted for that since it was just a few hours. It was a little low cut though... Much more than it looks ok the picture, so I wore a jacket over it for the ceremony that was held in a church. Up close you could see some wearing and pulls in the brocade of the dress even some repaired stitching in the lining of the skirt. 

Don't get me wrong though... I loved this dress and will definitely be renting again! 

I was extremely happy with my Rent the Runway experience.  I usually wear a size 6 but got an 8 just in case-I'm glad I did.  This dress was snug in the upper region which made it great for good cleavage but it would have been too tight if I wore the smaller size.  The skirt was fantastic for dancing and twirling.  I received many complements throughout the evening and felt beautiful.

Loved this dress! I wore it to a September wedding. The fit was just right: comfortable tank-style top (regular bra!) and a-line cut that allowed for lots of dancing. I will definitely keep this on the list to rent again! 

Loved this dress. Wore it to a late spring wedding, for which I was asked to wear navy, black, silver, or a combination of. This dress was the perfect choice. It fit like a glove with a flattering shape, and easily accommodated my larger sized chest. The cut is extremely timeless and classy and the shape flattering. Color is more vibrant than I thought, but I was not disappointed. Would definitely rent again!
