I wore this for the USMC birthday ball and did not want to take it off! I got tons of compliments and it was relatively comfortable for a gown. I'm 5ft 2 and the petite was a good length for me with a 3 in heel (not too long). It didn't come with a belt, but I preferred it without one so it didn't matter much to me 

I ordered this dress for senior prom, and it was perfect. The bold red color made me feel old-school glam, and I received many compliments throughout the night. This was my second RTR order, and the first dress I got was by the same designer so I knew it would be a good fit. Great flowy skirt, and the neckline is very flattering. I would definitely order again. Thanks, RTR! 

Loved this dress! The color is beautiful.  I wore it to a black tie event and it was a great choice.  Only con is that it is very long. Wear your highest heels!  Overall, extremely happy with the dress and RTR!

I ordered this dress after being invited to the Governor's Ball last minute. I have never rented before but liked the idea of not paying as much but still getting a nice dress and now I recommend this site to everyone and use it any time I have a formal event. This dress fit perfectly, came on time, was super easy to send back. They even sent me some boob tape and other small things to make sure everything stayed where is was supposed to. The dress wasn't too tight, didn't rub wrong anywhere. At 5'6" the 4R was exactly floor length so I wore flats and it touched the floor the way I wanted it to. The red was perfect-not too bright or too deep. I loved this dress! 

I wore this dress to a winter wedding. Since it was so close to Christmas, I thought wearing a festive red dress would be fitting :) I loved the color and overall look of the dress. It was a little long for my 5'1" frame but I made it work with 3-1/2" heels (still dragged on the floor just a littleeee bit). But other than that it fit well. Also, loved that it came with the belt! I read in another review that the belt didn't come with it so it was a pleasant surprise when I got it in the package. Definitely recommend this dress for any formal event!

Beautiful dress for a black-tie ball. True, pure cherry red with pretty folds at the bodice. 

Did not come with the black strap pictured on the model, but think it looked better without it.

This was a same-day in store rental, so I only had one size to choose from, but was pleased to find that sizes run large and I was able to fit into a size 2R. I'm 5' 8" and around 135 lbs. and the dress zipped perfectly and was only a bit tight in the chest (though most of my weight in my hips, which the dress draped over, so if you have a different build I would consider another size). My only complaint about the size is that the dress is very long--I'm tall for a woman and was wearing 3" heels and the dress still dragged on the floor.

As for the looks--the dress was beautiful and got many warm compliments throughout the night for how beautiful it was and how striking the color was, especially against a sea of black gowns. (It also a number of people pointing at it from across the room, which I hope were compliments!). I will say it looks about the price it sells for, it doesn't have the elegance of some beautifully made designer dresses, but for how inexpensive the rental is I would recommend it. It wears and photographs beautifully.

The fit was perfect! I'm 5'3 so I ordered a 2P because previously I had rented the same dress for a different event in a 2R and it was too long but I didn't end up wearing it. So this time around I rented the petite version and it was perfect . I wore 4.5 in heels and the dress skimmed the floor. My husband loved it on me and I received many compliments. It is ver comfortable, it's fitted on the bust and flowy on the skirt. Easy to dance, sit and walk in.  Also, I opted to wear a gold belt to add more of a pop to an otherwise simple but pretty dress. However they did include 2 different sized black ribbon belts and orbitz gum!;)

It was a great dress.  Petite was perfect for my height.  Wore with a couple inch heels, had to hold to go up stairs but not for walking.  The top edge did flip down a little bit once in awhile but not noticeably.

The color is deeper in person than it looks online, which was a pleasant surprise for me! I wore it to a gala and was very comfortable the whole night in it! Would rent this dress again! I wore really low heels but it would have been a little too short if I had worn anything higher. 

I ordered both the 2p and the 4p of this dress.  Both came without the black belt and I was very disappointed.  However, I still planned to wear the dress.  Unfortunately, the 2p, which fit perfectly,  had a replacement zipper that was broken.  I ended up wearing the 4p, without the belt and  even though is was a little big around the bust and too long.  I had intended to wear without a bra, but wore a strapless bra and that helped snug it up enough so that I was comfortable.   One big issue was the length.  I was told by a stylist that, at 5'2", I could wear my 3 inch heals with this dress.  It was still a bit too long and I had to constantly be careful not to trip on the hem or tear it.   Despite all of the issues, the dress is beautiful.


I loved the color of this dress.  I wore 8 petite and it was a great length.  I'm 5'0" and wore 4 inch heels, the dress just about skimmed the floor.  I'm a 34D and wore this bra-less.  The top held everything in, although I felt like it would be much better for smaller chest sizes.

I have a small waist and a large bust so I had to go a size up from normal, but it was perfect for the night. It was incredibly comfortable and I didn't have to tug on it too much. It was perfect that I ordered two sizes and it came the next day after I ordered it. I wish I could buy this dress now. It was amazing.

I wore it to a Dia de los Muertos masquerade ball and this dress matched perfectly with my headpiece, that I couldn't have planned it better!  The dress was true to size, but it was a little tight on the upper bust that I had to wear it without a bra.  Not sure what an 8 would have been like, but since this was a backup sent; I only had one size available.  By the end of the night, the sides of the upper dress were digging into my skin, but the rest of the dress of great.  

The dress on the RTR shows it with a black belt, but when I received the dress, it didn't come with it.  I was able to use one of mine as shown in picture. 

PS. I also rented the necklace in the picture as one of the pieces they had originally recommended. 

Such a great dress. I am usually a 4 in dresses, but I ended up with the 6 because the dress is quite tight around the rib cage. Even so, it is very comfortable, easy to sit in, and has just the right amount of flowiness (as in, it looks amazing when you move around and dance, but it is not getting stepped on by other people like many of the other long dresses were).

Worn to a heart ball on Valentine's Day, and it was the perfect color. The fit was awesome, and length was great. 

The 6 fit fine, but the 8 was more comfortable on my hips. That fit was perfect. I did not need a strapless bra and felt very secure all night. It was so comfortable and so easy to dance in the dress. I would highly recommend this dress as a rental. 

I needed a red dress for a black tie event and this dress worked perfectly. I at first felt like a bridesmaid with the cut and the fabric, but I received a lot of compliments. I didn't love the way it made my hips look, but it was comfortable to wear.

Received many compliments - great fit and perfect length with short wedges.

Fit true to size, waist zipper is tight over the seam. I didn't wear the black belt that comes with the dress because liked the plain red alone. Recorded so many compliments

Wore this for my junior prom and it was great! I'm 5'4'' and wore 4 inch heels and it was the perfect length! May need to be worn with a strapless bra. 

The dress was slightly too long, but I'm 5'0 tall so I was expecting that issue. It was really beautiful and I received comments all night. 

I'm 5"8 and the 8L was the perfect length if you don't wear heels

It was wayyyy too long for me, which I expected because I am only 5' 2" and pretty much everything is too long for me. Thankfully my heels were ridiculously tall and it worked out. The bust was also a little big and I had to pull the dress up throughout the night, but again, expected because I am only 32A. 
Overall happy with this dress! Received tons of compliments and loved the color and simplicity of the dress. 

It was a little long for me personally. I wore average sized heels though, so a taller heel could've been better.

This was my back up dress and thank goodness I took advantage of ordering the 2nd one because the first one did not fit at all.  I loved everything about this dress.  There was no need to wear a bra because of the built in corset which was nice because then I didn't have to fight with a bra falling down the whole night.  Could be worn without the belt.   My only complaint was that the clasp loop at the top was broken off.  I happen to have the exact color thread and stitched a new loop at the top.  This could be a problem though for someone who is not crafty or does not have thread available since that hook helps keep the zipper closed and also tightens the top of the dress another 1/4 of an inch.  I will absolutely be ordering again!!

From the minute I put it on I loved how it looked and felt and how I looked in it! I received so many compliments from people telling me that I looked great!! It was definitely a very flattering dress and so comfortable to wear.  The fit was definitely true to size and I had no issues with it slipping down at the bust and having to pick it up.  I'm 5'3" so the "R" length was absolutely perfect, and wasn't too long even when I took my heels off.  I would definitely rent this dress again! 

The dress has no give at all. My boobs were suffocating all night. 
I did get complimented a ton, though, because it looked stunning. 
I wore 6 inch heals and it was still ever so slightly long.

I ordered this dress as a back up, my mistake that i ordered it too big :( I ordered the 10R but probably would have done better with an 8 or 6.
However, I tried on the dress and it was so soft, flowy and beautiful. The material felt rich and looked gorgeous. The color of the dress was perfect, it was not too bright or dark.
It is definitely a dress to try.

I wore this dress for a black tie wedding, but I did put my own sparkly belt with it, as the belt that comes with it is quite plain and not stretchy so I was afraid it would come undone while dancing / sitting.  The dress is quite fitted in the ribcage/bust so if you are wide in that area, order up a size ( I normally wear an 8-10).  Very flowy on the bottom so any shape can fit without problem.  I'm 5'4" and the length was perfect, with 4 in heels.  So may be too long if you don't plan on wearing high heels.  Overall I got a lot of compliments, and it worked well for a holiday themed wedding.

This dress was a little snug, particularly around the waist, but that was good since it was strapless and it made me feel more secure in the fit. The length was perfect with standard heels, though, when you kick them off to dance you'll have to hold onto the end of your dress to avoid tripping. This is a very simple, elegant dress that I would highly recommend to anyone.

This dress fit snug around the chest and I did not have to constantly pull it up like many strapless dresses. The belt helped to accentuate the waist and the fabric was very flowy away from the body to help hide any hip imperfections :)

I wore this prom, and it fit amazingly! I was worried about it falling down around the bust, but I had no problems with it. It was a perfect length for me, as I'm really tall, and I had no trouble dancing in it.

I am 5'5', weigh about 125 lbs and typically wear between a 2 and 4 in dress size. I ordered both the 2R and 4R since RTR sends a back-up dress at no additional cost. I ended up wearing the 4R because the bust was a little tight on the 2R and I wanted to wear a strapless bra, although you definitely don't need a bra with this dress. I wore 4 inch heels and the regular length was perfect. The dress just barely skimmed the floor. I chose not to wear the black sash that comes with the dress, but decided on pearl jewelry instead. As for delivery, the dress was right on time. The dress was guaranteed by 8pm and I received it around 4pm. I received compliments all night long and will definitely choose RTR for future events. 

I tried to write this review back in April but for some reason it didn't post and so here I am in December finally finishing it. It was so long ago that I almost don't remember much, but I do know that this was a pretty gown, although I ended up wearing the red Monique Lhuillier ML Ball Gown. I know that this dress did not come with the black waist belt that is pictured on the model. I also know that the top felt a tad loose on my pear shaped frame. The bottom was also not very flowy so when I walked the dress would stop and tighten around my ankles sometimes. It was a nice dress but it did not have the wow factor I was looking for in my prom gown.

I went to the Marine Ball where I wore this gown. I received so many compliments and felt gorgeous! My date loved the dress!
