VERY fitted through the thighs. But cute and classy!

This dress was beautiful and the fabric feel was amazing, BUT SNUG so beware! My 34DD chest fit amazingly in it, no issues there. However, my build is "athletic" and my lower curves were pretty well smushed all night. The fabric has very little give on the bottom half so if you're self conscious of lower belly or have some serious thighs/butt (guilty), beware.  I would most definately wear this dress again but not for a night where dancing is going to happen; no getting low in this dress (or really bending over at all for that matter).  Overall tho, I LOVED the dress and probably would have been happiest in one more size up to avoid too much clinging. (I'm usually a 6, wore an 8, would recommend a 10 for my curves)

I didn't get to wear this dress as I rented two dresses and felt the other style I rented was a better fit for the event. 
The dress is tight so it's sexy, but longer and fully covered up top and a nice length so it's balanced. I will rent this again to wear to an event. It's snug, but lined so it doesn't show lumps/bumps. 

Fit perfectly and got so many compliments. 

Love everything about this dress -- the color, fit, neckline are all super elegant! I felt incredibly chic. Only note, it's definitely runs small. I usually wear a 4 and sometimes a 6, but the 8 fit like a glove. 

This dress is super chic and classy.  It runs small and tight: I am usually a 6-8, but the 10 fit like a glove.  It has enough give, though, that I was able to bust out most of my most aggressive dance moves (my biggest concern). Shape-defining isn't usually what I go for, but with the right spanx, this dress was flattering and I'm glad I took the chance on it.  Great color for an oceanside wedding.

This color was amazing for a fall Colorado wedding! I'm a huge Elizabeth and James fan, but definitely read the reviews carefully because their stuff always runs small on me. I am hourglass and I wore the back up size due to my hips and the 6 was pulling to much. I wore spanx as well, which was helpful after the sunset - summer wedding this would have been too much! I got many compliments and felt super sexy and classy at the same time. 

Worn to a wedding, was comfortable and I loved the color, material and length. I was sort of in between sizes, the 4 was just a little too snug but the 6 which I ended up wearing was a little big in the top. Got lots of compliments, will definitely be using RTR again based on this experience! 

Everything about this dress is wonderful. I am on the shorter side the length is a little long, luckily there is a slit in the back of the dress that helps with walking. The material completely holds you in and is vey flattering. I was worried about the neckline of the dress but it didn't cause the awkward underarm bulging. I received so many compliments and felt so beautiful in would absolutely rent this again. 

The fit and the color were both so Stunning. It does run really slim through the waist area.  Would def buy this dress.  

The dress fits snug, so if you like to cut a rug on the dance floor, I would recommend another dress. But it is a very flattering cut and I would definitely rent it again!

Dress is fitted and very comfortable. Felt like built in spanx. Runs true to small for size. So many compliments all night. Color is great for formal occasion. I wore a 6, 8 probably would have worked too... 4 would have been way too tight!

I like the dress but it was almost too big, the smaller one was just a little too tight.  The color was really nicebut this cut wasnt the best for me as i have a larger chest and i didnt feel as thin in it. 

The dress fabric is very comfortable and has some give. I have a curvy figure so I opted to go up a size and was happy with the fit.  If you need alot of give for walking or dancing this may not be the best dress for you.  It was a perfect dress for family evening at the theater.

This dress is perfect in every way!  I am pear shaped, and I love a good dress that accentuates my narrow shoulders and waist, but I usally have trouble finding a dress that also fits well in the hips. This dress does BOTH!  Not to mention, the process was super simple for a first time renter like myself. 

I will continue to order RTR for future events! 

This dress was perfect for a winter wedding. The stock photo appears to be baby blue, but the hue is a grayish, deep teal. Thick material to warrant a strapless bra, stickies or nothing at all! The dress is basically insta-spanx- it was awesome! 5'5 and hit just below the knee. I actually started the cocktail hour off wearing the 2, but it was prettyyyyy tight in the abdomen and thighs so I actually changed into the size 4 for the reception for dancing (I'm small chested so the 2 fit me better on top but hey, gotta make sacrifices). Size up 1 just in case!

Absolutely loved this dress... it is definitely on the tighter side but I still ordered and wore my usual size (6). So- I wouldn't stress over worrying if it runs too small- order your usual size with a (free) backup one size larger to be safe. Just so this picture is helpful, I am 5'9, 145 lbs.  Loved the style and color of this dress and got so many compliments! 

Runs small, but like most of the reviews say, hugs your curves in all the right places. Prepare to have your thighs squished together, but thankfully the dress stretched out a bit the longer I wore it.

Beautiful dress and great quality! This dress was very form fitting but not uncomfortable! What was mentioned that I also noticed was how fitted it was towards the bottom. There was not as much give in the material while walking, so smaller strides were necessary. Overall though, I was very happy with this dress! 

It is a very pretty dress that will slim you down, but it does run very small, at least 2-3 sizes small and the legs are tight, you can't take wide strides. For comparison, I am normally a size 8 and the size 10 JUST fit. I was scared I was going to rip it a few times but it did stretch a little after I wore it for a bit. And I loved the way it looked.

This is my second time renting this dress because it's my favorite! The color is stunning and the fit hugs the curves just right! Seriously an eye catcher. 

This dress is really pretty, but it runs small!  I had to take tiny steps, due to the narrowness of the cut, and  it felt a bit uncomfortable.  The color is wonderful though.  It is a really beautiful dress.

I absolutely loved the unique color of this dress, but it was a little darker than the model photos show. However, as the rest of the reviews say, it runs very small and you'll definitely want to order a size up. The fabric is thick enough to be flattering overall, but I did decide to wear a bra with it. Because the dress is below the knee, it was hard to walk/dance in at first, but the fabric stretched throughout the night so it wasn't a deal breaker. Overall, I loved this dress and would definitely recommend it as long as you're prepared to show every curve.

If you're looking for a dress that you'll feel amazing in look no further. This dress ran small. I normally wear a 2 but opted for the 4. The two fit perfectly on my upper body, however it was very tight on the legs making it hard to move/ dance. With the 4 I was able to dance and feel comfortable throughout the night. The color is beautiful and the cut of this dress is sexy yet classy. Would rent again! 

I am usually I size 2, but I wore a 4, and it fit perfectly!  Easy to dance in and walk around and the material is thick and hugs in all the right places.  I liked how it was form fitting but long, it was below the knee and I'm 5'3.  Very classy!  I would rent this again or even consider buying!

Amazing dress for a summer wedding. The only complaint I had was that it is very tight around the calves, so dancing was limited. I am 5'6, so it was longer on me then the model. Otherwise loved everything about it. Fun, classy, got compliments all night. 

Fits true to size. A little longer in length and coverage on the top but still felt sexy with a little slit in the back and form-fitted. I got lots of compliments. Easy to dance in. Could've dressed up or down I loved it. 

This was my first Elizabeth & James rental, and this dress was actually my replacement dress. I originally ordered the E & J Haut dress in a 2 and 4. When they arrived, the 4 was a bit snug for my liking so I contacted RTR and they overnighted me this dress - I loved it even more than my original choice! Very flattering color, length and fabric. Received many compliments throughout the night. It gaped a tiny bit in the bust but not enough that it was noticeable. As many other reviewers have stated, E & J dresses definitely run small. I am typically a size 0 or 2 in most dresses and will order a 4 and 6 in E & J from now on. In this style the 6 was perfect for spending the evening on the dance floor, fitted but didn't feel tight at all. Wish I owned this dress!

I love Elizabeth and James and this dress did not Disappoint. Beautiful form fitting dress that can be dressed up or down. Length is perfect and the color was so pretty. Got compliments all night. As usual it runs small. I had to go with a 2 which is on the tighter side but the 4 was baggy in the middle for me. Great dress, will rent again! 

This is one of the most beautiful dresses I've ever worn.  It is a rich color and the material is very flattering and comfortable. It does run very small-- I went two sizes up. But overall, I would rent this dress over and over. 

Stop reading and rent this dress! To be honest, I was nervous because it is very form fitting and I still am holding onto some extra baby weight, but this dress sucks you in and compliments your curves! No need for Spanx (which are my bff) or a bra. The color is beautiful and I received endless compliments. I ended up wearing the 8 because the 10 was too big on the top. Best rental so far! 

I loved this dress! It is form fitting, but incredibly flattering. I'm usually between a 6 and 8 in dresses, and ordered the 8 and 10 as a back up (I wore the 8). The fabric is thick and the dress is lined, so not being able to wear a bra was fine. I did opt for the silicone petal tops - worth it! 

This wasn't my favorite rental. It looked beautiful on and in pictures but there was no give with the fabric and the bottom of the dress was narrow so it was difficult to walk, let alone dance. The fit of the dress was fine. I usually wear a 0/2 and rented the 2 based on other reviews. I'm 5'6," 125lbs.
