This dress was perfect for a casual date night on a Saturday night. It was a simple, but flirty little black dress. I loved it! 

Fit true to size but is pretty short. I definitely couldn't bend over the slightest bit. However it is so flattering! I felt great in it and got lots of compliments. I'd totally keep it if I had more reasons to wear it. 

Very nice dress I wore for costume party which completed my entire Amy Winehouse look. 

The fit on this cute dress is very snug around the rib cage. I would have worn the size 4 I ordered as a back up, but it was too big in the straps and chest area, so I decided to tough it up and squeeze into the 2. The zipper is very hard to get up. I had to have my husband assist me multiple times. The dress is short, but still covered well enough. I am 5'6" with long legs. I just wish it would have had a bit of stretch in it to keep it comfortable all night long. 

good size for petites but bring a sweater if you're bustier because it's definitely tight in the chest. Wore with tights 

One of my favorite rentals. I am a size 4, and the 4 JUST fit. So if you are in between sizes I would go up. It was cute and flirty great for a wedding. I am 5'4 and it was short, but fine. If you are taller the length might be a problem

This dress fit so well I felt great. I have a small chest and straight long torso and I was happy that the fitted top was snug and the waist hit my natural smallest. Low cut but cutesy and nice thick fabric that stays smooth. I really liked this dress!!

I am very petite and the 0 fit nicely.  It was a good length for my height (4ft 10).  Would rent again!

This dress was a bit tight in the bust, but on the plus side, I didn't have to wear a bra underneath. It was a very cute dress, and I got a ton of compliments. The skirt is very feminine. I was certainly rocking more cleavage than I thought, given the other photos on the website, but overall this was an awesome rental. 

I rented this dress for a holiday party and it was perfect! My sister wore the backup size -- the 4 and 6 were pretty similar except the straps seemed way longer on the 6. . Super cute black dress that would be appropriate for a bunch of different events. The skirt is flowy and fun, and the small cutouts are a great touch. Definitely one of my favorite rentals so far. 

LOVED this dress! I didn't want to give it back! I ordered a 4 and a 6. The 4 was a too tight in my bust area. The 6 fit like a glove! Perfect length for my 5'8" height, the perfect amount of legs! I would highly recommend this dress for any girl!

This dress is very cute and fun to wear. It's tighter in the bust area than other dresses from the same designer I've rented in the past. I'm a 34c, usually wear size 4, wore this dress in a 6. 

I'm 5'2 and the dress ended about mid-thigh. It was a good length for it to look cute but not too short and not too long (usually an issue for me). The top was super flattering, worn with long earrings. The fit was true to size. 

I liked the dress and received many compliments. Fabric is really nice and thick. It was good length for being very short (5'0) but probably not as flattering being small chested. The straps are pretty long, so neck line plunges quite a bit.  Overall though it was a fun style to wear to an outdoor wedding we attended. 


This dress was amazing! The material was thick and hid any imperfections! It fit my hourglass figure perfectly - I got so many compliments and I felt fantastic in it!

This dress was very comfy but definitely runs small. I usually wear a size 0-2 but I ended up wearing a 4. Alsoooo you can't really wear a normal bra with it but that wasn't really a problem for me. Overall, great dress!

Very simple but I loved the style and it was perfect for my college graduation. Overall fit well I chose not to wear a bra with it and you could not tell

The dress was the perfect length on me, and the straps fit my shoulders well. With a tight top and a slightly flow-y skit, this was a really fun, flirty dress. No complaints! (If you're between 2 sizes, I recommend getting the bigger one!)

I wore this to my sorority's winter formal. Loved the dress! Definitely runs a bit small- the 4 wasn't available so I couldn't try it on, but the 6 fit well (I usually wear a 4). Very flattering and classy. I could even wear a regular bra with it which was a plus. A perfect LBD!

I loved this dress.  The top was a little tight so I would have ordered the 4 next time.  But other than that it was perfect.  

I wore the 4 bc it was the only size available BUT I def would have rather had the 6. If it wasn't black I don't think I could have gotten away with how snug it was. I'm usually a 4 in everything however I think Elizabeth and James runs smaller than other brands. I always size up and would have been perfect if I had!

Of course we did the "bride wears white and bridesmaids wear black" on a friend's bachelorette. I was obsessed with this dress! Super flattering and got lots of compliments (lots of cleavage)- would have wished the straps were adjustable, but not a huge deal! Would definitely rent this one again- LOVED!

Eliz and James are a fav of mine This dress fits fabulous - it is flattering in all the right places! I got so many compliments. It is sexy yet classy, and a fashionable LBD. You can style it up with a fun shoe, or accessories. I opted for a bright shoe.  I intended to wear a strapless bra, but my regular bra fit perfect with it. I would absolutely recommend this dress for a wedding, cocktail party, or special occasion! I'm tall, so usually a 4 or 6 and the 4 was true to size, on me.


I wore this dress to a rehearsal dinner. I would say it's on the smaller end of the size spectrum, but still fit. A little short, and tight in the rib and boob area. D cups be warned. Otherwise I loved it and it would rent again in a heartbeat!

This dress is super cute and flirty ! The flare skirt is very flattering on the waist and the top is tight enough that I didn't need to wear a bra. The material is thick which makes it dressier. Would rent again

This was perfect as a little black dress for a bachelorette party weekend. Perfect for girls with hips that don't like tight dresses in that area. I thought it complimented my body type perfectly. Only thing was that it was very tight in the chest. I wasn't even wearing a bra and still thought it was tight. It was comfortable when standing up but when sitting for a while the torso was pretty tight. So not the most comfortable but still, got lots of compliments and felt pretty! 

I knew it would be short on me, but perfect for a date with hubby! The ladder trim detail is super cute, and the dress has a little bit of stretch that made it fit perfectly. I wore without a bra, as material is a bit thicker. 

I loved the thick fabric that this dress was made of, and the way it moved when I walked! Unfortunately the dress fit slightly too large. I ordered a 4 and 6 based off the reviews of E&J dresses fitting small. A size 2 would have for perfect. I really like that it hid some of my belly bloat from the previous evening! Such a cute LBD!

I wore this for a friend's bachelorette party. I'm on the far left in the picture. It is very cute and flowy at the bottom and super tight at the top. I had just had a baby two months ago, so I knew my boobs would be bigger so I went up two sizes to compensate, but alas it was not enough. My boobs were still popping out, but since I used it for a bachelorette party it worked out. Love the small cut outs for detail.

Love this dress.  Fits true to size, maybe slightly small in the bust, which was good for me! 

This dress fit like a glove. The thick fabric held everything in place, but wasn't hot.  It has a great stretch so I could move around, and was so fun to dance in with the little fit and flare skirt!

Loved this dress! The top was tight enough that I did not need to wear a bra. I have a large chest, so I was nervous I might have an accidental slip, but all was well! I got so many compliments and it was very comfortable. 

i had ordered a different dress for my prom and the day venire is when it was supposed to arrive. on the day that it was said to come it didn't so i called rent the runway and they had to talk to UPS then i was told that it would take 8 days to find my dress because it got lost in the mail. and i had told rent the runway that my event was the next day... i began to freak out because it was the day before and i did not have my dress. rent the runway was very helpful towards my situation and they gave me an overnight shipment on a dress the was double the price of the one that got lost!! I ended up with an even cuter dress and it all worked out perfect!!! this is true to size but before the dress came i was afraid of how short it would be because it looks really short on the model picture... it was the perfect length though!

The fit is perfect! The fabric is so nice and lined on the inside. The construction of the dress is done very well and the pleating on the bottom of the dress is not overdone, adds a flirtyness. The straps are a little thick for my liking and can make me look a little topheavy due to my bust size. I personally like thinner straps to have a more feminine look but this dress fits so well I don't care about the straps.  Wore on an anniversary dinner date. 

This dress was very cute and flirty. Great quality and fun to wear. Definitely more cleavage than I'd expected, though. 

Was a little nervous of it being too short and wasn't bad, very flattering fit. Rented for my birthday and perfect for a night out- super flattering. Would rent again!! Highly recommend!! 

Wore this to a friend's wedding... It was fun and very flattering, and the fabric has some stretch to it so it was comfortable all day/night. It was a little on the short side for me (5'9", long torso), and it felt a bit breezy since the skirt is loose, but overall it was *just* long enough. I ended up wearing it with a nude strapless bra to avoid any wardrobe malfunctions with the cut-outs, but the fabric is thick/structured enough that you could probably go without. More well-endowed ladies might want to be careful with this one, I'm only a 34C and there wasn't a lot of space left over. My only con is that I wish the cut-outs were a tiny bit bigger, they didn't really show up in pictures. Overall, great dress; hubs wanted me to keep this one.
