I really liked the different fabric types on the dress. I rented it for work but when it arrived I found it to be too short for work and wanted to wear it out on the weekend with white Keds. The problem with this dress is that when you sit all of the buttons gape and don't go flesh against your body which I personally do not like the look of. Haven't worn it out yet, might have to give it go for a purely standing event. 

The only drawback is how quickly it wrinkles.  Also, be aware that the chest area is a bit snug.  

So comfy and versatile. Just had to be careful sitting!

Dress was a little big. Should have got a small. I didn’t like how the dress was wrinkly even though I ironed it multiple times. Overall perfect dress for a brunch!

Perfect for a day outside! Elevated shirt dress that I felt comfortable and kept me cool in the sun. I didn't have any issues with it being boxy, actually felt like it was tailored to have good coverage since it is shorter. 

I wouldn't have felt comfortable wearing it to work to be honest. 

Paired it with a chunky Egyptian necklace and Got the most compliments. Very comfy and also a bit edgy. Most importantly, very appropriate for work. I'm a size 4 and 130lbs and the Medium was PERFECT. Any smaller and it Would've been too small. 

I wore this dress to work and while it was cute while I was standing, when I sat down the buttons pulled open a little bit which was not a cute look!

I wore this for a business casual work conference (but could be worn for really any kind of event). Got a million compliments. It fits well and is flattering, but a little short when sitting down. Didn't bother me at all but might be too short for some corporate atmospheres. I'm 5'7 and wore heels. Would rent again. 

True to size shirt dress with no stretch.  This dress gives off a spring, summer vibe with its blue & white stripes. I rented this for the office and to try out different fashion looks outside of my preferred all black outfits. 

So cute, but was not long enough at all. Looked like I was wearing my husbands work shirt! Which is good for indoors, just not in public! 

I love this preppy work look by Elizabeth and James! Running small with no stretch, I recommend going a size up for your back up. This style is fitted throughout the midsection and fitted throughout the hips. It works best for A-C cup sizes. You are able to wear a standard bra with this work look. At 5'8, the length hit mid-thigh on me. This menswear inspired look was fun and simple to wear. Pair it with a cute flat and a statement tote will defiantly complete your look! 

Dress is classy. The last button came off before I even got to work. You need a slip or something to wear underneath it. Size is true to size. I wore it for work.

I loved this dress! It was very flattering the way it curved to my body, was the perfect length and had large cuffs to take it up a notch. I wore this to a dinner in the North Fork because it was preppy, nautical-ish, blue stripes remind me of the beach or Hamptons and I just really liked the fit. It could totally have been worn to an interview or a work event because of how professional it is. I would totally rent again!

this was a fun piece to wear, it was a little on the shorter side for me, so it could be fun for a BBQ, something casual where you're not bending over too much. I wore once with sandals and once with low booties. 

Loved this for work, would've work on a weekend or vacation if it had been just a little cooler out. Cool twist on a basic shirt dress, the material felt great and the fit was perfect (sized up per other reviews).

Wore this for happy hour, cool in 80 degree weather, but wrinkles easily.

Was snug across my chest, but still worked well with a few buttons undone! It was fresh looking, although it wasn't SUPER comfortable. It also is a button down men's T-shirt type material and wrinkled easily. But other than that, it was a hit!

So happy I read the reviews ahead of time because I ordered up a size and due to my larger chest, I couldn't button without it pulling. To avoid a gap, I left opens and wore a bandeau underneath. Didn't need tights; it was longer in the back than in the front, too. The shape was great, something that's not always the case with the menswear inspired lines. I will def be renting this again. 

I wore this as a bathing suit cover up for vacation recently and it was awesome! It is too short for me as a normal dress but I loved the preppy look which worked well for my beach style. 

I loved this dress for everyday, however it might be a bit short for office. It's very pretty in the beginning of the day, but wrinkles way too easily! The fabric feels great though.

I'm 5'11 and it wasn't too short with flat sandals. Was so comfortable!

Received compliments from coworkers for this dress. It runs a bit boxy but overall I love it!

I'm between a 4 and a 6 but mostly 6 (because I have a wide back) and wore the medium. The fit was great without having tightness in the back or bust. The length was long enough to wear as a dress. I didn't like how my midsection looked in the dress so I put a white denim skirt over it to create shape and let the bottom of the dress peak through. I wore it with gray suede booties.

Back to the shirt dress - I love it! This was an option given to me by a RTR stylist. I wouldn't have ever chosen this myself. I decided to give this a shot since this brand usually runs small.

This x-small is still loose fitting, but cute for an everyday outfit. I love the style & the fit isn't bad either.

Don't like the photo fool you, this dress does not appear that wrinkly!

I loved this dress, it was a little short for work and the spring weather has been a little cool in the 50, so I put black leggings underneath. Looked great with heels and I dressed it down with sneakers for the weekend.

This was a fun piece if you want to play with the irregular/assymetric denim look.

Denim is going to be the IT Spring trend! If I would have gotten this dress in a Medium, I would not have taken it off! Like other items by Elizabeth and James, I HIGHLY suggest going up a size! This dress does not have any stretch like typical denim pieces, but does have really long sleeve which is a total plus to me! I selected this dress for everyday, but you could totally dress it up with cute heels for a Spring/Summer brunch! This dress is great for the straight and narrow body type, but anyone with a little more in the bust... get 2 sizes up as your backup size.
