Beautiful dress, cinched  in the middle, and the elaborate skirt is beautiful but will get hooked /caught on things if your not careful

I ordered both the large and x-large, and though the x-large would have given me a lot more room in the hips, the bust was much too loose. The large fit just right and though tight, was still comfortable enough for hours of dancing. I wore a strapless bra for more coverage since the bust was still a little loose.

Perfect for a black tie event! I rented the XSP and SP and ended up with the SP as there is no stretch to this dress but the overlay does make it forgiving. Also, if you have much of a chest, expect to show some cleavage (there is no where for the girls to go but up!!). I’m 5’3” so needed the petite size and even with heels, it was a little long. Had to hold the lace up to avoid catching my heel. But overall felt amazing wearing this and would definitely recommend!

This dress is perfect for an hour glass figure. It’s a heavy fabric so it’s pretty forgiving. I’m 5’7” and the XXL just touches the floor barefoot. The straps are adjustable. There’s a little room in the XXL, if I rented again I might try the XL.

The fit was spot on! The length was perfect for flat sandals (I’m 5’6”). I added some padding to fill out the cups since I have a small chest (B cup). The fabric does not have a lot of stretch, so it holds you in, but it also means you can’t take big steps when walking. It’s ok, I just took small, dainty steps. As others have said, there is virtually no gold on the overlay fabric. Maybe it did when it was brand new. Still worth the rental though!

This dress fit me well. It was a close second to other dress which I picked only bc I didn’t need help getting back into it after using restroom (zipper was hard to zip all the way up for me) and it was a thicker fabric. I would have worn this one in cooler climate. But nice dress!

I loved this dress. The bottom half is very thick, so no spanx required and it was very comfortable. I wore stiletto style heels and they did get stuck in the lace a few times, but it was not a big deal. If you plan to wear block heels or a wedge, you would have zero issues with this dress. 

I was 13 weeks pregnant and I ordered both the MR and LR I ended up wearing the LR for extra room but I could have wore the MR. The only issue I had with the dress is that my heel kept getting stuck in the top layer of the dress. Wore to a military ball and it was perfect! 

Perfect wedding guest outfit or any black tie event. 

This is probably on me for trying this dress knowing my body type but I didn’t feel great in it. I ended up wearing a different dress. 

Perfect dress for a formal wedding! Gold detail is minimal but the dress is gorgeous. It fits well and was comfortable to wear all night. Form fitting but enough stretch to dance and sit comfortably. 

Wrote this to a black & white gala and it was a stunner! If you want it to really hug your curves, go with your normal size. I ordered both a large and XL and decided I wanted it just a bit looser. Comfortable with a nice amount of stretch. Note that my heels did keep catching in the lace overlay so I had to hold it up when I walked even though it wasn’t too long. 

A little lower cut than expected but adjustable straps!

I loved it! The fabric has some stretch to it and hugged my curves perfectly. 
Pros: 
- I didn’t have to wear a bra and was not worried about flashing anybody if I had to lean forward
- 3-inch heels were enough to keep the dress from dragging on the floor 
Con:
The only thing I can think of is the lace detailing may get snagged if you’re not mindful. I could not rest my clutch on my lap, or it would get caught on the lace (the clutch was bedazzled). 

The flowers are entirely black. It’s nice just not my style. The top felt a bit tight, if I had bigger boobs it probably would’ve been uncomfortable. Good dress but I won’t be wearing it anywhere.

I loved this dress—I wore it to the opera and paired it with a shawl. Boyfriend had to help me zip it up and it was a bit snug but standard for a gown like this. I wouldn’t want to have worn this to a wedding or an event where I’d be moving, because with how short my torso is and my proportions (5’2”, ~200 lbs, 36DD) my boobs were very present and I was adjusting a lot even though I had the straps tightened well. Dress was also really long so I had to hold the skirt up to walk without tripping, even in 4 inch heels. Still loved the dress and was happy with how it looked, just be aware of cleavage if you’re a short + stout lady like me!

This was a gorgeous black dress - with the right amount of detail. Just be aware that if you’re fuller in the chest, it IS pretty fitted up top (originally assumed I could wear a strapless bra, but quickly found out nothing else was going to fit up there LOL)

This is a gorgeous dress! I added an antique broach at the decolletage (cleavage) area - which "made" the 20's theme. The "gold" doesn't really show much - especially for an evening event. 
Since this dress is form fitting - body measurements do not track as well - so make sure to get the next size up for your "extra size" in case. While you don't need a bra in the dress, but you are smaller up top,  you may need wish to add something fill it out a bit. For the price and the style I totally would order this dress again. My big selling point was seeing real people wearing the real dresses and I can't wait until the next event I need a themed gown!


This is probably my favorite dress I have rented so far. Wore it to a gala. Ordered the small and medium. Both fit. But went with the medium so that the girls weren’t showing as much since it was a work event. Wish I owned this dress. 

This dress was perfect for a black tie wedding in NYC. It was appropriately formal but the detailing on the skirt helped it stand out from the many other black gowns. The skirt was heavy so I wasn’t cold when the sun went down but the top kept me cool and comfortable during the sunny outdoor ceremony. We were running late for the event so I was relieved to see how low maintenance this dress was when I put it on. I got ready in under 30 mins, put the dress on with a low heel (the length could be too short for anyone taller that wants a heel, I’m 5’7” and wore a 1” heel), and walked out the door. No fashion tape, safety pins, or even bra, needed. For that alone I’d give it 5 stars but I’m a big wedding dancer and this dress was NOT great for an indoor dance floor. Hot would be an understatement.Bottom line: if you’ve got a fall/winter, or outdoor, black tie event and want a low maintenance dress, this is the one for you! 

I went to a Black tie themed wedding in Charlotte and this dress accomplished the goal with an edge in style! I received constant compliments about its look and fitting. I ordered the medium as a backup, but wore it to the wedding. It hugged my curves just right, but the top was pretty snug. Fortunately it gave my chest a natural lift! It was difficult bending over without squatting. The length was good for my frame. The dress was also comfortable enough for dancing!

Really high quality dress.   Fit like a glove on my curvy body.   Highly recommend.  

Although I loved this dress, it wasn’t one of my faves. I didn’t think it cinched in enough at the waist. Wish it had been a little more form fitting up too but the length was perfect with 3 inch heels. 

I loved this dress! I wore it for a black tie wedding. It was loose in all the right places! I could not easily wear a bra and my boobs were a little tight for the cup but I think it looked great! My heels got caught in the lace a few times. Overall, it fit better than expected and I was very comfortable. I am normally a 10 and ordered a L. The next size up was not available as a backup. 

This dress was perfect for the black tie optional wedding I went to. The straps are adjustable, which came in clutch on the dance floor, and no bra needed! It was a tiny bit long, but still workable.

I wore this to a gala for my work and absolutely loved everything about it.  The cut was different from what I normally go for, but was flattering without being revealing or too form fitting.  I got so many compliments- can’t recommend it enough!

8/10 for me, I did order two sizes and went with the smaller size. Very flattering, only drawback is I don’t like when dresses have a boob line, that area where your boobs are suppose to fit. With DDD it’s never right but due to the fabric you really can’t tell on this one. The bottom is lace so yes it will grab heels but I just grabbed it at the side when I walked and problem solved. 

The dress was very pretty but I was between the small and medium. I’m 5’4” 140lbs and have had a baby. The bust was very small on the small and that worked out for me since I am tiny there and didn’t need to wear anything underneath. The length was very short so I had to wear flats to make it work. It was a little tight to zip up but better than the medium that was too loose for me in the bust and waist but a longer length that would’ve worked better for heels. 

The dress fit great and makes you look nice and curvy! Dress is more suited for smaller boobs. My stiletto heels also kept getting stuck in the lace of the dress. 

I wear a size 14 and this fit great. Felt gorgeous and got lots or compliments. Perfect for a black tie wedding 

I liked the dress. I have a 38dd chest and wore a strapless bra. They chest was defiantly busting out.  I could have not worn a bra but I preferred the lift. I received many compliments.  One of my complaints is the top portion of the bust line has a pattern of where it seems like the chest should be. Made it look like my chest was to big for the cup.  The zipper would get caught in back by the material.

This dress was really pretty, but totally squished the girls. It would have been great is I were a B or small C cup, but didn’t accommodate my larger bust. Nice heave fabric. Very old Hollywood glam feel. Didn’t end up wearing it because of the fit though. 

Received many compliments on the dress! The only thing is it was slightly too long on me and the lace gets caught on heels pretty easily. 

The material was amazing, totally sucked me in and stayed in place. Received tons of compliments, and questions of where I found it. Very figure flattering 😍 

This dress is beautiful and I got so many compliments wearing it for a wedding. I'm between sizes at the moment...larger than an 8 but smaller than a 10. I ordered size Large and XL (back-up) based on reviews recommending to size up. I wish I would've gotten the medium as my back up size. I found the bust to be very stretchy and actually big. (And I'm a C cup). I tried putting a bra on but it made my chest look huge. So I did forgo a bra. Also I think a smaller size would've fit better for the bodice overall and allow stretch. Overall I was pleased with the dress. I felt comfortable and confident in it.  One thing worth mentioning, I tried wearing stiletto heels and the heel kept getting stuck in the lace holes just trying it on! I ended up wearing a chunky heel to ensure I didn't damage the dress. Problem solved!
