I wore this piece several times! I wish I could afford to buy it but would definitely rent again. It's so stylish and fun and easy to throw on over a swimsuit. It does have see-through areas down the sides so you can't really wear it as a dress unless you put a slip under it. I wore it from about 20-23 weeks pregnant with some room to spare... wouldn't really recommend wearing it with a big bump though as it was starting to get a little snug!

Wore on a lake weekend. Sleeve cuffs have clasp closures that might be tight on some arms. Comfortable, soft, easy!

This dress has it all, it's not too thick and not too thin. It has braiding down the sides (I think that kept it cool too because it was thicker material which works indoors when the air is on, but outdoor on warmer nights) but I feel comfortable just wearing a string bikini under it to go to the grocery store. Or wear about the house every night for happy hour/ charcuterie board hour on my Hawaiian vacation. Loved the colors. Many compliments. A+

Amazing beach cover up beautiful details would rent again!

I initially thought there was no way I could wear this stylized nightgown outside of the house. But when I put it on I realized it's low cut and your flesh shows through the latticework all the way down the garment, so it's actually quite wearable in public without looking like you just woke up from a long winter's nap. I think it's an incredible beach look.

I really considered buying this dress. Incredibly soft and comfortable, breathable, and a gorgeous statement piece. Every time I wore it someone would ask me where I got it! 

I loved this caftan. I would literally have kept it forever if I had a desert home. I wore it for a girls weekend in Utah and wore it over my bathing suit the entire time. It obviously is supposed to be a larger fit so I wore the small and it was great.

Love love love this!! I wore the small, and wore this for a Coachella theme event. It has openings like everyone said in other reviews, but I had a brown slip dress that I wore under it and it was perfect. I received so many compliments on it and it was amazingly comfortable. It is a fun dress to wear and love the detail. 

This is a loose fitting coverup, perfect over a swimsuit. The braided parts are open so beware. The tassels and embroidery are beautiful. If you are looking for a vacation piece that you'll be happy to wear throughout the trip, this is it. 

My favorite part of this dress is the unique texture and fabric! 

The magic is in the details on this dress, love all the stitching!  Love the shape, it's loose but not shapeless.  Bonus: there are pockets!  The dark orange x pattern that goes down each side is open, so you may want a slip.  The v is also fairly deep where you may prefer additional coverage.  I'm 5'4" and it hit just at the ground for me.  Loved it and would rent again!

Great dress. Perfect summertime "day-to-night" outfit. Must be worn with a slip! Is sheer and has cutouts throughout dress. Could also be worn as a bathing suit coverup. 

Heavier than I though it would be, which ended up being great as we got a little cold spell in Hawaii.
A special dress, definitely not form fitting, very roomy, probably need some height to pull it off.


I absolutely love the look and the weight but I would have to be at least 5 inches taller to wear this. Plus, the lattice panels on the side are completely open so unless you wear it as a coverup or you've got awesome body confidence...it's sorta a no go. Still, lounged in it in my hotel room

Wore black short spanks and back sports bra under the dress. LOVED this dress. 

I could wear an S or M. Size small fit but the pockets were high on my torso and the sleave length was a little short.

Loose.  Got lots of compliments.  Need to wear with something underneath, like a slip dress, because there is some exposure with the open netting on the sides in the front and back.

Seriously in love with this designer. Color combo is prettier in person; slide slits make it easy to move and lounge around in; this was the first DBO muumuu I've rented that has pockets which was aMAZingly practical. Mostly wore it around the house but had zero problem running errands in it. I find that this designer usually runs large, but this one was TTS; would have loved a little roomier but seriously no complaints. Will definitely rent again.

Dodo Bar Or at its finest. Statement making yet so easy to wear. Note that you'll need a slip to wear it on its own as there are cutouts in the embroidery throughout. Would be fantastic for a beach vacation - going from coverup to dinner out. 

The details on this dress make it special.  It’s loose without looking like a tent.  It has cutouts so you may want to wear something under it or you can just enjoy the ventilation!  I normally wear a size 6 and this dress fit perfectly in a small.

This is a perfect vacation throw over the swimming suit to walk around the resort. It's fancy enough to go to a nicer restaurant and grab lunch without changing out of your swim stuff. I love the colors and detail on this caftan. It is a bit loose, even in a smaller size, but it ended up working great with my 2nd-trimester belly bump.

Absolutely love it. I wore it with a nude knee length slip dress underneath and it worked perfectly. Paired with brown leather sandals and puka shell jewelry. I normally return my RTR items right away so I can bring more variety into my wardrobe, but I am going to keep this one for a while.

I think I lived in this dress the whole time I had it. It is so comfortable and super cute. I received tons of complements while wearing it out. The fabric is on the heavier side but it is very breezy. Wear neutral underclothes with this one as the little panels are see through but not in such a way as to be vulgar. I love it and will be renting again!

This is such a beautiful, bohemian dress! I wore it as a cover up for a beach vacation to Tulum. It is definitely a loose, caftan-style fit — if that isn't your style, this dress probably isn't for you. I love that style of dress, so this dress was perfect for me! It runs a little large - I rented a SR (normally am a size 6) and it fit me with room to spare. I am 5'5" and the length was perfect on me. As others have noted, the material is a thick cotton, but the weight of the fabric makes it drape beautifully and it is very breathable due to the cutouts in the fabric. I felt like a million dollars in this dress. I will definitely rent again!

I wore this on a recent trip to TANZANIA! While I think the design is Mexican rather than African, it worked very well for the occasion.  I wore to the African themed restaurant at a resort in Zanzibar.  The material is a little heavy for summer, but I does have vent holes to allow the air to flow. Perfect for a nighttime event in Tanzania!


Great Cover-up! A little warm, the fabric is a bit thicker than I thought, but it was a fun coverup and easy fit.  

Love this dress but large was too small for me 

I loved wearing this. It was comfortable and I felt lovely. That said, it was not particularly flattering. Does that make sense?

too large: MR was too oversized for my 5'5, 135 lb self.

Perfect for cover up, not for wearing as a dress b/c it is see-thru.
