I got this dress in both the 14 and the 12. I tried the 14 on first, which fit well with the dress landing at my lower calf and was a little loose. I put on the 12 and it fit perfectly. As you can see in the picture the 12 landed right at my mid-calf and had just the right amount of snugness. The material isn't so restrictive that you can't move. It flexed pretty well considering all the moving around I was doing. The slip underneath did ride up quite a bit throughout the night, which wasn't really noticeable due to the pattern on the dress. I have a bigger bust so was concerned about whether it would fit weird in that area, but it did not. I got loads of compliments on it, it was so comfortable, and I felt so feminine (normally I'm in jeans and a t-shirt/tank top) wearing it I kind of wish I could own it.

This dress was so gorgeous. It comes in two parts. the slip did move around a bit so be careful when using the restroom to readjust it at the top. The dress itself fit a tad small but it was my only option so I wore it anyway. It looked absolutely great on but the nature of the lace made it a bit hard to move around it, especially if your chest is bigger. It even look great at the end of the day in my sneakers and a leather jacket. Would absolutely rent again. So many compliments 

Great dress to y'all girls. It is a 2 part dress: a black spaghetti strap slip for underneath then a crochet shear overlay. The slip was a little short for me (5'10) but you couldn't tell under the dress. For us nice. Arm sleeves were a lil big on me but I have two gig arms. Would recommend. 

The slip underneath is a bit short but given the length of the overlay, was appropriate for work. Wore on an international work trip and received a ton of complements.

It was pretty much perfect. I looked great - don't judge by the photo lol! I got a ton of compliments and I felt awesome. It had just enuff stretch and sucked me in in all the right places.

I absolutely loved this dress. The design and workmanship is great quality. I got so many compliments and felt amazing in this dress. Form fitting. 

This actually ran a bit large on me. I ordered the 14..but ended up wearing the size 12 back up. I am 5'8",have a large bust, wide shoulders and narrow hips..this dress has a fairly straight fit so if you have wide hips go with your regular size, if you are straighter like me then size down. I loved how normally dresses make me look boxy, but the fit of this accentuated my curves without being too tight or clingy. The dress was super classy, with just a little bit of sexy. Cool for a hot summer wedding and very comfortable. I loved the just barely there 1950s retro vibe it had.  The slip did ride up..but I had another stretchy slip I just wore instead...that held better. It looks pretty matronly in the bad when it arrives but put it on and BAM completely different vibe. I had compliments all night...including a few from complete strangers. Loved this dress. Will rent again!

This dress is really beautiful and quite versatile. I had rented it earlier in the year for a business event with my husband and loved it. (Attached photo is from that rental). We recently had a death in the family and with a few changes to my accessories, this was beautifully appropriate for the visitation and funeral. Plus, I don't have to look at "the dress I went to that funeral in" every time I am I n my closet. 

The dress is two pieces: slip and lace top. The lace top is a PAIN to zip. The look, though, is stunning! 

Wore for a day of the dead party in Mexico.  Fit like a glove!

Love the for of this dress. It just makes you feel confident! And the material feels expensive, which is a huge plus. I also felt like it was easy to style it up. I have zero complaints about this one! 

Wearing this dress makes you feel very ladylike and sophisticated. The lace is a very nice quality however it not have any stretch. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the slip was the perfect size- I have found with other dresses that sometimes the accompanying slip is too small.  There is a zipper down the back that is very long which makes it easy to put the dress on and take it off. On my shape the waist ran a little bit big so I added a belt to conceal the extra fabric which also looked nice.  I think this would be a nice dress to wear to a wedding or dressed up daytime event as well.

The lace is a little stiff but this was an easy dress to wear all night for a party. It pretty straight down dress, I wore spanx to help keep my belly a little more flat 

There is a slip that is separate from the outer frame of the dress. The slip can slip a bit so be mindful of that. I really liked this dress for my daughter's college graduation. 

Wore this to a friend's wedding. In true DVF fashion, it accentuates your curves in all the right places. The lace is stiff and you may need help zipping in and out. Also, the black slip bunches. I spent a lot of the evening adjusting. But at least I looked great doing it. 

But was feminine and fun.  Nice fit, beautiful lace.  Slip rode up a little.

This dress was very beautiful in person! The size 14 was tight and there is no stretch so i just baaaarely fit in it. The zipper was pretty sricky. Took me about 30 minutes to get it zipped so give yourself some extra time to get dressed! 

Fits well, but is sheer and if you're not careful, the black slip that goes underneath it could ride up as you're walking and reveal way more than you'd care to do so. Great length for tall girls who desire a true knee length fit.

I loved this dress. I usually wear and 8 and it fit perfectly. The size 8  slip did come with a slash through it, so I had to wear the one from my backup size. This also had some damage, but was less noticeable. The slip did ride up throughout the evening which was a bit annoying. I received many compliments, and the dress was very flattering all over, structured enough to flatten any areas I was worried about! 

I wish I were just a little taller so it would hit somewhere else on my body. I'm 5'4". Still, it's a nice enough dress. Could see a belt working wonders!

The dress comes in two pieces - the black slip and the lace overlay. The lace overlay is gorgeous but sheer. The slip is where all my troubles started. I missed some of the other comments that mentioned that the slip rides up - boy, does it ever! After a 15 min walk it was revealing much more than I ever wanted. I spent the entire day adjusting the dress and could not wait to take it off. Such a shame that the slip wasn't longer/ attached / weighted as it would have made this dress great. 

I sized up as recommended - wore this dress to work. The dress "liner" definitely rides up, but if you find a way to secure it, it can work for work. I think this dress would be better for an event because of the liner riding up. I felt like a classy lady in this dress!

Fit like a glove. The lace overlay does not have much stretch so a little tight when you sit. The slip underneath is short but overall it looked amazing. I received a ton of compliments.  

OK this is a beautiful dress but I didn't wear it as it didn't fit over my hips but was loose at the shoulders.  This isn't a good cut/fit for pear shaped women.  The reason I give it 5 stars is a friend of mine who is apple shaped (e.g. slender hips) wore this dress and it looked awesome on her.  It looks sophisticated from a distance and fun up close when you realize its shear everywhere but where the slip is.

Great dress -- more comfortable and flattering than I had anticipated. Looks great in photos, too ;) 

I'm older (50+), 5'3" and wore a size 8.  This is a beautiful two-piece dress (black slip with lace overlay).  The dress is beautiful and has a little stretch.  It was a little long on me, so I wore higher heels.  This was my first order and I'm very impressed with the quality.

The dress fit great. The slip did not stay in place but I was able to make it work.

The fit was somewhat loose after the bust, which was flattering on my figure, the dress was comfortable to wear all night and looked great!

Dress was very flattering. Slip had two small tears in each side so I never wore it. 

This dress is absolutely stunning! I was so bummed it didn't fit (I'm between sizes!). 

I will say I was nervous when I put the under layer on because it was super short, but it ended up stretching to the right length. 

This dress would look fabulois on a curvy girl and being 5'5, it hit me at the right spot length wise!

I wore this on a work trip with black pumps and red lipstick.  I was in a warm climate so it was perfect for warm workday and client dinner afterwards.  My dress arrived with tags still on so I was first to wear.  Loved it.  

The lace is beautiful as is the fit.  My only difficulty is that the slip underneath is *very* short and it rides up if you are wearing hose/tights.  I was really glad that I was wearing opaque tights because after walking from dinner to the theater, the slip was almost up around my hips!  If I rented this again, I would definitely use a different slip.  Also important to note, the lace is not stretchy. I was sitting a lot s did the sit test a few ties before committing to wearing it.
