This dress fit me perfectly and was very much my style! Loved it so much!

This dress is very easy to style, and you always look great in it. I loved how the blue and gold stand out against the black; it makes it look very elegant. 

This was a beautiful dress! Made from a thin breathy material but felt high quality and I loved the gold button details. Definitely considering buying this one!

Love this dress. It's a classic work dress with a little flare.  It tugged across the chest a bit but not enough to not wear it. 

I didn't get to wear this due to weather but it was lovely. I wanted to keep it!

The one size did not come with a belt, so I wore my own, very flattering, got lots of compliments at a work event.

So easy to wear and travel with. The details are amazing - bright gold buttons and blue stitching. There’s even extra material in the shoulders so it gives some structure. I really love this dress and am not ready to return - but the lady who chased me down in the airport is probably ready to rent it by now ;)

I wish someone had shared a close up picture! The dress is BLACK not navy & had bright blue contrast stitching. There are no buttons- they are all gold snaps.  Every snap is functioning- even on the shoulders.  They are secure, but make sure they are fully snapped closed (I learned the hard way leaning over). 

The tie needs to be knotted to stay tied!  This material will not wrinkle or crumple, even if you roll it up into a ball. 

The material was light weight enough to keep me cool on a 90° plus work day and running errands.  

This dress is my favorite Derek Lam so far- and that's a high standard. Every Derek Lam dress I get is better than the last one! I will absolutely budget to buy this one.  

Really liked this dress - only gave 4 stars because I didn’t love “puff” at shoulders. Very easy to wear and buttons make it so easy to take on and off. Was pleasantly surprised with the blue stitching detail.

I loved this dress! Awesome material, well-made, and very comfortable. I felt elegant, modern, and professional wearing it at a conference this week.  

Absolutely wonderful work dress. Lux materials and detailing elevate the black dress into something memorable. Sizing was perfect for me. 



The fit and overall structure were impeccable, making it incredibly easy to wear. A definite standout piece from office to dinner. 

Derek Lam knows how to structure a dress. Fabric is comfy and fit isn’t too restrictive. Deducted a star for the way the buttons are because you have to go all the way to the collar which isn’t my preferred but it worked for this one. Wore w flats at 5’3 and length was great. 

Wore to a party and got lots of compliments. Fit nicely. 

Wore this to an all day site visit, did not show sweat, wrinkle, or attract any lint! Would be great if you are traveling or need something to wear to work for extended hours you will look put together all day! 

This dress was perfect for a business dinner.

I loved this military-style dress. I wore it to work and on date night. I especially loved the neckline, gold buttons, and length of the dress. It fit very TTS. Wish I could buy! 

A definite one to rent again - lightweight ease, stretch, comfort and class. 

Loved this dress. Though it’s generally a simple cut, the gold buttons take it from “nice” to “wow!”. It’s very comfortable. The sleeves are a bit oversized which I thought was a nice detail. If you are short, you might find the length awkward. I’m 5’6” and the length was fine on me. I’d rent this again.

Loved this look for the office - felt professional but still comfy and luxe. True to size! 

Had outside work event at a winery it was comfortable and long.

I was expecting this to be navy blue and denim for some reason, my expectations were completely off. Instead, it was black and a fancier fabric. The look was severe and honestly, I felt like I should be running a military school instead of working with teachers at an elementary school. It really wasn’t my style, but the fit was good and the dress was well made. 

Dream work dress- high quality, interesting detail, super flattering. Would buy asap if I could

This dress checks all the boxes. It’s flattering, packable (did need a steam) and looks fashionable yet professional. I wore it to a Board meeting and felt great. 

This dress couldn’t fit better if it was custom.
