I was able to just as easily pair this top with jeans or with a pair of slacks and a blazer. I got a large which made the top a little roomier than I thought it needed to be, but otherwise it still looked great. 

I absolutely loved this top. I paired it with black pixie pants for work, ripped denim shorts on the weekend, and a tweed jacket and jeans for a nice dinner out. I liked the construction of the button-downed look with a demur ruffle in the front and added length in the back. It was a great pick! 

This top fit fine but was just borderline too precious for me - it kind of flares out and ruffles at the bottom in an adorable way but shapeless way. Cute but just not really my style!

Cute top for spring/summer. The button closure is double-lined so it doesn't pop open. I'd wear it with light or white jeans and some heeled sandals. 



Did not wear. Just was very un attractive on my body type 

Timeless, year round piece. Fits perfect on small busted petite frame. I think it's different and classy. 

Really basic and sweet work top. So easy for summer! 

Love the ruffle. Fit perfectly through chest and right amount of flair through torso. Flattering for short waisted figure.

Fun little top that can be dressed down or up depending on your personal style. The shirt fit fine, I just felt it was slightly big for how I normally want to fit in a shirt of that style. Either way, I enjoyed it and wore it more than once. 

The picture on the site does not do it justice - it's so pretty in person. Very flattering fit!

This was a very nice shirt. I wear and 8-10 normally and the Large size fit very nicely. I received many compliments on this shirt. I wore it alone with jeans as a casual option. Then I wore it with black slacks and a blazer to the office. 

Fit easily and didn't have think about it all day. Good for summer day to day and at work. Would rent again.

pros: hides flaws, easy to pair, cool for summer, not too cool for office
cons: arm holes are a bit revealing, had to use tape on the buttons at cleavage area, but I'm busty. 


A little large in the bust (I'm small chested), but this was tailored very well and both professional and fun at the same time. I liked it a lot and would wear again. 

So this is one of those pieces that just looks very different in person from the picture...I think it's possible the gingham pattern causes too much moire for the camera they use? Anyway, this top is cute and very springy! I wore it to the park some bermudas, but you could probably dress it up with some statement jewelry and a smart pant for a not-too-formal workplace. It's a slightly bit boxy, but pairs great with a cropped jacket!

Nice fabric and the ruffle at the bottom is very cute detail that gives a fairly simple shirt a pop of fun. Looked great under a jean jacket when it was a little cool outside. 

I now know I can rely on Derek Lam for good quality fabric, excellent construction, and comfortable wearing clothes while still being stylish. 
This shirt was just what I needed for daytime in warm weather....

It was a little tight in the bust. Has cute detail at the hem and hangs lower in the back. 

I'm busty so it's hit & miss whenever I order a top. I opted to order size L and it was a great choice. great piece over jeans and under a sweater. 

Very cute, although I should have sized up. I'm busty and the fabric (while I loved it) was not giving at all during the day. 

Best for smaller chested gals. 

Looked way cuter/crisper on the model. The buttons gapped a little, but mostly fixed by wearing a more minimizing bra. The armholes are also high cut enough that if you sweat it's showing. Overall wearable but disappointing.

I really needed a medium. Was cute but a a bit boxy.

Very cute top, well-made and adorable pattern. The problem is it runs large, especially if you have a smaller chest like me. It was a little saggy on, with very large arm holes that showed far too much of the camisole I had to wear so you couldn't just see my bra. If mother teacher did not endow you in the chest, size down.

I have a larger chest so the closed top and frills at the bottle made me feel like a giant round ball. 

Cute, but short in the front a bulky. Didn't wear.
