I wore this dress for a work trip, fit perfectly and got a bunch of compliments!

I love stalking the new arrivals on RTR, but I especially like to see what RTR has in the “picked for you” section. What does RTR think I’ll like or thinks will look good on me. I came across this dress that from reviews leads me to believe it’s been on the site for years. It’s a very light blue with red stripe dress and just has the cutest fit to it. It’s not new or trendy, but I felt great in it. I’ve found I prefer to size up in Derek Lam so I went with an 8. For more RTR reviews follow me @confessionsbyannie!

Good one-off office dress. Very comfortable and I thought flattering. Probably could stand some ironing. 

Worked this with jeans and Pumps. Tried to make it feel more stylish with these choices otherwise it's plain Jane.

I am in between size 16 and 18.  This dress was way too small around my waist and chest. The backside was cute though. 

Perfect for castle hopping in Germany. Super comfy and cool for hot summer days. Can be dressed up or down. Fits true to size and the length is just perfect, not too long but not too short ( I'm 5'5). I'll definitely rent again!

This is my second Derek Lam rental.  I was amazed at the sewing detail: smocking the back, side zipper, inside button to help keep the dress snug to my waist, light material.  My husband thought I looked like Billy Jean King in a tennis dress.  I wore it to the beach for dinner on the deck.  It is not a work outfit but definitely for the weekend.  

Loved this dress! It was something different and very cute. 

This is one that I'm really sad about returning. Loved this outfit. I was a little concerned this would look like office attire, but it was definitely didn't! I wore it on a summer vacation, and it was comfortable and cute. Length was perfect - youthful but not too short. 

Perfect summer dress...cute, casual, comfortable.  It's blue and orange, not red and white as it looks on screen.  Wore it several times - looks cute with sandals or sneakers.

Cute!   It was broad in the shoulders for my frame but perfect fit everywhere else.  So I got over it by leaving a couple top buttons open and making it look more purposely loose.  Felt like I was rocking a new vs of a button up men's shirt that was made into a sleeveless dress with a fitted waist and hip.  

Busty women should beware with this cute dress. I rented a 2 instead of my normal 0 but it was still a little tight in the bust so I couldn't wear it. 

It’s cute, but waaayy to tight in the chest. I’m a 34C. 

I can usually wear a 2 or 4. I'm small up top and med-small on bottom. This dress was very tight. I would size up if you're on the fence. 

Runs VERY short. Would be great for a day party

Young and fun.  Maybe I'm neither.  Faux buttons from waist to hem.  

Cool breathable cotton. Good length on petite frame. Scrunches at the waist make it look fitted.

This dress was very flattering on me and it just fit great 

I wore this dress over 7 times - great fit and flare. 

Runs small. Normally I size 12 and I wore a 16. Short and tight across the bust.

I thought this dress would be red and white stripes, but in person it looks quite different in red and grey. I actually like it much better in person! I thought the dress was tailored in a very flattering way and not too short. I usually wear size 4 but only 6 was available so I got the 6. It was loose in the waist, but the chest fit perfectly. So if you are large chested, I would suggest to size up. 

The fit was a little tight on top so I left button undone and wore a bralette underneath.  It has an elasticized waist in the back which helps a bit if one is slightly thick around the middle. The length was perfect.

Love the fit, very flattering, the material is good quality cotton, felt nice on my skin. The style was a fun twist on a dress shirt, with flattering lines 


Sadly I didn't wear it. I have gained weight (now 132 lbs) and I guess I need size up to 8 :(
I am going to order this again though!!! (in a bigger size)

 Cute and preppy look, bunches up in the back a little bit. Wore it for a weekend pool party with flats!

Super cute for the weekend. A little shorter than I would typically wear, but I'll give it a shot this weekend. 

This is a very cute dress but not if you are bigger busted, it will be too small on the top.  Also if you are short waisted it runs a little long in the waste in my opinion.  

My husband asked if it was my diner uniform but I liked it. It was comfortable and stretchy and adorable. 

I wasn't crazy about the ruching at the waist but otherwise very cute.  

The dress is super cute but it was too short for my comfort. I'm 5'2 and 21w pregnant. XS. XS fit fine it was just too short.
