Really loving the opportunity to wear Derek Lam. The fabric has great stretch, but it's also thick. Special touches like the bell sleeves & ruffle back hem really make this memorable.

Absolutely loved this one.  Forgiving sweater fabric on sides.  The most perfect gathered flip on the back of skirt.  My only reason not to buy was because it shifted up when sitting, so had to tug down when standing up (awkward at work meetings).

I liked this a lot more than I thought I would.  It's definitely thigh-hugging, even when the rest of it fits, but with the layered skirt in the back, it works.  Paired with low-heeled black booties or else it would have been too short/too much for the office. 

This fit perfect. It hugged in all the right places and was super flattering. The back detail was cute and flirty while still being work appropriate. 

The material is warm and comfortable. Love the flared sleeves and the back.  The cut and lines are flattering.  Simple yet fun. 

Wore this dress to a work function and a party. Many compliments.  Very comfortable.

Its tight stretch material - so i should was got S, would be less stretch- wrinkles . But it looks so much better then photo, nice quality fabric & design

Love this dress. Fits like a glove; super comfortable and very flattering. I have a round butt which I normally try to conceal; with this dress it was all there but because of the ruffle in the back, it worked.  I would wear this again any time - with the navy and stripes it's sort of corporate while being incredibly trendy and hip. I wore this to a retail conference and to work fir a day. I loved it! I woukd love to wear this again. My only complaint is with RTR- it arrived dirty. There is food or something on the sleeve. Gross.

The fit is amazingly flattering and super comfortable. I got complimrbts all day abd felt like a million bucks! I wish I could keep it!!!

The fabric is super comfortable and has a little stretch that makes it easy to get on. The fabric is thick so its perfect for winter and fall. There is a cute ruffle in the back that spices it up a little bit. It rides up a little while walking but not too much. I got quite a few compliments

It's tight but flattering! Cute ruffle in the back and sleeves makes it just trendy / fun enough to still be totally appropriate for a business meeting. 

It was a tad too short to wear heels with it. So I wore black patent flats.  Very heavy and warm material to keep me from freezing in the conference center. Loved it!

This dress comes off extremely comfortable and stylish. The material is very stretchy and shapes your body well. Got lots of compliments. It's classy for work occasion and fashionable enough for social occasion. 

Comfortable to wear all day and on the airplane. Wore in VERY cold weather with fleece lined tights and boots. Very cute detail in the back. Might be a bit short for the tall ladies. 

Very tight fitting, but super thick fabric. Lines make it very flattering. Wore to work however the bell sleeves make it super difficult to type. 

This is an easy winter work dress. The ruffle in the back and flare sleeves added some femininity to the harder stripes. The body is a bit lighter black versus the knit sleeves and sides that have more stretch. Diagonal stripes on the front sides pull in the waist. The sleeves were a bit long for me and if I owned I would probably tailor - still wearable for petites.

Derek Lam runs small, I normally wear a 4 but the 6 was fitted in the body but a little big in the shoulders. Nice dress for a cold day, but beware the knitted sleeves are a little long and bulky in a coat. 

I liked this dress...didn't love it. The length was perfect for someone like me..tall, with thick legs. Covered just enough and was perfect with tights. The lines over the hips were not flattering to my shape, in my opinion, and the sleeves were bigger than I expected..watch out if you're eating..they might get food on them!  All in all it was cute, but I likely won't rent it again.

I rented this long-sleeved dress for September in NYC, which is hit and miss weather-wise, and it was all I had with me when the temp reached 75...thankfully, I was inside with AC most of the day. Cute and flattering, and I love the pinstripes. 

The outfit is perfect for a date night/girls night out. Wear this on the colder nights - fall/winter - the material is thick and warm. The outfit is def high end - I felt so chic wearing it. I loved the flared arms. The only con I had was that it looked a bit over worn (faded). 

I wore this to a winter bridal shower with otk boots. Received several compliments! I could probably wear this to work with some flats. It definitely was a good fit (not too tight) for a day time event. 


The stripe detail gives this dress a great curvy shape. Fabric nice and heavy for fall or winter. My only complaint is the sleeves are soooooo long - covering nearly my entire hand. 

This dress is well constructed and true to size. I liked the sleeves and the ruffle in the back, but I just didn't feel cute in this. It's very heavy, so it's good for cold weather, but I feel like it added more width to my body. 

I gambled and bought this dress and I am so glad I did! What a beautifully made, quality item. 100% wool, soft, Is stretchy, comfortable and forgiving. I do wear shape wear with it but I consider that a small price to pay to own something so luxe. So far I have worn it to an evening professional event and gotten many compliments. I can see wearing this in many other scenarios.

I couldn't wear but would rent again TWO sizes up.

Heavier, stretchy material made this dress forgiving and flattering. The bell sleeves made it interesting, though they were a bit long.

I loved this dress. The fabric is thick and comfortable. There are stretchy side panels, which made it hug in all the right places. There's a fun little flare at the back of the skirt. My only quibble with it was that the sleeves were too long and came down almost to my knuckles. They also belled out a lot at the wrist, which would be annoying if you had to do anything with your hands while wearing it. I decided the dress was a bit too sexy to wear into my professional office, but I would rent it again for an event or party.

Cute dress that fits well and has a flirty ruffle below your bum. I'm curvy on the bottom and it accented it so well that I didn't wear this dress to church. I did wear it to work and no one commented. The fabric was sturdy with a nice stretch. Long sleeves that were long enough, that's always a plus. 

I wore this for a business meeting at 4 months pregnant. It fit easily over my bump and got so many compliments!

This dress is great. I didn't think I'd like the ruffles at the back, but they gave it that bit of interest it needed. Very comfortable, perfect for work!
