I wore this to work on a warm fall day and it was perfect! I am 5'4" and still find some of my RTR dresses way too short for work so the length on this dress was a breath of fresh air! The string belt is merely for show and does not serve a purpose of actually tightening the dress (zipper and buttons in the back + defined waistline). I found the dress was true to size. If it wasn't insanely expensive, I would've loved to keep it!

I loved this dress. I wore it twice during my rental - to a nice lunch and to work. It is a pretty conservative length (even on my 5'11" frame), so felt most comfortable in a higher heel. I also preferred to add my own belt, rather than the string belt that came with it. Ill definitely rent this one again!

This dress received so many compliments. You cannot go wrong with Derek Lam!

I wore this dress to work in February and froze my butt off! It is VERY sheer!  The fabric is flows and moves however you do. It’s more for the Fall than Winter. I wore this with patterned black tights and received so many complements.  

Fabulous floral dress by DEREK LAM! We love how comfortably chic this piece is for everyday or a quick brunch. Running large we recommend going a size down for a back up. This dress is comfortable providing room all throughout with some stretch. The dress drawstring along the waist line helps to accentuate your waist and provide great shape. This piece can be worn with a standard bra and falls about knee length. Pair with your favorite fall boots or heels and enjoy the day!

Wasn't sure about this dress as it's more flowery than what I usually wear, but I wore it to work and got a lot of compliments. I'm 5'10" and it ended up being knee length on me. 

I intended to wear this dress on a date with over the knee boots, but when I tried it on it was a little more conservative than I had imagined.  I'm 5'9" and it nearly went to my knees.  Wound up wearing a different dress and sending this one back.  
Overall, though, the fabric is nice and not staticky, the waist is fitted with a small zipper in the back so the gathers at the waist lay nicely.  

Beautiful print. Too much fabric in sleeves and above the waist. The dress does have a real waistband so it will sit nicely if you have the right frame. I should have waited for a 38 but still don't think it would have looked right

The collar is high & snug… like a crew neck T-shirt, I liked the fit but maybe too high for some.  Got compliments 

Waist fit a bit odd. I have a pretty long torso, and I feel like my torso was too short for it. Got lots of compliments on it, but I don't think I'll be renting it again due to an awkward fit.

Wore this for Thanksgiving dinner and it was fabulous!  The print is gorgeous and you just put it on and forget about it, it so comfortable and with the longer length and high neckline you are never fidgeting or readjusting it.  Absolutely loved it.

The fabric is nice and light. It would look cute with tights and boots. Fits really nicely and got a lot of compliments!

Yes it's a little "Little House on the Prairie" but for a random work dress it was great!

The pictures don't do justice to how beautiful this dress is.  the fabric is gorgeous, and the details and the drape of the silk are absolutely beautiful.  I wanted to buy this dress and would wear it over and over if I could afford it. It is the perfect modern, boho fall/winter work look right now

I enjoyed this dress.  Very comfortable, well made and easy. I wore it with tall, heeled, tan boots.  I felt it was youthful for my 48 years, but not too much.   I am 5'8"  and it hit me where it hits the model in photo.  

Fit perfectly. Very comfortable. Has long sleeves but light for summer. 

As other reviews stated it is a little house on the prairie but I received lots of compliments on it! It was too big so I would size down!

I received this dress as a replacement in my order and was a little hesitant on what it would look like, but it was beautiful. The fabric is very high quality and lays well. I ended up wearing this to work and then out for a valentines dinner. 

This dress was true to size. Like many other reviewers, I wore a larger belt than the tie belt that came with it. This helped give the dress more shape.

I loved the gathers at the neck line and the blousy arms.  I wasn't crazy about the string belt, but it worked.  The one thing was that the zipper didn't lay right in the back.  The bottom of the zipper kind of stuck out.  I still wore the dress, but was a little conscious about it all day.  Other than that I loved it.

I liked the dress and got many compliments. I wish the neck wasn't quite as fitted.

I wasn't sure about this dress when I first tried it on, but it grew on me. I ended up wearing it with my own wide black belt. I felt the dress looked better with the pattern broken up. It was tight in the neck but fit fine everywhere else. Wish I had taken a photo.

Really pretty dress I wore to 1st reconciliation.  

The dress fabric was amazing however it was a really large fit.  I paired it with some thigh high boots and made it work I received many compliments.  

I ended up not wearing this dress as the bunching around the hips ended up not looking very flattering on me and the flower pattern was not my favorite. 

The dress was tight in the waist. Typically I wear a 36 in European sizing and 2/4 American but the 38 was a little tight. The print is much more dull in person. I opted out of wearing it.

This dress was great, flattering and fit well. The only problem was that it is extremely long! I am 5'7 and this came well below my knees but not long enough to be a cute midi dress. Awkward length. Felt overly conservative for my age. 

Length wasnt an issue as much as fit all over was intended for taller frame. Waist hit below natural waist line on me and tie/belt didnt help much. 

Only three stars but my own fault: I should have read the reviews more carefully--this dress is NOT for short people. It's gorgeous, but I'm 5'2" and it was too long everywhere. Great dress, just not for me!

Was a bit frumpy. This is likely because the sizing was a bit larger than anticipated.
