This dress is so luxurious I felt like Cinderella. The material is heavy, but the dress has this beautiful movement to it. The fabric is comfortable and the dress has pockets!  I can't count all the compliments I received. I wore a 4 and I am kind of wide at the top, my bust is 32D. The straps are wide. They naturally fell at the edges of my shoulders so I could see how this wouldn't work for a person with a narrow body. 

I rented this in the 36 - a bit apprehensive the size was smaller than my usual- but it was perfect. Fitted throughout the bust and waist and flared out from the hips to hem. Because the dress is more classic and understated, it was a great opportunity to have fun with shoes! The fabric is thick and substantial - great for slimming and smoothing. The v neckline is bold - without being risqué or too revealing. I was comfortable all night and hope to rent this dress again!

Classic lines were super flattering, highest quality material, and long/modest enough to be accessorized for a formal event or work situation. 

This dress is stunning - everything from the cut to the contrast stitching.  I'm a little shorter, so it was more a midi on me, but with flats and a high pony it had the perfect, classy 50's vibe.  The fabric is a great weight and the pockets are a bonus!  This dress wasn't my first choice but due to unforeseen circumstances, it was the dress that was sent.  I am so grateful that it was!  It's a great dress; I would highly recommend it!

I love Derek Lam! This was not my favorite but it was a fun dress.  The stitching is nice and the pockets!!! Love that!  It was pretty low cut and I did not wear a bra (you can though).  It is longer than I thought but still, a cute fun dress.  

Perfect fit and true to size. Modest yet very stylish. 

The fit is great and I got compliments walking down the street. Stylish and classy dress. 

My partner zipped me into this.  It fit.  Was gorgeous.  And perfect.  Except it felt (but not looked) tight through the back.  Sighing, a little.  I twirled once (it was roomy enough elsewhere for me to try it on over jeans and a tank) and if it back into the garment bag.  

Fits great. Very slimming and love that it is midi length on me (because I am short). Will definitely rent again. It's gorgeous!

The dress was absolutely lovely, the luxurious quality will make you feel like a star.  I love the hidden pockets as well, unfortunately I couldn't wear it out.. I'm between a 6-8 and I choose a 6, it wouldn't zip all the way so I wasn't able to wear it to my event.  I will rent again in size 8. 

Fit beautifully and I got so many compliments on it! The material is very thick, which makes it a good dress to wear in all seasons.

I am short, barley over 5 foot. This dress was a midi on me. It fell below my knees. It is much more full at the hips than the model shows. However it has a gorgeous structure and shape to it that made is a delight to wear TWICE before returning it to RTR. 

I wish I could do 6 stars in the rating--this was such a special dress for a wedding I was in.  I highly recommend sizing down for your backup--especially if you have a smaller bust.  And it had pockets--bonus!

I like this dress, unfortunately. I needed to size down. I ordered a size 40. Will try to get a smaller size. This is a heavy fabric.

Beautiful details and stitching on a heavier fabric with pockets?  I loved the look and fit from the bust down.  Unfortunately the bust area was too big and the dress bunched at the shoulders, as it is made for someone with a longer torso.  I would gladly have purchased this and altered it. 

This dress fits well and is a standout. However if you are a C cup or above you may need to cover your décolletage with a necklace while wearing this dress.

It's a beautiful dress with thick fabric, definitely not for every day but for a special event. It does, however, run very small. I'm usually a size 6 and that's what I ordered and it was very tight. 

I wore a 38 top by Derek Lam before but it didn't fit--too small-- in this dress. Also was too long on my 5'3" frame. Such a shame! It was a very beautiful dress with great fabric. Love that you could wear a bra and the contrast stitching. Just too small and long.
