It's a beautiful dress and I did receive compliments while wearing it.  I'm an hourglass size 6, wore the medium, and it fit perfectly. Keep in my that there’s no zipper so you have to pull the dress up over your hips. If you're pear-shaped this could be an issue causing the top to be too loose. 

Such a nice and comfortable dress that can be dressed up and down for more formal occasions. I wore this for a gala with a cocktail attire / business casual dress code and did not feel overdressed. I received compliments all night. 

Truly got an astonishing amount of compliments in this one. Wasn’t really my style but a hit nonetheless! Was slightly too big so I pinned the ruched side a little more. The color is so rich and beautiful, and the fabric feels fantastic. 

Loved it. Wore it to a wedding and a gala. Technically not the most flattering in the middle but I didn’t care before it was such a gorgeous piece. 

The dress was beautiful other than the weird gaping on the side opposite the zipper. This was my backup dress so I didn’t wear it out but it was still a nice option. 

The material was lightweight and had a luxurious feel to it, great for a fall wedding. I was worried about the length being petite sized but it was perfect. I wore 3 inch heels and the length hit at my ankles. I received many compliments on it! 

This was the best dress ever. It was so comfortable and looked great. I was getting compliments from random strangers all night!

This dress is very easy to wear. Everything stays in place. There’s no zipper but it is stretchy. The fabric on top fits like a sports bra and flattens the chest so I added some cutlets. 

Great dress, very comfortable. I would highly recommend tape for the low side- it does stretch out a bit. I was worried it would be too small- not a concern at all. 

Ended up wearing the medium normally a 4-6 in a dress and it fit perfect! Very comfortable and got so many compliments!

This dress was truly perfect! I’m between a size 2-4 and got an XS which was perfect. I wore this to an all day wedding and was very comfortable, I received so many compliments and just felt beautiful! It’s a must buy! 

Fit true to size, got lots of compliments. Dress has a nice weight- not too heavy or light. Easy to dance and move it. Only downside is that it doesn't hold in a belly and I found myself sucking it in for photos...but who cares. Perfect dress for a fall wedding. 

Rented for a September wedding and i don’t think ive ever received so many compliments. At first i thought the top was a little too snug but it loosened a bit throughout the night. Absolutely loved!

I didn’t like this dress on me due to the little pouching of my lower belly with the material of the dress. It would’ve looked bad in pictures so I chose not to wear

FYI, I love this dress and my regular size, 8, had this odd little cut on one of seams on left hip. It stuck out and when I tried to pin it it looked worse. So I ended up wearing the size 10 one and was fine. It fit well but of course was a tad too big, though it’s hard to tell. I felt more “snatched” with the 8.

Rich color and luxurious fabric. The pleats have disappeared in the one I received but it was still beautiful. The ‘wing” others mentioned was a non-issue and barely noticeable. I think it added just a touch of fullness around the length of the leg. True to size. I wore to dinner and cocktails. Would rent again. Please don’t dress this down! 

This dress received so many compliments and was extremely comfortable. The only thing to note is I did have to continuously pull up on the side without a sleeve to make sure my strapless bra was not showing.

This dress was absolutely perfect for the occasion. The fit was flattering and comfortable all night long. The patterned material was such a fun and unexpected touch. It added something special to the overall look. Rent the Runway continues to exceed my expectations. I’ve never been disappointed!

I wore this to a NYE wedding in Miami and it was perfect! The velvet felt seasonally appropriate, but I was SO comfortable. Very flattering, I received so many compliments!

I ordered a large size since i am normally a 10/12 so rather err on the side of larger than too tight.  It fit wonderfully and got a lot compliments for it.  My only complaint is that with a large size, comes a larger bust and i am a B cup so occasionally thru the night i found myself lifting up a little bit but nothing unmanageable.  I’d rent this dress over and over again.  

Perfect fit and still very comfortable to wear all night. I wore a strapless bra and nothing budged at all. 

This dress needs to be added to the “bump friendly” filter. I wore it to a black tie optional wedding at 21 weeks pregnant and it was the perfect look. Very comfortable. Great fabric to keep warm for cooler outside temperatures but also let me breathe while indoors. Held the boobs in well without a bra.

This dress received so much love! I am pretty short but the length was great, and I was wearing kitten heels! It seems like it might be too warm but it was so comfortable and I didn’t overheat. Didn’t even have a fashion emergency on the floor while dancing. The fit was comfortable and hides unforgiving parts of the body lol. Highly highly recommend!

Had a wedding at an upscale restaurant in PA on 1-25-25 and went with this beauty of a dress for comfort and fun.....and it was perfect!  Lots of compliments and I could move around with ease!
The venue was warm and I stayed comfortable -- so happy with this rental!

I ordered the S and M and both had a strange fin like flap on the side. I saw this in one other review and hoped it wouldn’t apply to me but alas. I don’t have much of an hourglass frame, so perhaps this works better on curves? I tried pinning and ironing in a crease but that messed up the flow of the dress so I wore something else. Otherwise, the S fit overall better than the M which was pretty roomy on my chest and torso. Beautiful color and fabric and would have been quite comfortable with a strapless bra. There’s no zipper so prepare to pull on over your head. 

This was stretchy but also snug (there is no zipper if that matters to you at all). Could wear with or without a strapless bra. I felt comfy all evening and this hid spills pretty well as well, haha

Small fit but medium felt just right. Loved the fabric, loved the color, felt glamorous. 

I ended up wearing the Medium size since I just felt a little more comfortable. I loved the fabric - it was super soft. The style is great for hiding any stomach pouch. The dress I got however was cut weird on the side hem, but I pinned it with a safety pin and it was better (added some reference photos). You also sorta have to go out your way to show the leg slit.

I wore this dress to a wedding in December. The velvet material is rather thick and I felt very warm wearing it. Got lots of compliments on how flattering the fit was! A definite showstopper. 

True to size, and great material. It was comfortable and got a lot of compliments on the color.
