I am planning to buy this. The length, sleeves and cut are a perfect fit. I have never had a coat that did not need alterations. It looks great closed and open and is perfect for fall weather. It may be too cold for a winter coat. 

LOVED THIS COAT. Wore it every day on a trip to Italy in February. Goes with sneakers, boots, can be worn to work or out at night. ONLY complaint is no pockets. 

Perfect for the four weeks of "winter" we get in LA. I've gotten compliments almost every time I've worn this so I've kept it for longer than I thought I would.

This was a great jacket for work and to wear on the weekend. It fits loose but is still flattering. You can wear a sweater or something lighter underneath. It's warm enough for a moderate winter or for fall. 

This coat was great for my trip to New York! Not to heavy to wear but kept me warm! True to size and perfect length! I'm 5'7 and wore a small. I wore it two nights! One night I wore a black dress underneath to dress it up and then I wore it during the day for a more casual city look! If I could buy it I would in a heart beat. 

It's relatively lightweight so probably not the best for the coldest of days. Otherwise, I loved it! 

Loved this coat! So chic and simultaneously neutral AND a statement. It isn't the warmest thing in the world but worked for the mid-30's weather the week I rented it. Short girls beware - it's a VERY long jacket.

This is the perfect coat! Even though it's thin, it's still super warm. I'm currently in 7 degree weather perfectly fine and I'm from Texas. 

It's super cute and goes with a lot more stuff than I thought!

LOVELY. I get compliments on it wherever I go. Gonna keep this one for myself I love it so much.  Not the warmest coat, but it stands a brisk walk in the San Francisco in December. The length is perfect. 

I am obsessed with this jacket! I almost didn't return it. The plaid is beautiful and goes with everything! It's a great layering weight. Too light for winter. Size up if you have bulky sweaters to wear under. My only wish was that it was a little shorter.

I loved this coat - it's really comfortable and was perfect to wear to work (looked more polished and professional) or on the weekend with sneakers. Great go-to coat and easy to throw on. I recommend for cold fall weather...but not winter weather. Really loved it!

It' runs big, great pattern and material 

Actually obsessed with this coat. I've never kept my RTR items for more than a week until I got this coat. It's so warm and fits perfect. Planning to hold on to it all through the 'LA winter'.

I usually stay away from long coats since I'm so short but IMO I think this one was so cute despite it being a lot longer on me than the model! It matches a lot of stuff and overall the fit was good. Being petite, I usually have problems with arms being too long and shoulders too big but this was perfect.

LOVE this coat and I'm planning to purchase it. Warmer than a duster or long sweater but not as warm as a coat. Runs big, size down for a more of a fitted look.

Really loved this coat. Truly an oversized/80s vibe, but I got a ton of compliments on it! I usually wear a small and the small fit in the shoulders, but the overall look is oversized. You could probably go down a size if needed. Material is warm and super comfortable. Perfect for fall in the northeast.

This coat is very on-trend and I loved how it draped my body. The lining is quite thin though so I would definitely recommend for fall / spring weather vs. use as a winter coat. Overall loved the style of it and felt very chic in it!

Love this jacket! So cute and makes me feel so fashionable. It is comfortable to wear in 50 degree weather but I would not wear this in snow weather. It's very long on me and goes to my calf area but that's fine. I felt like I could've gotten a small but a medium worked well!

I bought this after renting it, and it is one of my favorite purchases EVER. I can dress it up and down, and I've received compliments on it from complete strangers. It's the perfect light coat. And perfect for our trip to London in December. 

Great for everyday jacket for the fall season.  I don't think I would wear it in the winter in NYC but perfect to wear in 40 & 50 degree weather.

Loved the length and fit of this coat. I almost wanted to buy it because it is from last season and the price is reasonable.  Also its slightly worn but not overly noticeable

This guy was PERFECT!! I got compliments on it everywhere I went. It was a great length, great fit, and just the right weight to keep you cozy but not drag you down. I loved wearing it with something red to bring out the subtle red in the plaid, too. There's a strong chance I rent this again for next winter. 

I really love this coat and will probably keep it for another week! It really pulls my outfits together and gives a polished finish look. However this is on the lighter side of mid-weight coats and wouldn't rent it during the depths of a New York winter. Also it does not have usable pockets so make sure to keep gloves in your bag.  

True to size fit! Great length, especially for me being 5'10. The sleeves were a bit short, but I didn't mind. Amazing color and went with any look! Loved it! 

I'm shorter and the coat was on the longer side, it worked fine however and came to a few inches above my ankles. 

I was searching for a long plaid wool coat on RTR. I read every review so I could find something that was the right weight (heavy but not too heavy), length (to my ankles), and pattern. This was PERFECT! I wore it almost every day for over a month before I had to admit that it got too cold to wear it :( 

One thing to note: the arms are a little tight if you wear a thick sweater. This was one of the main reasons I had to give it back once it got <30 degrees F. 

Loved. Was comfy and fit really well. Looked great for work or everyday. Fairly warm but I wouldn't wear in temps under 45 degrees. It is roomy enough for a sweater though and looks good with a blanket scarf. 

Only issue is it was missing one outer button 

The arms are tight but the body is incredibly over sized. I ended up not wearing it because I didn't have a scarf that worked well with this color. 

Oversized and baggy, let arms are slightly tight so would be hard to layer over a chunky sweater. Overall, TTS.

Another perfect RTR item: trendy and cute but not an investment item you'd want to buy and own. It looked better on me unbuttoned but I did wear it buttoned outside in the cold. Really fun way to jazz up your winter wardrobe. 

Overall, if this jacket was bought new I'd LOVE IT. This jacket was shipping with a missing button.
