I rented this for work meetings and was not disappointed. Loved the fit (though I sized way up from my normal 6 to a 10 to accommodate for my larger bust), the pockets, and the pattern. An excellent rental all around. 

Cons-not very forgiving in the bust and sholders.  Maybe a tad bit shorter than I wouls usually wear to work but with flat boot it worked. 
Pros -Fun detail  in the back and it has pockets
Overall good everyday dress 

Loved this dress! 3/4 sleeve, fun back, and pockets!! Worn with tights and high boots in the winter months to work! Would rent again!

Wore this for Thanksgiving - great for a dressier occasion while still being able to have room for dinner! The fabric in photos looks tweed but it's actually a lightweight stretchy material. Obsessed!

Rented the 8 and 10. I didn't want to wear spanx so used the 10 for extra room in the hips. 8 was just slightly snug. I would say it runs true to size. 

The fabric is more of a thin stretchy polyester.  Nonetheless, great basic shift dress.  Got lots of compliments.

I wore this outfit to the office.  It is a small fit.  I order a size larger than I normally do because of the prior reviews that I read.  I was very happy that I order a size bigger, because it was a PERFECT fit.  The material looks thicker in the picture than it really is; however, it was very comfortable.  I did not find the pockets to be troublesome as I had read in the other reviews.  I would definitely order this to wear again.

This dress does not have much curve to it, so I opted for the size 10 to have it fit better around my hips. Consequently, the top was a little large, but it still fit well enough that my figure wasn't completely hidden. I wore this to work on my birthday and got many compliments! The fabric is not actually tweed like it looks, but more of a smooth polyester material. My only complaint is that it was a tiny bit short.  When I would lift my arms up, about 6 inches of the slip that I wore underneath it showed. 

Dress runs small. I'm 5'4 and it was a perfect fit. I usually wear a 4 or 6 but sized up after reading reviews. The shift dress is comfy and simple and has pockets.  Nothing wow or amazing about the dress but a good staple to wear to work. 

I sized up since everyone said the dress runs small. I don't think it does at all. The 10 was way to big and very awkward. It didn't do anything for my figure. I feel like this boxy kind of dress only looks good on tall thin girls. 

Also, like others said, the dress is definitely NOT twill. It's a stretchy kind of material with the pattern printed on it. I was not a fan of the print. To me, it just didn't look right. Also, the dress is much darker in person than the stock photos show. Mine was almost grey/black. I didn't end up wearing it because it just didn't do anything for me. Cute in the photo, not in person.

Definitely weirdly sized.  I sized up to a 10 and I'm glad I did as it was really snug in the hips (making the pockets stick out) and in the shoulders when I'd cross my arms, but then it was a big baggy in teh chest and stomach area.  Overall if it had a little stretch I would have liked it more, but it's not a stretchy material at all so I don't think I'll rent it again. 

It's not something I would normally buy, especially at that price point, but it's really cute as a rental... I could have fit into a 2, but I got a 4 for a more trapeze dress fit.

I'm short so it was fine on me with opaque tights on but def on the shorter side 

So comfortable yet fashionable I had to buy it. And it was my first ever piece work from RTR. 

The fit was true to size, but some may find it to be snug.

I love this dress. It is simple, but it has little details such as flaps in the back and buttons to take it up a notch. Plus it has pockets and fits perfectly. I want to own this dress. 

great dress for a workday to go from day to night. the cape in the back adds a little bit of a flair. would definitely  rent again!

Fit me life a glove. The 3-quarter sleeves were so nice, the fabric is soft and comfy but looks like woven material at a distance. 

The fit is great but a little short. I like how it can be worn day to night. 

Good fit, pretty classic and looked nice with black tights. The flaps in the back gave it a fun detail.

I wore this for Thanksgiving with tights. It was right in the middle between casual and dressy. I had no problem fitting into the size 4 (my usual size) with a 5 month baby bump. So it does have a little stretch and room in the midsection. The pockets are also key on this one!

Wore this to a baptism with black tights and black boots. Very comfortable and easy to wear. The print makes it look likes its a thick fabric but it's actually not. Would wear again!

I am 5'2", 118 lbs and the size 2 fit perfectly. I ordered the size 4 as a backup. The length was just above the knee. The material in the photos looks like a heavier tweed, but it is actually a thinner lined silk/polyester blend. The dress is forgiving in the mid-section (especially for post-baby bodies).  Love the pockets. The only odd thing about the design are these awkward wing flaps on the back, but they lay against the body so it isn't that noticeable. 

Like others said, the pockets are odd -- they don't fall in a flattering place but overall the dress was cute enough. 

Little tight in the butt and short, I'm5'3" and I wore with leggings instead of tights.

Lovely construction. The unique panels and asymmetry were nice! Alas, runs too small in the hip area for curvy or pear-shaped bodies. Would look great on those with small hips and thinner thighs. 

This is a cute office dress, but be prepared to wear it with tights because it's a little short. I wore it with black tights and booties and had several compliments. 

If you have a big butt or wide hips this dress is not for you. I didn't size up and it was super tight on my hips but fit perfect everywhere else. Definitely for tall person with small hips. But I did like the softness and material of the dress.  

I love that the arms had some stretch. Might be a little short for some offices. It worked for me and I would rent it again. Love the pockets.

I loved this piece. It fit perfectly. It is short but with opaque tights was fine for work.  I didn't adore the panels in back but overall I was a great simple dress for Work. 

I tried everything to make this adorable dress work, but in the end, it was just too short to be appropriate for my age (48) and my workplace (law firm).  As other reviewers have mentioned, the material is different than it looks online.  It is a smooth printed material, not a tweed or sweater-type material.  It's incredibly cute on and I would have kept it and worn it with tights if it had been just a tad longer. 

It wasn't super professional, but still worked as a cute work dress. A little boxy and so short (and I'm only 5'0). It's a thin mater with a pattern, not tweed or twill. 

The dress was a little shorter than I expected.  Fabric was great and overall fit was nice.

Not made for short people. Awkwardly long and too tight in the waist.
