This dress was perfect for my holiday party. Both the size 8 and 10 fit but I ended up going with the 10 so I could be comfortable and sit and eat since it was a dinner party. I got lots of compliments with this dress. 

But too short on me for a work event to feel comfortable. Had I rented it for a different occasion, it would’ve been a fine length. Had to pin front hem to keep wrap design closed. 

I rented 5 red dresses from RTR for my high school reunion down in New Orleans. My class colors were red and black, so I wanted a true red dress and the Cinq à Sept option fit the bill. After trying them all on, this dress was by far my favorite out of the five. It fit my petite frame in all the right places and I received a ton of compliments!

This dress fit really well, and was very flattering.  i received a ton of comments. it's a little shorter than I might have expected.  But it still looked great.  it did show every line and wrinkle. So I did wear a smoothing spandex type of slip.

This had a flattering fit and very comfortable! Short, yes. 

Loved the cut, color, design and everything about this beautiful dress!! Was definitely too short and a bit too tight (my mom borrowed it) for the size I ordered. Would rent again but size up. Perfect for a summer party and very flattering. 

Great dress for a work event. Looks even better in person. Wore it to a "red carpet" award show. Got many compliments. Only thing is if you're tall like me (5'10) it may be. a little short . Very nice material and structure. Almost bought it!

Fits and hugs your curves. Beautiful color. Received many compliments and was comfortable to wear. 

I wore this cute dress to an embassy party. The bow is very strategically placed -- it helped hide my little apron belly. The 8 fit like a tight glove, but I wore the 10 because I was a little more comfortable in it, even though there was a bit of gaping in the armpits and back. The dress shows a lot of leg, which is fun!

Both sizes got me (I got a 10 and 12). I went with the 12 because I was able to move and sit more comfortably. The 10 was fine but it was more skin tight I just wanted a looser feel! But comfortable and flattering! 

I was able to wear a normal bra under this which was a huge plus. The material is really beautiful and the draping does a great job of hiding my tummy pooch. Also, I was thrilled that it gave me some shape at this hips which I need (I have a boxy, athletic build). Loved it. Would definitely rent again. 

Runs small. I normally wear a size 4 and the size 6 barely fit. It is tighter and shorter than I would have liked.

I normally wear a size 10, and ended up wearing the size 12 just because it zipped up perfectly (I didn’t even try the 10 on). The only downside is the dress is a little short so I felt I was constantly pulling it down in the front. Even with it being short I would definitely rent it again! 

Overall I really liked this dress!! I got a 4 and a 6 and a few days before my event I tried them both on and they both fit fine, although the top of the 6 was a little loose. Then on the day of my event I tried them both on again and the 4 felt a little snug, so I went with the 6 and was glad I did. Both the 4 and the 6 were very low cut in the armpit/side boob area though, so I couldn’t wear a normal bra without the side of my bra showing. That was a little annoying as I chose this dress specifically so I could wear a normal bra with it, so since I couldn’t wear a regular bra with it, that’s the main reason I’m giving the dress 4 stars instead of 5. But I used some boob tape and a sticky bra and made it work. FYI, the top of the dress was a little bit loose on me while the bottom/butt area was very form-fitting—I usually wear Nike Pro shorts under dresses but this dress was too form-fitting in the back to do so. I’m just under 5’1” without heels and the length was totally fine on me (FYI, the 6 was a little longer than the 4). Also, this is definitely a “standing” dress—the dress rides up a lot when sitting, and it also rides up just a little bit when walking, so sit carefully and remember to tug the dress down every now and then when you’re walking (which wasn’t that big of a deal to me personally, but just sharing so others are aware). The fabric is thick and a nice weight, and such a beautiful color!! The draping is also very flattering. This dress was a perfect choice for the late-September cocktail wedding I went to. Overall, I felt great in this dress and got SO many compliments all night, so despite the dress not fitting me like a glove, I made it work and was really really happy with this one!! Would recommend! I tried to provide pics at a few angles—hope they help!

This dress is perfect. I would buy it in every color if I could.

Wore this to a charity event. Great mini length for petites. I sized up which was perfect. The bows were a bit much but super cute and sexy nonetheless. Lots of compliments. Really highlighted my arms! I might consider wearing a strapless bra next time as my straps kept peeking out. 

This dress was soooo pretty! It complimented my shape and I received so many compliments! I loved it!

I wore it for a work event and received lots of compliments! It’s true red, a little on the short side, I’m 5’3 and don’t know if I would’ve felt comfortable wearing heels. I wore a strapless bra, I tried a regular bra but the straps kept showing. Definitely size up one size.. one size up for me was a snug fit but still comfortable. I ate a good bit and didn’t feel like the knot detail attracted attention to my belly, in fact I think it was a great distraction being on the side 

Very nice dress.  I wore it to a red dress gala and it was perfect.  I'm 5'1 and thought it was the perfect length but would be short on someone taller.  I wore the 4 and it was fitted but still comfortable.  

I got many compliments at a Valentine’s party. The back cuts into the center a little making most bras show in the back. I was able to insert bra pads into the front and the dress was tight enough to keep them in place. 

The length wasn’t too short, and it was an overall stylish dress.  

Perfect work Christmas Party dress.  Lots of compliments, and rent the runway is going to get alot more customers from my telling everyone where I got it.

This dress is SO flattering! I am 5'2", 110lbs and a 32B size and the 2 was the perfect fit. The tulip hem makes my legs look much taller than their petite length, and it was perfect for a December party! I love that the bows are faux wrapped, so I did not have to worry about them shifting while dancing. 

Very flattering fit! The cut and draping of this dress made my figure look more curvy than normal. Fit true to size. I got so many compliments!

Wore this to a formal “Monte Carlo” networking event. I’m in between a size 10 and 12 and the 12 fit perfect. The draping on the front hid my stomach very well. It is a bit short when you sit down so just beware. I’m 5’4.5” 155lbs for reference.  

Beautiful dress got so many compliments. I ordered a zero & a 2 - wore two. But im larger  bust, 4 might have been a slightly better fit but this was perfect for the night! 

I didn't end up wearing this dress because it was a littttle tight. I'm usually an 8 but took a risk with the 6. I could've worn it but I wouldn't have been totally comfortable. It's a classic cocktail dress and if it was a little looser I would've loved it.

Like the other reviewers, I loved the dress and got lots of compliments! I ordered the 2 and the 4 (I'm usually an XS) but I should have tried the 6. The 4 fit, but it was very short on me and the ribcage was a big snug. It was what I'd call a "standing up dress" rather than a "sitting down dress." But it luckily it worked as a dancing dress! It was too short to wear my usual Spanx (with the boy legs), but luckily the draping over the tummy was concealing so I was fine.

I wore this stunning dress to a bat mitzvah, and I would absolutely rent it again! I rented sizes 4 and 6, and though both looked good, I went with the 6 just for a bit more room. I think this dress would flatter pretty much all body types...I was able to wear my normal bra, and the strategically placed gathered fabric hides any imperfections. I received many compliments...I basically became the unofficial spokesperson for Renttherunway.com. Do yourself a favor and order this flattering dress! You'll feel comfortable and confident all night!

This dress is perfect! Was saucy without being too revealing. The bow at the waist is very flattering and keeps the stomach area from being skintight. Could see this being flattering on many body types. Will definitely be renting again
