Last minute order for a formal, only got 38 (no 40 available) The size 38 fit pretty well but maybe 40 would give a bit more room for the chest area. Got so many compliments and definitely worth it!! 

This is a very forgiving dress. I would size up if you have a larger chest or arms. The waste to bottom is very forgiving. I would rent this again. Warm material / forgiving material. I had received so many compliments. Sexy but classy. 

I wore this dress to my work holiday party and it worked perfectly! There is a layer beneath the lace that goes up to your chest, so only lace on the upper collarbone & arms is actually see-through. This layer covered my chest and it covered cleavage too, which was excellent. I was very comfortable in it at work party. I could dance, move around, and raise my arms very easily. I usually wear a 2 or 4, (2 = 38, 4 = 40 I believe based on the size conversion). Last minute, the 38 was unavailable, so I only had the 40 (plus backup dresses) but this 40 fit perfectly and I ended up wearing this one. Also, the fabric from which the dress is made is absolutely gorgeous. I could tell just from feeling the dress and trying it on that it was made fabulously.

Love love loved this dress!!! It was sent to me as a backup because something happened with my original RTR backup dress.  You'll notice the left side is bumpy, as there was an issue with the zipper.... when I contacted RTR, they told me it was from overuse, were very apologetic and reimbursed me. Needless to say, I did some major work with safety pins to smooth the zipper down and wore it anyway because I loved it so much! Thick material, well made!  Compliments all night!  Thanks for the amazing service, RTR! 

This dress fit comfortably and nicely emphasized my waist while having enough room for my chest. Loved it.

Perfect cocktail party dress for any fall or winter occasion. This style runs true to size and the material has some stretch. Being that it is fitted at the natural waist, I would suggest going up a size as a back up. 

I wore this to a Christmas dinner party for work.  High quality fabric, very well made dress.  Stretchy, snug material that was extremely comfortable and flattering. Couldn't have been happier with this dress. 

I rented two dresses for an upcoming wedding in Napa and when one of my backup sizes didn't arrive, I was able to rent this gorgeous Blumarine dress I had seen several times before. I originally ordered in the 46, not sure how big/small it ran. It was certainly big once I tried it on, but I could have gotten away with it. I happened to be at the Chicago RTR store and it was my lucky day that on the rack was the size 44 in the same dress! It fits perfectly, is flattering and is super comfortable (also photographs well). Would recommend this anyone who needs a dress for any occasion that is semi-formal!

The zipper is located on the side under the arm. Which is great because it is concealed, however it was almost impossible to get it to move up or down. I had the issue on both sizes of the dress I was sent. It wouldn't get stuck in the fabric, just itself. Besides the zipper issue it was a very cute look. 

The dress is impeccably made, the structure makes the dress a stand out.  I received a ton of compliments, and it is very flattering.  The arms were a touch tight, but nothing that was uncomfortable.  You can tell the reason this dress is expensive, owing to the quality and the quality shows.  

it is nice, but i also found it to be a little too conservative. i think this wld be more appropriate for someone attending a very conservative event, i found it to look a bit matronly on me, but that's just preference. i'm typically a 4 and the 42 fit well. i didn't need a bra and the dress was comfortable throughout. there is a bit of stretch in the waist, but not a lot. hit a touch above the knee. lace got itchy at times, but i made it through the day.
