This was the perfect dress for a black tie event. It is a timeless style. Also very nicely tailored…holds you in in all the right places
Got so many compliments on how stunning my fit looked. Fit just right.
LOVE this. Wore it while MC’ing a charity gala, and it fit like a glove without being too tight. I was comfortable all night, even on the dance floor later on! I did wear 3-4” heels with it, as it’s a long, but just go with the regular 4 if you don’t wanna wear tall heels (the 4 was true to size). Seriously can’t go wrong with this beauty, got so many compliments all night.
I ordered the 14L and the 16L and the 14 fit so good I’m tall and I felt like the length of the dress was perfect even with my heels. It’s nice and thick so it kept me warm during the outside wedding ceremony. The bottom is very straight though so it did make dancing a little difficult but I’d definitely rent again!
After a failure to find a dress, I last minute rented this Wednesday to be delivered Thursday to leave Friday for a Saturday wedding. There was only one size left so I went with it. Wow, it was the perfect dress for a black tie wedding! I was so comfortable, didn't wrinkle, and felt like I met the black tie dress code at a party where people were dressed to the tens! I rented petite because that's all that was available. I would probably rent regular if I rented again
Beautiful fit and very comfortable! I danced all night in this dress. It was a little on the long side but after I put some heels on it worked just fine.
It was between this dress and the Keepsake No Control dress, which initially was my first choice. But this dress is so classic and also has the gorgeous off-the-shoulder detail — I’m so glad I wore it! So many compliments. It fit like a glove.
Dress was very comfortable to wear with the exception of the neckline. It kept unfolding but still looked cute honestly. Super flattering in the waist / butt area.
I am glad I rented this dress. The sleeve part was a little confused at the beginning. I am about 120 pounds 5.2" and I wore the 2R because they didn't have the petite in stock. It was a little long for me but with great high heels it wasn't too bad. I am sure if they had the 2P in stock would have been perfect.
The dress was a great fit I was nervous about ordering a size 0P but it was true to size and I didn’t feel like it was squeezing me in. I was comfortable all night, which is the sign of a perfect dress.
This dress fit like a Va Va Voom glove. I'm 5'9 and wore 3 1/2 inch stilettos and it hit exactly at floor length. The fabric has some stretch so it was quite comfortable to wear. I wiggled into it from the bottom up. I wore a high waisted shaper and a strapless bra. Minimal jewelry required. Loads of compliments and approving glances. This was actually an RTR sent alternative replacement dress as the one I had reserved had been returned damaged with no time to fix. Good job RTR!
This dress fit like a glove. Some reviews address the tight sleeve, but it's not a deal killer. The fabric is high quality and stretchy, which I loved. Would definitely recommend.
I received so many compliments on this dress! It was a perfect fit. Made of substantial fabric with a little stretch and a nice lining, I did not need shapewear, just an ordinary strapless bra. Where other dresses at the event had more embellishments, mine drew attention for its simple elegance and flattering silhouette. It took a few tries to get the sleeve right. Hint: put on the dress and zip it up BEFORE inserting your right arm into the sleeve. It pained me to return this one!
Great fit but a little long, I had to get pretty high heels to make for it, and fabric seemed to get heavier and fall by the end of the night.

I was concerned at first b/c it was my backup dress and when I tried it on the folds on the chest laid a little awkward and there was an opening because it seemed stretched too tight. But when I went to wear it, that didn’t seem to be a problem. Loved the stretchy material and I felt glamorous and got lots of compliments all evening. Shapewear is a must for me anyway. I would deduct half a star if I could but only because I would have preferred it to be longer. (The long size wasn’t available.) I’m 5’9” and I wore 3-4in heels so just a touch more length would have been good. Would definitely rent again in longer length!
This dress created a lovely silhouette. I felt regal.
Nice fabric was a little long but overall really pretty dress. Classic!
Wore this to a black tie wedding and felt great in it. Similar to other reviews, I tried it on initially and thought the sleeve was super tight but the strap across needs to go UNDER the arm that has a full sleeve and then it fits beautifully. The fabric is thick so you’d be hot in this for most summer weddings but this event was in the 60s and I was very comfortable.
This dress is the ultimate LBD - formal edition. Wore this to a black-tie private party and received so many compliments! Pros: The fit is amazing (I tried the 0P and 2P; 2P was too loose at the bust and longer overall while 0P fit like a glove) due to the stretchy neoprene material which sucks you in at all the right places while still being super comfortable. I wore Spanx to streamline the belly area and 3” heels to keep the hem above the floor. The neckline detail is so unique and the one shoulder kept the dress up securely. Just make sure you put the armband side on correctly, it shouldn’t feel tight! Cons: It is hard to walk in (no slit) but I would just pull up the hem if I needed to walk faster than a shuffle! No problems sitting or dancing. Due to the neckline, it is harder to raise the arm that the armband is on but wasn’t really a big deal. So very tempted to purchase this dress! RTR, please give us a bigger discount code!
This dress was stunning. The material felt very high quality and fit the "black tie" attire of the wedding I went to. The sleeve was a little tight on me but it wasn't so bad I couldn't wear it. This dress was very flattering and I got lots of compliments.
Wore 16R with 3 inch heels, length was great! Comfortable fit, could not wear a bra with straps, had to resort to a bandeau. Great option for those who have large breasts. The material is a bit stretchy and I was also able to wear spanx under giving a seamless look. Tons of compliments!
This dress fit like a glove with comfortable thick fabric that hugs in all the right places. Only downside was the sleeve was a bit tight!
The right sleeve was a little tight but otherwise the look was perfect for the event!
The fit was perfect! The length was perfect with a 3” heel. I felt like a princess and got so many compliments. It is supposed to be worn somewhat on the shoulder for one side but I should have used tape to keep it in place. Paired with deep green colored green & gold earrings and dark green purse. Tiny gold necklace. I seriously wanted to purchase this dress I loved it so much!
I loved this! The material is stretchy and pretty thick, perfect for a fall wedding. The fabric thickness and structure meant it was very forgiving (no spanx required) and the arm meant I didn’t have to spend the whole night pulling it up, like I usually do with strapless dresses. I got a ton of compliments and was comfy all night. The only thing would be the length—I’m 5’4” and wore 2” heels and the dress would have been too short with anything higher, so tall girls might want to take their shoes into consideration when renting.
Wore for a formal event I was worried it'd be too long but with heels was fine. A little weird to get on and no slit so you have to kinda lift to walk but was very pretty and comfortable.
Great dress. Holds you in. Well made
So this was my FIRST RTR experience and what a way to begin! I rented this dress for a black tie wedding in June. The dress fit like a glove. I felt confident, sexy, comfortable, and at ease all night! I got sooo many compliments. It’s classic, flattering, and despite it being a neutral black it will absolutely make you stand out in a crowd. Highly recommend!
I LOVED this dress. It fit me perfectly and was extremely flattering (I’m a soft gamine type). Hit my curves in all the right places. I had to reference the listing to get the sleeves right (there’s a weird band around the chest that I mistook for part of the sleeve. Way more comfortable once I had it on right). I loved the asymmetrical neckline and the “neoprene” fabric was very comfortable and stretchy. (Don’t think neoprene like wetsuit. It was more like a thick synthetic knit). Length was perfect with heels. Perfect for a vintage theme gala. Rent this dress.
This dress was actually my back up, but I loved it more than my first choice! I’m normally a size 10, but wore a 14. I think the 10 would have been too small, but the 12 would have been prefect. I’m just glad the 14 worked too! The material is thick so I didn’t need a bra! I’m 5’ 5” and the length was perfect with a 2 1/2 inch heel. The only negative is that I quite couldn’t figure out how to make the top part remain folded over. But even when not folded correctly, the dress still looked good!
Fabric is stretchy, thick, and neoprene feeling with a slight sheen. I felt secure enough in the top to not wear a bra (which I NEVER do!). I’m 5’4” and wore 2” heels, but 3-4” would’ve been perfect. Tip - the strap that folds over needs to go underneath the sleeve. It doesn’t come this way on the hanger and was painful until I figured that out. Size 2 was a little big in the waist (I’m 25”), but the 0 would’ve been too tight in the hips (I’m 35”) for comfy dancing.
The only thing to note is the right arm is a little tricky, it looks like a lot of people wear it wrong from looking at the photos. Look at the model and be sure you flap the right sleeve down and make sure there isn’t a gap.
I’m 5’9” so I wore the 6L size which worked perfectly for a fall wedding we attended. I wore 3 inch heels and the dress was still long enough and was able to dance the night away without any issues. As other reviewers have mentioned the one sleeve is very small almost to the point of cutting off circulation if you hold your arm up too long so that is definitely a design flaw.
Material, fit, wearability…all 5 star. My first RTR and it couldn’t have been a better experience. Only positive comments and I could have slept in it. It was that comfortable.
Great dress, perfect for black-tie wedding.
Took me three tries to figure out the arm band - but the advice of another review landed: if the arm band is too tight, you’re doing it wrong. After I figured that out, this dress was the perfect option for a black tie wedding. Instantly made me feel put together and classy. It was comfortable and didn’t require many adjustments, although the hanging loops did have to be tucked away with a safety pin.
