This was my second time renting and wearing this dress. I wore it in 2021 in a size 12. I am much smaller now and still figuring out my new size. I rented an 8 this time and could have worn a 6, for the purpose of where the neck line sits. The straps had a little gapping if I didn’t have the neckline/ strapless bra lined up just right, or danced a lot. Otherwise this dress fits like a glove if you know exactly your size. Great movement. Absolutely love it and would wear it again.

Loved this dress!!! I have a hard time finding something that fits nicely, that’s comfortable, and makes me feel confident. This dress was all the above!! Highly recommend for curvy girls like me. BTW-I also shy away from long dresses, so if you’re on the fence, give this one a try.  

I wore this to a wedding I was performing in. The length: Im 5'3" & wore flats. Since the hem is asymmetrical, it felt easy to walk & not trip. The material feel substantial BUT not too heavy. It'd be great for any season. The straps were a lil long because I have a short torso. So, I wore a bra with lace detail & it looked part of the design. The ruching concealed my midsection nicely. I didn't feel like I "HAD" to wear spanx. I got complimented a lot. It helped me feel classy & sexy. Plus, the back goes all the way up. No need to find a special bra. I highly recommend renting!!!

I rented this dress for a Black Tie affair and it was perfect! I ordered the 6R with the 4R as a back up. I ended up wearing the size 4, and it still had a little room to give, but in a flattering way. This dress was comfortable and I felt beautiful in it. I definitely recommend!

Material is great and design is flattering, hid my tummy without shapeware perfect fit.  Loved it. 

Currently 32 weeks and wore this to a black tie wedding. Was very comfortable all things considered. Straps a little long but I am short waisted. 

Wore 7 months pregnant for a formal event and felt comfortable all night long! From sitting to the dance floor - The dress has really nice stretch! 

Very very pretty dress. I rented it for my friend that is about a size larger than me and definitely a different build, so ignore the size profile attached to my review. She loved the dress though and it was so flattering. 

Easy to wear a bra, length was great for my 5'5" frame, 12 ran just a tiny bit loose. 10 may have worked as well. 

I’m curvy with big hips, big thighs, and big arms/shoulders. I wanted a dress that would be forgiving but fun, and not too revealing. I wore this to a black tie event and loved it! It was very comfortable and flattering - and I was able to wear an actual BRA with it! I love the bunching on one side - it gave it an extra fun flair. Highly recommend this if you’re looking for formal but comfortable and fun! FYI - though the dress fit me well, the straps and top were loose, so I wore a bra with it which gave me that extra support and confidence. The straps didn’t move too much at all (I did a dance test!) 

I ordered this dress to wear to a black tie optional wedding in the fall and I didn't end up wearing it but it was a great option. The material is on the thicker side that you get with nicer dresses but it's stretchy which makes it more comfortable and form fitting. I don't have a bra on in the picture but for peace of mind I probably would've worn pasties with it. Highly recommend 

So everyone’s reviews are spot on- it’s a thicker fabric but not necessarily hot to wear. The fabric is stretchy so I did have a little fear of it sliding down a TINY BIT. I put fashion tape under the armpit for extra security. You can also easily wear a normal bra with this and not worry about it showing. The 2 fit great overall. The dress just touched the ground when I wore 3 inch heels. Everyone LOVED this dress!!! Definitely would rent again 

Really great dress for a wedding, super flattering!

I have a size AA chest but wide hips and this dress fit tightly in all the right places. The drape was very beautiful and flattering, and the material was thick and looked elegant and expensive. It was also comfortable. 

I was the professional photographer for the United States of America Pageant nation competition and needed to dress up for the event, but I also needed to comfortable and be able to move around while working. This dress was perfect for that. It looked elegant, was a great fit that was super flattering and was easy to work in. I got several compliments and would definitely either rent this again or purchase it to keep. I would HIGHLY recommend this dress! 

This is the second time I’ve rented a black halo dress and they have yet to fail me! Great fabric and  flattering fit. I think I could’ve sized down one but still so happy with this rental. 

Beautiful well made dress. Great quality, very comfortable and very flattering. I was 1 month postpartum here and the dress felt great. It accentuates the belly area a bit but I didn’t feel fat at all. I would definitely recommend this dress. 

I used RTR for the first time, as I was flying in from Europe to attend my brother’s wedding in California. I’m not very familiar with US sizing, but I’m usually a size 12 in the UK or 40 in EU sizing. This would generally put me at around an 8 in US sizing, but based on the recommendations I sized down to a 6. The fit recommendations were perfect, the dress did not feel too tight or too loose. The dress comes in one length. I’m 5’4” and wore the dress with 3” heels, which was just right. The fabric is thick with a little stretch, which along with the ruching, covers any lumps and bumps quite well. I wore it on a sunny Spring day in Southern California and felt fine, but on a hotter day the weight of the fabric may have been too much. The full back and thick straps meant that I could wear a bra (a must for me!) without worrying about the straps or band being exposed. The square neckline is really flattering, but does cut low for some fuller cup bras. I opted to wear it with a Skims seamless sculpt brief body suit, which lifted and nipped in all the right places without being visible. The thigh slit is fun, but it’s low enough to not be outrageous, which was also important for a family wedding. Paired with the flare detail alongside the split, it added a fun bit of drama and movement to the dress. The quality of the fabric and detailing was very high. I felt super glam in it without sacrificing my comfort, and received lots of compliments. I was tempted to purchase it, but I wouldn’t have anywhere else to wear. I would definitely encourage others to try it.

This dress was elegant, and so flattering thanks to the ruching and draping of the fabric. I wore shorter heels (maybe 3’’ or something) with the dress. 

Loved wearing this. I ordered a backup one size larger but should have requested the backup in a size smaller. I ended up wearing the size I ordered/expected but would have liked to know if the smaller would have been a little more snug. The material gives enough to stretch and has dealing that is ultra flattering and forgiving! I received tons of compliments and was comfortable all night! 

Let me first say the RTR team is unmatched. I ordered a dress that looked amazing in the pictures, but on my complexion it was dull. The fit was awkward. I had one day until my event. RTR helped me find an available style. We worked together, it was done so quickly. Five stars just for the customer service. First, this was the start of the evening of 5 hours. I was comfortable, the material is heavy, so perfect for cold weather. I usually wear a size 2R or 4R, but the 0R was the best size, I would say it runs on the smaller side. The dress exudes a timeless elegance reminiscent of iconic brands like Chanel. Personalize your look by adding accessories to truly make it your own.

I’m 5’2” on a good day, so I felt like the straps were slightly long (the 0S was not available). Length was good with 4 inch heels, but maybe just a hair long. Comfy fit - not too tight. Very elegant! Good quality fabric.

I’m such a big fan of this dress! The fabric is stretchy and thick. You can wear a normal bra and spanx. I got lots of compliments at the wedding we attended. I would highly recommend. True to size. 

Fits perfectly, heavier material, flattering ruching. Love how the neckline is like a tank top and doesn't require a special bra. Such an easy and versatile dress.

I am about 132 pounds normally wear size 4 to 6, and I got a size 2 in this dress.  I would definitely size down.
This dress fits amazing and perfect.  One small downside is that it is a thick and heavy dress, but I just love the way it looked.  It fit like a glove.  Highly recommended 

Shoulders were a little loose for me, but otherwise this dress is very curvy girl friendly and super comfortable. 

Love this dress! Fabric was very comfortable. I'm fairly short at 5'3 and was wearing about 3 inch heels and the dress was still barely touching the ground. Had no problems walking in it. Busty ladies might want to be careful with the neckline if you're night involves dancing but I was easily able to wear a bra with this. 

This dress fits like a dream!! It’s more form fitting that I typically wear, especially after two kids. I felt confident, the dress hugged my curves in a flattering way and was comfortable to dance in. Bonus - you can wear a regular bra! I was sad to return and will definitely rent again!

This dress was absolutely amazing.  I rented it for our niece's formal wedding, and I received SO many compliments.  It was well made, fit perfectly and was forgiving in all the right places.  Both the 4 and the 6 fit, but the 4 was a better fit.  My only bit of negative feedback was it was a little long, and I wore 3.5 inch heels.  I does appear that this may have been a compliant before, because it looks like the bottom of the dress was cut.  I noticed this when I was sitting at the wedding.  I checked the size 6 when I got home and it appears it had been cut as well.  

I wore this to a formal wedding in September and it was perfect for the occasion. I was looking for a dress that could help hide recent weight gain due to my pregnancy (I was 7 weeks pregnant when I wore this) and this one worked because of the ruching and heavy fabric. The dress definitely runs big- I’m usually an 8 and wore a 6 and it fit great. I got a lot of compliments on this one! 

This dress is amazing! I am 9 months pregnant and it for beautifully! Love this dress 

The dress fits all the right places. If you’ve got curves, there was enough coverage in the bust area, and the drape in the front conceals a lot. I wore a VS bra, Spanx & 3” heels. Boob tape wasn’t used but could help with keeping the front from plunging down a bit. I wore this to a summer wedding. The dress is a bit heavy and thick but it has great stretchy fabric. My customer service agent listened and said this was the one, after trying 3 dresses.

Style and fit were liberating!
 I am 6 feet tall and the length was perfect with at at least a 4 inch heel.
