I wore it for my birthday party with tights and heeled booties and it was the perfect outfit!

I wore this dress to a November wedding in Michigan. It was warm, cozy and trendy. It was also very weather appropriate and appropriate for the winter event. I ordered a size 8 and a size 10 I ended up having to wear the size 10, even though I am normally a size 8.

I was so comfortable all night. Fits well. Great dress!

I have a classic hourglass shape with large hips so I ordered down a size from my usual size to see if it would help ensure the layering on the hips did not add girth. 

I’m so glad I ordered down a size - it was perfectly cinched at the waist and flared out just slightly at the hips, making it super flattering. The deep v-neck is so elegant and flattering. 

I wore sheer black tights underneath since the slit is so high in the front and I’m glad I did. When sitting down, the slit goes very high up on the thighs. 

I’m obsessed with this dress and received countless compliments. If you’re thinking about renting it, do it!

Warm enough to not need a jacket in 50 degree weather. Formal and feminine and made me feel so good about myself but had enough modesty that nothing was hanging out. I chose size 12 over the size 10 for a more comfortable fit at the opera. 10 fit too but was more snug in the bust. 

Obsessed with this dress—it was so figure flattering and I got so many compliments! 

Absolutely stunning dress. The fabric drapes beautifully and the slit is just right, elegant and flattering without being overdone. It hugs and accentuates the hips perfectly, giving a confident, sculpted silhouette. Felt incredible wearing it and received nonstop compliments all night. Couldn’t recommend this more for a formal event.

Loved this dress. I felt amazing at my event. 

Wore this to a formal affair and worked great- wore my regular bra, slit in from is not too high, but you do have to be mindful of how you sit.  Heels made for t fall beautifully,  Fabric is very soft and cozy- perfect for a winter event 

This was a beautiful and very flattering gown. I wore it for the gala at my job. I wanted to look great but still work appropriate. This was perfect and also really easy to move around in. I never felt like I needed to adjust anything. Would definitely rent again so more people can see me in it! 

I'm pretty flat chested so from the side this looked wonky. If it was extra cold and I didn't have any other options for my event itll do just fine

High quality fabric. Definitely a heavier, winter dress. Beautiful slit!

This dress was great. I wore it to a great gatsby themed gala and it was super comfortable and stretchy. I could wear a normal bra with it, which was awesome too. 

The slit is a little weird. Right up the front. The 4p fit, but I decided to go up a size so there would be more material at the slit opening. I also wore black tights and I feel like that helped the weirdness of the slit placement.  Overall, great dress and I didn’t feel weird about the slit the night of the gala bc of my “fixes”. 

Nice formal dress for wedding or gala. Thick material so better for cold weather events. Good cut for shorter people; no long train. Great stretchy material for dancing all night. 

The dress is beautiful but the slit is ill placed.  It's a wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen, as it's centered and very high.  Preview photos made it look more offset from center than it actually is.  Great if standing still, but if you walk, you're going to flash people.

I got this in the 12 & 14 for NYE at work. I wore the 12 and honestly I’m surprised it fit so well, it’s really forgiving. The 14 just hung weird. I gave it 4 stars because it really flared at the hips on me and the slit is straight up the front so I was constantly pulling it down while walking. That aside, it’s gorgeous, warm, I was able to wear flats, and I got tons of compliments all night. 

I didn't like the curtains when we had photos. Dark background kind of blended with the dress making it look frumpy instead of flattering. Great color nonetheless less.

Wanted to love this, but the waist was so short it was basically an empire waist and look at the sleeves! Ha! Meanwhile, the hemline was at my ankle. 
Also, I have no bum and this made me look curvy, so girls who are well endowed should be aware.

I ended up wearing a different dress. This one was fine, but it did seem to lack the formality for a black tie event. It fit kind of odd, but, tbh, that was expected from the photos (the front slit, the bulkiness around the hips). It was very comfortable though! Particularly in the chest. I'm not large chested, bur I felt extremely secure and supported by this dress without a bra.

I ordered this for as an option for a winter wedding, it came early thankfully as it had a very odd fit on my body type (tall, apple shaped). The slit was centered and very high. Loved in the picture on the model, but really didn’t work for me. 

With all the ruching at the hips, this dress was not complementary to my figure. 
It seems that a lot of other people liked it, but it really did not do me any favors

This dress was a dream for my 8-month pregnant belly. Worn in December for a maternity photo shoot. I sized up for the bump, but it fits TTS. Great for petites, too.

This is a beautiful, elegant dress. In almost all lines, I wear a size four or a six. But I have found that for Black Halo, I need an 8. The 8 fit perfectly in this dress.

Stretchy and soft, and a beautiful color.

I'm 5'8" and the Long was perfect with heels.

Fit is perfect, hits every curve, and even covers my FUPA. I didn't have to wear a shaper under, so this was a gem in my book

I'll admit that when I first tried this on at home I was unsure and totally nervous about wearing it but after some encouragement from friends I decided to wear it to a wedding as a guest and so glad I did. I felt fabulous in an old Hollywood glam way and got many compliments.
