I loved this dress! However I'm not a huge fan of strapless and it was small on the bust (I'm a full C and it JUST fit) so I did not wear it to my event. Definitely not the best dress to wear to dancing and run around in, but it is very beautiful! The fabric was thick and had a little stretch to it. 

Dress was beautiful, even though sizing was bizarre. I'm 5'9, 145# & 32d and usually an 8 in in their dresses. Based on reviews that the bodice was not friendly for busty girls, I ordered an 8R and 10R (normally would go with long size, but none were available on these dates & none of the tall girl reviews complained  about length, so I rolled the dice...) 

The 8R was way too snug on top, to the point where the dress looked short on me bc I had to pull it way up to cover the girls. 8R was also a little snug in the body, but mostly bc it was pulled up too high. And even though it was the next size up, the 10R kept sliding down bc it was too big on top in terms of the rib cage/band, even though the cup size was a better fit and so was the length/fit throughout. Ended up wearing the 10R and pinning the bodice to a padded strapless bra and using a ton of double stick tape. No wardrobe malfunctions, except that the ribbons for hanging the dress kept peaking out (maybe bc the top was still too big?). In any case, it was super comfortable and I got a lot of compliments. Overall, very happy, just wish the sizing was not so extreme. The fit definitely felt like I went two sizes up, not one. 

I wore this dress to a wedding. It was a back up dress and my original choice was back ordered. It was very fitted but a little tight in the chest. Got a lot of compliments. Gorgeous shade of red!

Tight in bodice and bust. Maybe go up one size. Otherwise, great fit, fabric, and look! 

Pros: super classy and unique (although it is a "plain" dress the ribbing and seams of the dress hit your body perfectly). The length for me was decent. I should've gotten an 8L but the 8R worked (I was unfortunately in a boot because I broke my foot, so that made the length a little awkward, but if you were going to wear flats you'd be okay....still would've chose the 8L though)

Cons: SUPER SMALL IN BUST. Can't stress that enough. In the beginning of the ball it was hard to breathe in because the ribbing of the dress did not give what so ever (I'm an A/barely a B and it was TIGHT) but towards the end my body got used to it. 

This dress was given to me in awful condition. It was just thrown in the tote they delivered it in and I'm positive it had not been washed since the last time someone rented it- I work for BCBG...rent the runway you did not take time to steam nor throughly clean this dress. Luckily since I do work for BCBG my wonderful company was able to help a sister out. If you do rent from RTR make sure you receive it at least 2 days before your event to make sure it has been properly cleaned and steamed. If I got it the night before I would have been SOL, because I would not have time to get it steamed. There were also multiple snags in this dress as well. Lucky for me nobody was photographing me professionally or actually looking closely at my dress- because there were a solid 7-8 different snags in the material. This particular dress should've been either fixed or retired. 

BUT despite it all I received multiple complements on my dress(: 


I normally wear a 6R but since that size wasn't available I went with the 6P. I was so nervous it wasn't going to fit but it couldn't have looked better. I wore flat sandals with the dress because it was the petite size. It ended up being the perfect length. The color is beautiful and the material is thick enough to be a little bit forgiving through the stomach area. The top does fit tighter so I didn't have to wear a bra. Overall beautiful dress and I'm so glad I chose this dress to wear to a black tie wedding!

I felt like Marylyn Monroe in this! I got complements from my sorority sisters all night. It does run a bit small, and if you are not into body con, this dress is not for you.  I usually wear an 8R but since I'm quite hour glass figured I needed to wear the backup 10R.  It's also quite busty so if you don't like cleavage I would wear a shoal.  

Overall very satisfied! This is my first time using RTR and I've had nothing but great things to say!  Will definitely use this service again!!

the red made me stand out and the shape really showed off my curves! I felt beautiful through the entire night! I was sad to take it off! I am 5'7" and got the Regular and it was pretty long on me. I wore flats, I didn't wear heels. Overall, a 9 out of 10 for this dress!

Really beautiful dress. Loved the color. Fell down a little bit, should have used more fashion tape. Overall very flattering. I wore a Nubra with this which gave a little extra cleavage. Pretty thick fabric. 

I am a petite person but I do have a natural chest on me. I wear a 34-C and the only con about the dress would be that it was super tight around the chest area. If you are petite and wear a C cup or below, you're golden. 

I loved the color and style of this dress! I thought I would need the 4 but after trying on in the 2 I think I was much better off. It did fall a bit short ( the tips of my shoes poked out a bit) but other then that I loved it and would recommend to anyone with a formal event coming up = ) 

This dress is so pretty! It fit me perfectly form the waist down and even the length was perfect with heels. I'm a little over 5'4" and wore a regular length. The only reason I didn't give this dress 5 stars is because I had to keep pulling it up as my bra kept peaking out, but other then that it was great! One of the pictures I attached you can see my bra to give you an idea. I have wider hips and a smaller bust so I had to wear a size up (I normally wear a size 6, but had to wear a size 8) to accommodate my hips. There's some boning in the bodice so I'd recommend going a size up if you have wider set hips. That part fit perfectly on me, but it kept falling down a bit up top. However, even with that, I absolutely love this dress! And although there were a lot of red dresses at my event, I felt like this one stood out in a great way!

Great color, definitely a eye catcher. Love the way it fits. This dress is very versatile in that you can dress it up or dress it down. I wore my dress somewhere in between with a simple gold charm necklace and leather jacket. An alternative I was considering was bold necklace with a wrap ..... but I wanted to have some fun with it after all. I would recommend this dress to anyone who is confident in their body type and wants to feel incredible :) 

Tight on the chest area! So if you have a bigger front, then I would get a size bigger! 

This ran small, and lower cut than I was expecting, and more of an orangey tomato red than a cherry red, but I think I looked great and got a ton of compliments.

The dress I tried on in-store fit perfectly with heels.  The one I received in the mail was a bit long but nothing that I couldn't get past by lifting the hem when I walked.  The fabric was heavy enough that there was no bulging, and the color is stunning.

This dress fit well, though the top was a bit showy. Probably not advised for those with a tummy.  Loved it for the event though. I felt like a movie star. 

I was nervous about this dress as some of the reviews said its not great for larger chests. I'm a 34D and my boobs have never looked better! If I could get the top of this dress as a bathing suit/top/bra I would wear it all the time. The color was stunning and I definitely stood out (in a great way) amongst the sea of black dresses.  I would highly recommend this dress and would rent it again! You will feel like a bombshell in this dress!

I normally wear a size 4 and the dress was a little big in the chest so I had to wear an extra padded strapless bra to keep it up. I would keep the dress if I could it was so amazing! 

The color was great but fitted very tight. Had a great time using RTR for the first time and will use them for next Ranger Ball. 

I loved this dress! I almost went with a back up dress since the fit was a bit small right at the waist/under the ribs, but it ended up working out for the event. The dress was gorgeous and I would rent it again, just maybe in a bigger size!

Also, Rent the Runway's customer service is FANTASTIC and helped me at every step when I was worrying about the fit. They sent me a backup which put me completely at ease, though I was really relieved that the dress ended up fitting ultimately!

Runs small only through chest. The rest of the dress runs true to size. Great fit, drape and weight. I had to wear this without a bra, otherwise it would have been too tight. That said, it was a perfect fit otherwise. I'm 5'6" and I wore a 3 1/2" heel. Length was perfect. Loved this! Rent it! 

Loved this dress! The color was stunning, the fabric was heavy, and it made my look amazing! I received so many compliments! It runs a little small and I probably should have worn one size up but it wasn't available. I was able to squeeze myself into this one but spent a lot of the night re-adjusting. It was worth it, though! Probably not the right dress for someone with a larger bust. Even though it had a bustier built in, it didn't give me the lift that I needed so I ended up wearing a bra. 

Fit true to size. The length was perfect for 4 inch heels so that was very helpful! It hugged my curves and was very flattering. The color was bright and fun for the spring! 

This dress is pretty much a show-stopper! Really beautiful and elegant, also R E D. I got a ton of compliments on it. Like a lot of the other reviews, I must say it is extremely tight in the chest area. Getting it zipped on my own was a challenge and I was a bit self-conscious about the tight fit in the chest-to-waist region, but once I was out and about it in, I was very happy. It's comfortable in the stomach area. Basically if you order this dress it would be a safe bet to have the back-up size to try, if possible.

THIS DRESS IS AMAZING! I was very worried about the length and it ended up being fine! I wore the 4Regular and it fit great. I couldn't wear a bra with it and it stayed up  without me having to pull it up every 2 seconds. I got so many compliments and it was super comfortable and easy to dance in! Its a must rent in my opinion!! great for weddings all year round! 

This dress runs true to size and I loved it! My butt is a little bigger so there was a little extra fabric in the back but overall the dress fit perfect! I really loved it and it's perfect for any special occasion. 

I initially rented the size 4 but immediately realized I could not wear it when it was delivered: the back hook was missing, a few stains lined the back, and part of the hem was ripped. We contacted Rent the Runway about this problem and they couldn't have been more helpful. The size 2 actually photographed much better that the size four and I felt so confident. The top is a bit small but not having to wear a bra with the bustier top was a plus. I would rent this dress again in a heartbeat. 

The boning in the dress left marks on my body but overall were part of what made it fit so nicely. 

Choose the size 4 because I didn't know if the boning would be a problem when I sat down but they were very close in size, the 4 was a bit longer but fit great with 4 inch heels. 

I wore this dress to a ball I decided to go to last minute, and it was absolutely stunning! It fulfilled the role of being the classic red dress, while still having its own unique flare. The stitching was intricate and gorgeous. I was one of those dresses that got more beautiful as you stared at it longer. 

This dress definitely has a strange fit. It was extremely tight of my ribs, but then ended up being slightly baggy on my stomach. Throughout the night I had to  re-situate the dress many times. I wouldn't recommend the dress to anyone who is large breasted. I am a 32A and even I felt uncomfortable with the way it pushed my breast up and together. I was just very worried that my breast were going to fall out of the dress the whole night. Despite my difficulties with the fit, the dress was still darling! I would most definitely rent this dress again. 

I loved this dress! I wore the 6L and not the 8L because the 8 was too large in the bust and the hip. There is good structure to the bodice of the dress so I was able to forgo a strapless bra, which was good because I did not have strapless that would not have peeked out of the top of the dress. I am 5'8" and the long was perfect with my heels. I received so many compliments on this dress, even from complete strangers. 

This was a backup dress. The dress I had originally rented was awful on me and too short. This was exactly what I wanted. Extremely glam! It hugged me everywhere in all the right places and made my hourglass figure look fantastic. It was a little big in boob area but it wasn't a problem. Over all one of my favorite rentals thus far!!

Very elegant dress. Simple but very classy and chic with the subtle seams across the bodice--it really added to the "curvy" appearance. The dress runs about 1 size too small, I'd say. Also, for women with bigger hips/bottom, I noticed that after walking a bit, the dress would ride up right above my hips (at my waist) and I would have to occasionally pull it back down. The back of the dress is also a bit longer than the front, and my hem was loose, so my heels kept catching onto the hem. The bodice, although small, held up nicely. No bra required! Overall--great dress!

I LOVED this dress. It is really long and tight. Big chested women beware...I have A cups and could not wear a bra. There is boning in the bodice which gets painful towards the end of the night but it will keep your posture in check. I wore 5 inch heels and the dress was still a few inches on the floor. I highly recommend and would rent again.

I really loved this dress for prom! The only con is that even with my average size chest, I was pulling it up all night and was pretty revealing. But other then that I adored it! It was simple but still stood out. I got lots of complements and one person said that I looked like I just stepped off the red carpet! I was nervous that I would look too pale in red but it actually looked nice with my fair skin and I think it would look really good with all skin tones. Overall, great dress and would recommend! 

It was really long even in heels and the prom was on the USS Midway so I had to were converse. The 6 fit perfect without a bra and the 8 was too big with one but 6 too small with one. Over all fit great and I wasn't always having to pull it up:)

The dress definitely ran on the smaller side. I have a large rib cage and had trouble zipping it at first, but once I got it zipped it fit great. The dress stayed up pretty much the whole night. The bottom did tend to drag a little, but other than that I would absolutely recommend it!

Beautiful fit, not the easiest to dance in.
