I think maybe a little short of formal black tie but definitely can dress up with this for a party

I chose to wear boob tape instead of finding an ideal bra to lift the girls up . But I was looking for something edgy yet still classy. Dress is ankle length with an about 5 layers of fabric. It definitely worked out great and wish I could add it to my closet collection. 

A stunning dress and perfect for a masquerade ball! This is high quality and fit me perfectly. The very low neckline and open sides still provided the coverage needed for a bigger bust.  I would defiantly rent again and recommend this to dress highly. I thought the dress was going to be too hot living in Florida but even with the velvet top and multi layered skirt It was perfect. 

Very low cut so had to wear a scarf as occasion was stuffy.  I would rent again 

Wore this to a friend's wedding and never have I received so many compliments! The dress fit like a glove and held its shape despite being a deep cut in the front (no boobs flying out on the dance floor!).

This was… odd. The neckline not lying flat and the dress feeling like it added shoulder padding and trying to billow outward on top and not only the tulle skirt made the silhouette look cheap and ill fitted, quickly learned this did not work in person. It felt so gaping, hard to wear, and not movement/dance proof. A shame because it could have been so timeless and elegant if proportionally different for me

Agree, wore the size down from what I usually wear. Got so many compliments. Definitely needed some boob and fashion tape but if you feel comfortable with low cut and some side cleavage the dress is comfortable and easy to wear. The dress skimmed the floor with no heel, so adding a heel prevented any dragging.

I absolutely loved this dress. It was comfortable and classic. Unfortunately, it ended up being 85 degrees on the day I had planned to wear it. Hoping I'll be able to rent it for an event in the future!

Loved the dress. A little warm, as there are layers and it is velvet, so not recommended for an outdoor summer wedding. Wore it with my chicken cutlets (boob cups? I don't know their formal name) as it is a low cut and low arm pits. 

Tons of compliments on this dress for Swan Lake at the NY Ballet! The top is velvet and has shoulder pads so gave me great shape while keeping me warm when it got chilly in the theater. 

I wore with ballet flats but would have been perfect with heels as well.

I wore a sticky bra with this as the arm pits and deep v would show a regular bra!

I ordered this so I wouldn't feel underdressed at a black tie optional wedding, and it was perfect for the occasion. A couple notes: I'm a true size 6, but the 4 fit me like a glove so size down! I needed boob tape to work the deep v, but it's easy to do because there's plenty of coverage in the front and back. It's long - I'm 5'4" and definitely needed heels. And last it was a warm to dance in, so if you're going to break it down on the dance floor maybe choose something else. 

I wore this for a black tie wedding, great style, fit well and super comfortable to have on all day. Length was great, I wore flats but would have also worked with heels

Such a gorgeous dress and really comfy. Wore it for a wedding at the Sydney Opera House. However, the chest is HUGE. I'm a 36DD and had tons of extra room. Needed tape to feel comfortable with the deep v and looseness of the top. 

Top is too open, low in front and low on side arms (side breast will show) gathering is placed so that it accents anything on your waist which is unfortunate. Didnt wear it.

This was not the dress for me. It was very low-cut and the sides didn’t quite cover entirely, so there was a lot of side-boob showing. The shoulder padding looked and felt awkward. It was also surprisingly difficult to zip up by myself. The length was nice (ankle length) and the velvet and tulle were soft.

So beautiful and flattering. The top is fairly structured, and the skirt is quite full and very flow-y. Highly recommend sizing down, especially if you are sometimes between sizes.

loved this dress! definitely need to get creative to strap the girls down but overall a huge win. others said this was too long. im 5'2" and the size 0 was the perfect length

I have never received so many compliments in my life - bride, wedding party, family friends, grandparents, random people at the bar afterwards. I absolutely loved this dress and I wish I had an excuse to wear it again. I normally wear a 6 and sized down based on other reviews and the 4 fit well. I loved the length hitting just above the ankle and felt like the neckline was sexy but still classy for a formal wedding. I used boob tape (easy to use given shoulder/back coverage) to perk the girls up a bit but could go without just as easily. Danced all night and was beyond comfortable. Rent her !!!!!

I should've sized down. I was worried the waist might be too tight but could've used a smaller size to keep everything snug on top

Cheers to 50 Years for my parents! This dress was the perfect mix of vintage cocktail chic (that stunning skirt!) and bold, sexy sophistication with its daring neckline. As a two time breast cancer survivor, I was a LITTLE nervous, but felt beautiful, too. (Yay for Hollywood Fashion Tape!) It made the celebration even more memorable!

Better be tall enough to handle this, otherwise perfect 

Loved this dress for a December wedding! It was so flattering and even more comfortable! 

This dress got a ton of compliments, so it looked great! A couple of things to note: 1. The fit on the bust is looser as other reviewers mention, but the waist is tighter so it feels a bit odd when you’re wearing it, but it’s nothing noticeable to others. 2. The black bodice kind of tapers out to a point on the hips, which accentuates them a bit; so if you’re self conscious about wider hips, you might not love this! It’s a very feminine fit. Overall, I like it! I wore the six and I’m 165 pounds and 5’4 (I’m rather muscular) and it fit well aside from the two comments, and people loved it!

Size down. I usually wear 8 in this brand and 6 was perfect. It was a bit too long and heavy for, otherwise I would have worn it. The cut is low with some side boob, which balances out how conservative the dress is. Need Adhesive Invisible Lift Up Bras and dress tape 

I didn’t realize it was velvet on the top but was so glad that it was! Perfect for a winter black tie wedding. The contrast in the material of the top and plunging neckline with the bottom of the gown is just gorgeous! I loved the waistline- very flattering 

Great black tie dress! Large in the chest area. 

Wore this for our annual Nutcracker outing! A beautiful dress, a little too large in the top. I’m a 34D - not small chested (and I have bigger upper arms), and even with fashion tape I had to readjust the shoulders and the deep V all night. It wasn’t too long or too tight or too loose in the midsection or skirt - beautiful movement and soft. I wore true flats (gold pointed toe Birdies) and I am not tall (5’4”) and was able to walk without issue; in fact I felt like I was floating. Overall a great dress that if I owned it, I would get the shoulders taken in a bit.
