This dress works very well for small/flatter body-types. I didn't need a bra with it's double lining, though my shoulders did need a little hem (which I used safety pins in the back).
I would say this was true to size, but for folks with curvy body-types, this will definitely run small. 

True to size- but a little short and a very high front slit for a semi formal work party.

I got so many compliments in this! I loved the neckline and cut of the shoulder areas- super slimming. I needed the 8 for the body of the dress, but the top was a touch small. I went braless and got a lot of side boob going on. Other than that, it was classy yet sexy. 

This dress was a gorgeous color and the cut is super unique - got several compliments. The downside is that it will twist as you sit, you do need to mess with it to keep the straps on/in place throughout the event, and it is pretty fitted. It will gather on the top and bottom of your belly so if you aren't comfortable with it gathering in those places it may not be the dress for you.

I took a chance and rented this dress (and one other one) for my first book launch party. It was absolutely perfect, fit amazing and made me feel amazing. The neckline is to die for. Fit perfectly, really well made and great material. Thank you RTR! 

I am 5'2" and 112 lbs - this was snug but fit well and felt good. I wore this to a rehearsal dinner and got lots of compliments. Really enjoyed the fit and color (a red wine,hint of purple to it). Would rent this again!!!

Really fun, fits well. It was my free backup option, and I was sad to not wear it, but it seemed a notch or two too formal for the awards dinner I was attending. I may rent it again if I have a more formal occasion!

This dress was very nice! It runs small and isn’t very forgiving but if you size up it’ll be fine. The slit is a little high which makes it awkward if you sit down. Other than that, the dress is very cute!

Make sure to fix the sleeve or you can get some serious side boob. Other than that, it's a perfect fabric weight, very comfy and the leg slit is prime.

This dress was classy and sexy and I got lots of compliments. I had to use dress tape to hold the shoulder straps in place, but overall this dress looked and felt great! 

This dress is beautiful. Fits small though. I normally wear a 6 and it was definitely snug. The cuts are very unique and the color is just stunning. 

Rented this for a holiday party. Definitely runs small. Usually a 0-2 but saw it runs small so rented a 2 and 4. 4 fit just right but I rush ordered the 6 overnight just in case. Try 2 sizes up. Straps are a bit odd too

Strings for the hanger were slightly annoying to put back into the dress throughout the night, I got a dress that had rips inside, you can tell it was worn down. Other than that, the dress fit really well and it was perfect for a formal affair. It had good stretch to it, and the shoulder didn’t fall down like I expected it to.

Fit well! Unique cut, high quality fabric, safe color making it perfect for various occasions. Will rent again! 

I wore this to a holiday work party and received so many compliments. I sized up as reviews suggested and it fit well. There was enough movement in the dress to break it down on the dance floor. 

Love the fit of this dress! The top sleeve on my shoulder was a little loose & kept falling off throughout the night but it was enough to handle. I got many compliments & the dress is more of a plum color in person which is what i needed! Would definitely rent again! 

The lining on the dress was a bit inconvenient because it would lay a little weird. I wore a strapless bra and the dress would shift and show the tan bra right under where the straps were...not a big deal though! Overall it runs a little small but I got a lot of compliments!

Beautiful color but the straps at the top of the dress didn't fit well. I had to twist them a bit to make it work. Not ideal for smaller busts. The slit is very high so be careful when you sit!

I vary between an 8 and 10 depending on cut of the dress. I'm an athletic build and have serious leg muscle! I got both an 8 and a 10! The 10 was huge! The 8 fit, however I didn't like how the bottom layer lining bunched. It made it difficult for the dress to lay evenly. The bunching seen on my stomach area is where the dress fit loose, and the slip didn't lay properly. Beautiful dress, both cut and color. Sizing and fit is just a bit off if you're a more muscular build. 

This dress was gorgeous for a fall wedding. The color is pretty spot on in the pictures (the venue I was at was a little low light), a gorgeous deep maroon. I am about 5'8", 34D with a 26" waist and I got my usual size 4 and a backup size 6 because reviews said it ran small. I went with the size 4 because the fabric does a great job of sucking in and smoothing out and was tight enough that I didn't have to wear a bra. The shoulder pieces are so beautiful and I loved how they looked in any position. If you're a person who doesn't like when dresses move a little, you may not like this. The hemline is a beautiful asymmetric and the slit wasn't too high and more on the side than the front, which helped me not feel so exposed. I got so many compliments on this dress and would 100% rent again!

Rented for a night out in Vegas. I ordered up as recommended with my second size and ended up wearing the larger of the 2. The 8 was a perfect fit (usually wear 6). Was a fun wear and would buy or rent again. Loved how I felt in it. 

The bust runs a little tight and it fits like a glove. Absolutely love this dress!

The dress was sexy, but as others stated it runs small, lining rolls over the top, and the shoulders piece needs to be adjusted frequently. It was a stunning dress if you don't move. Not made for dancing.

I originally ordered the 6 and it was just too tight. The 8 fit much better. It's such a unique dress, but was comfortable to wear throughout the night and dance in. 

The fit is true to size. It was still big in the middle on me but most dresses fit me that way. The slit, design and asymmetrical lines on this dress did it for me. I was very happy with this rental and would recommend! 

I absolutely loved the color of this dress. It runs pretty small, similarly to what most of the other reviews have said. If you're very curvy (unlike me :/), definitely size up because it was definitely a little bit tight in the chest area for me (since I'm more of a 2 there). The dress made me feel really slim and beautiful. I wore it to y sorority's formal and was able to dance the night away. I would definitely rent again.

This dress runs SO SMALL - let me make that very clear. I am normally a 2 and ordered a 2 and 4. The 4 just barely fit, I would've gone up to a 6. The slit doesn't sit normally on the leg, and the fabric puckers. This fabric has NO STRETCH and a difficult zipper. Though the dress still looked good, it was incredibly tight and I was uncomfortable most of the night. The straps also fall down and do not have an even fit to the tightness of the dress. Would not rent again unless I went up a size.

I loved this dress! I wore it for new years and it was a crowd pleaser! It was fun and a little sexy with the slit, but not overly revealing with everything fully covered up top! 

Pros: 
Cut / style looks exactly as pictured! Very unique dress that received lots of compliments. Very elegant style that also shows off your curves. 

Cons: 
I'm usually a size 6, but needed to wear the 8 for this, as it runs a bit small and has no stretch. The was the side zipper - it makes the dress a bit difficult to put on / take off.  

I loved the simplicity of this dress but it had all the perfect cut outs. I was complimented the whole night. It was a WOW dress without being loud.

I usually wear a size 6 or 8. For this dress, the 6 was tight and would have been uncomfortable. The 8 felt a little big, something invetween would have been ideal. This dress has no stretch which made the fit tricky being between sizes. I wore the size 8. The shoulder strap is a fun piece of the dress but it was difficult to keep it in the right place the whole night - when moving around it went further up my shoulder.   The leg slit was sexy/flattering. I probably wouldnt rent this exact dress again but enjoyed wearing it to ring in the new year.
