I loved this dress so much I rented it twice. I wore it at a conference and got so many compliments, one person even suggested I buy it!



So elegant, with just a touch of edge that makes it unique. I wore to tour vineyards in South Africa and then again on safari and it was perfect!

The buttons, the pleats, the fit is perfect

Easy dress to wear. Ok length for 5'4". Did pucker out a little so it emphasized my pooch

It was ok. The color in. person is more of a mustard yellow. It is a unique dress. It is almost like a cross between a victorian esqe style dress and a WWII dress feminine military style outfit. I had high hopes, but when I actually put it on, I couldn't see actually wearing it out.  It was also a very heavy dress with a lot of material. There is one button where it cinches at the waist which buttoned jussst right.

A smidge tight in the breasts for me so the buttons had some undoing at times but otherwise an all in one package

Very easy, doesn't wrinkle.  Very flattering.

Absolutely loved this dress! I did size up after reading the reviews and I’m glad I did, as it isn’t a stretchy material. I wore it for a work event in which I presented at and received so many compliments. I was grateful that the sleeve area had more space and it hides any sweat stains (what a win!). I would say if you have a larger chest, it may not fit as well as it felt more snug in that area. 

I found this slightly form fitting for the size, and there's no stretch in the fabric. I did wear a belt to adjust the waist to my natural waist line since it did not land where it should on my torso. This might translate better for a taller person. I chose this for the plea details and the full skirt, which did not disappoint.

I wore this to a conference and got SO many compliments. I felt so sophisticated! Would rent again 

Perfect for first spring day and just different enough that probably wouldn’t want to own, but got several compliments. As others have said, no room to spare in waist (also slightly hit the bottom of my ribs) or the bust. But it was comfortable and airy. Will definitely rent again 

The color, structure and style of the dress is so beautiful! But I cannot understand why it is so tight in the bust!! I am a true 8, especially in dresses, and I’m a 32B the buttons around my bra (which I wore an I padded bra!) was gapped all day It was infuriatinggggg

I did receive multiple compliments on the dress, but was so insecure about the bust, I couldn’t imagine having bigger boobs. It fit perfect everywhere else so I don’t know if sizing up would be best or if it would lose, It’s structure 

Order for your bust and add a belt. I tried on every bra I own trying to get the buttons to close. It’s a darling piece and looks great styled with a belt. 

This was a nice look for fall - on trend and unique but still elegant/classic. If I had a larger bust or waist I would need to size up.

A gorgeous dress. Fabric is a little stiff and the color is perhaps not the most broadly flattering but to me this is the perfect work dress. 

I have a small waist and am curvy, and this didn’t fit right. I very seldom wear a 6 but would try one if I decide to rent this dress again. In any case it was a bit warm for the summer weather. 

Go up a size and you are golden! I wore a nude colored slip because it is a bit sheer.  

The dress is fabulous though. I’d buy it if it wasn’t so expensive. I got so many compliments and felt great all day! 

A little tight if you have a larger chest and long if you are short. I loved the color and details though. 

This dress is beautiful. The front pleating make it very elegant and from the front it looks like two pieces. It does somewhat emphasize your mid section, so if you’re trying to hide that I would skip. Also requires nude underwear as the back is a bit sheer

This dress is unique but still classic.  Well made, quality material, great tailoring.  Tons of compliments!  Can’t wait to rent again.

This classy and unique dress is a compliment magnet — comfortable and close-fitting, a 4 was snug, so if you’re in between sizes I would size up. Sizing was normal for ALC, if you’re familiar with their fit. Good for spring, but might be too hot come summer. Also would be great with boots for the fall!

BUT SO CUTE! So many total strangers stopped me on the street to tell me how beautiful this dress was. And it is a stunner.

Pros:
1) doesn’t wrinkle easily!!!! this is huge
2) a great length, plenty long - almost a maxi - I’m 5’8 (shorter folks might find it too long)
3) zipper-free!
4) cute chest pockets (which also act as nipple covers - see cons)

Cons:
1) fabric is only one layer for the whole back of the dress, and it’s quite sheer. the fabric - a crosshatch-textured thick polyester - clings to your body in an odd way so even a “no show” flesh-colored thong was super obvious. I wore nude shapewear shorts to feel more covered. I don’t wear bras, but if you do that will also be very obvious. There’s also an RTR tag sewn into the back of the top, which because it’s sheer, is visible! I attached a pic. The front has multiple layers of fabric and chest pockets which cover the nipples if you’re braless.
2) no side pockets!
3) a touch small on the waist - I’m a pretty consistent 2, and if I was even just a little bloated I could button the waist but it pulled and didn’t look nice. Fit fine everywhere else though. If I was to purchase or rent again, I’d get a 4.
