I’ve had this set sitting in my Like List forever but it was always missing the matching piece. Finally grabbed both. The jacket runs true to size for me which surprised me because ALC usually runs a little small. It’s cropped but not in a show-your-stomach way. I’m lifting my arms in one photo and you can see it still hits right at the waist. Definitely more fall coded but I made it work for winter since ours has been weirdly warm. Cut is boxy and wide up top but not costume-y. 

Do not get this outfit if you don’t wanna look poised and put together. I love a good matching fit with this to my 20th year anniversary high school reunion. It was a hit nonetheless..

I grabbed this little set because I wanted to replicate a look I saw online and it was the closest match — but I ended up loving it. It fit super well, felt perfect for the Vogue event I went to, and gave me that stylish vibe without trying too hard, which is exactly what I wanted. Loved it.

For reference: I usually wear a size 10 on the bottom, and the 8 fit perfectly. On top, I went with an 8 because I saw someone mention it runs a bit big, and even the 8 was loose. So my advice: go one size down on the bottoms, and for the top, size down too depending on how you like your fit.


I wore this lightweight jacket while walking around London. It’s the perfect weight for a 60-70 degree day. I paired it with a sleeveless mocked black sweater. It is the perfect amount of cropped. I liked the boxer fit and would definitely rent again. I would have bought it if it weren’t so expensive. Such a great staple piece that is classic. 

Loved the set. Definitely would have worn the jacket on its own if i kept it longer!

Perfect for a rooftop in Europe - fit great too 

Great weight but I don't know if I would ever wear this with anything but the skirt. The weather got warmer here so I only had one real opportunity to wear but many compliments and absolutely worth the rental!

The matching skirt was way too short for work, and the jacket looked a bit boxy with the skirt. 
I paired the jacket with jeans and it looked super cute. True to size! 

Oversized in the arms! Lots of arm length 

Sleeves are a tad long for me but I loved the look pushed up 

Loved everything about this jacket. Not too cropped, not too baggy, boxy yet fitted. Great material. Love the wide collar!

Comfortable and easy to match with anything 

I LOVED this outfit and would 1000% keep it if it wasn’t so expensive. Such a coordinated chic look for Thanksgiving.

I loved this set! It was super cute and I ended up wearing it as a Gossip Girl costume for Halloween and out to dinner with friends. The jacket fit well but the sleeves were definitely long 

Felt like a main character in gg wearing this set around the city - perfect weight and the pattern is a gorgeous color combo. The skirt is SHORT but works well with tights, or high boots!

The perfect early autumn set. Loved the warm color palette and pattern. Both jacket and skirt run TTS to large, which is a bit unusual for ALC. However, I found that my “recommended” size worked great. I wore the set out to dinner in NYC and felt fabulous!! Also wore the jacket to work, pairing it with a white tee and jeans. Loved!

Boxy but awesome. Perfect crop. I would buy if it weren’t so expensive. Got tons of compliments and goes with black and brown.

I ordered a size or two bigger since I wanted to be sure I got the boxy look! It was super cute with the set and on its own

I love a two piece outfit and this really made me feel like I could fit into the classic movie Clueless. Would definitely rent again. 

This was a well constructed jacket. I folded it in into a bag and it came out looking completely fresh, no wrinkles - good for this transition weather. I sized up to a 10 because I have broad shoulders and it felt huge. From reading the other reviews this seems common and I might re-order in my usual 8. I have long arms and appreciate the sleeves covered them fully. 

I only could screenshot a video because I couldn't take pictures. It's very unique and well-made, but I'm my opinion, only looks but if buttoned ask the way up

The cropped fit and the cut is great, and perfect for my shorter torso. The only thing I'd note is that where the lining ends the wool is a bit itchy in some spots, but it's not a dealbreaker for me. The sleeves are long, but I actually love how they look cuffed, and it adds to the cozy feel of the jacket. Overall, this is a great piece that is perfect for fall and I will definitely be renting again. 

I ordered the 10 (in btw 8 & 10). Definitely could’ve used the 6 or 8. It’s oversized but not too bad where I can’t wear it

This was a fun piece to have for fall. It is a bit boxy and would go well over a chunky sweater.  I wore it on a date, but it felt more like office wear so then I wore it to a work event!

Bonus for girls with long arms - the sleeves are plenty long. 

It is super cute. And cute with the skirt. A little bulky but I think that’s the style. A lot of fabric if you’re super petite, but cute nonetheless.

Nicely made and stylish but runs quite large.

Good fit, I just didn’t think it was very flattering without the matching skirt
