Rented this dress for a work event & it was perfect. Conservative enough to feel comfortable around my boss, while not feeling frumpy. This dress is very comfortable & easy to wear.  I was very pleased with the color of this dress, as well. I would rent again. 

This dress fit like a glove and felt amazing! The zipper didnt lay flat and it was a little short. But otherwise I felt so glamorous. Also the ladies at the chicago storefront SAVED THE DAY! amazing customer service. 

This is my favorite color! I could have worn a long but regular was fine. I was able to wear a regular bra. 

This dress was great. I felt comfortable all night. It's easy to dance in and I was happy I could wear a regular bra with it. The color is brighter in person than online but I still loved it! 

Dress was great! I had to wear flats with a long, so if you're 5'9" ish definitely get a long! Felt a little tight in the shoulders but didn't look tight. Very comfortable through waist 

Wore the 6R and could have worn the 4 if not for the lack of room in the chest area. I wear a 34D and the 4 was too tight across the girls. I wore a racer back bra and it worked like a charm. The color was perfect for a November event and the satin material was so soft and comfortable. I was a bit worried about the satin material not being forgiving but the ruffles detract from any unsightly bumps.  Overall it was gorgeous and flattering!

The fit is incredible - it hangs beautifully and I was able to wear a normal bra with it (crossing the straps in back). The material is so soft and the color is gorgeous. I was literally stopped multiple times while walking for people giving me compliments. I have never received so many compliments on a dress. I’m 47 and have had 3 kids so that’s saying something! Mind you, I did wear two pairs of spanx lol. I shared with a few women that the dress is from Rent the Runway! The dress looks so much better on than in the photos. I did wear a bit of double sided fabric tape to keep the ruffles from folding over onto my chest. It worked great!

I needed a dress last minute for a formal event I was attending. This was my first experience with RTR so I was a little skeptical but the dress arrived quickly and in great condition. I'm 5'3" and 115lbs and the size zero fit perfectly! I loved this dress because you could wear with a regular bra (didn't need a strapless bra). It felt so comfortable and the color was gorgeous. 

Loooooved this dress! Got many compliments on it throughout the night. It fit well, was beautiful, very comfortable and easy to move in.  Wish I could buy and keep! But would totally recommend to anyone!

I am an 8/10 with lots of post baby curves. This dress made me feel like a million bucks. The V neck and cascading curves were extremely flattering. The fit was loose around my hips so I could sit and walk without a problem. I would absolutely recommend this to any other lady! I wore 2.5” heels and it was perfect for my 5’ 4” height. Could have gone up to 3” as well. 

The 4 fit great except a little snug in the bust but it worked. I stood out among all the black dresses and loved the shimmer of the fabric. I would definitely rent again!

This is one of my favorite RTR rentals ever!! I got compliments all night on the color and fit and I felt like a million bucks. The dress hugged me in all the right places without accentuating any trouble spots. Love!

If you are narrower, I'd consider going down a size. I'm about 5'9 and the regular length was plenty long enough- with heals. I'm small chested and wore bra inserts to add some shape to the gown. I would also suggest wearing seamless underwear to avoid panty lines.

I usually go for black for a formal affair but decided to go with this beauty. I do not regret it! I usually wear a 6 but the 4 was perfect. It was very comfortable, does not wrinkle and you can wear a racer back bra with it. I got lots of compliments and felt really good in this dress. The only issue was that the zipper didn’t lay completely flat- but it wasn’t enough of an issue to subtract a star. 

Color is stunning. Fit is flattering but not stuck to your body so you can indulge and enjoy your evening. Plus, you can wear a regular bra. Just the cherry on top of this rental!

Such a great dress for a fraction of the retail price!  Great design hides any imperfections of one's physique. Can wear a regular (racer back) bra with it. Doesn't need a lot of accessories. I would rent this again!

It fit great! Not too low cut and very flattering!

Don't let the ruffle in the model pic fool you, it looks great on.  Color stood out in a sea of black dresses too.  Comfortable, great fit, and you can wear a bra with it.  I was worried about the length, but with tall heels I could walk in it without holding it up.

I️ wore this dress to my friend's wedding. Everyone was complimenting me on this beautiful dress. I️ loved I️t. I️t fits wonderful to your body and the length is excellent. Since I️ am tall I️ got a 10L. 

Worn for a black tie wedding in NYC! the fabric and color were very glamorous and the cut was very flattering. This was not the original dress I rented but ended up being a favorite. The design and lay of the ruffle draws attention away from your hips. However, I would highly recommend spanx to hide under garment lines !

Work with 3" heels which worked perfectly ! 

I could not have been more pleased with this rental. The color was more gorgeous in person than in the photo. Fit was as expected. It was snug enough that I didn't need to wear a bra, but you certainly could if needed. Definitely need to wear seamless underwear though with this fabric.

Gorgeous dress, green color was amazing. I rented the 10long and 8 long. I wore the 8 long. I am 5'9" and it was not long! If you are above 5'6" I'd say get the long if you plan on wearing heels. The dress fit well, but the seams were a little funky but not too noticeable. I wore this for a black tie wedding in early October. It was perfect. 

This dress was super flattering to my hourglass shape, and the ruffle was a nice touch. I got so many compliments on the dress, especially on the color. I am 5'9" and ordered the Long, which just touched the floor with 3 inch heels. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of some gaping in the back along the zipper line. The dress fit great everywhere else, but there was a lot of extra fabric in that area, which was not very flattering.

Rented this dress for a work gala. I liked that the fabric was silk but didn't wrinkle. The length was good on it as well. Only reason i didn't give it five stars is because the back was a little off from where the zipper has been pulled so many times. Overall a good choice. 

I ended up renting this as a backup and not wearing, but it was a beautiful material and color. I'd wear this if another formal affair came up. 

I wore this last night to a black tie-optional wedding. I received so many compliments. The color is just gorgeous, and the material is beautiful--heavy and fitted without being at all clingy. The bottom sort of swishes while walking...super elegant. I didn't have to wear a bra, because it was very supportive on top...which NEVER happens for me. For reference, I am 5'7", 36D, 175 pounds. I have a very broad back and shoulders. I normally wear a 10/12 in dresses, but sometimes a 14 in formal dresses. The 12L fit perfectly (with 2.5" heels), so I'd say this was very true to size.

This dress runs large and even the long was not long enough for me (5' 6" with 3 1/2" heels).  Now I just completed the whole 30 challenge so I might be totally underestimating my outcome because I was amazed when the size 6 zipped AND was comfortable.  You can also see the seams of the dress' lining which was a bummer because I wasn't expecting that type of flaw on a dress of this caliber.  The color was absolutely amazing though!    

It ran big. I typically would wear a 10 and a 8 fit perfectly.

Dress is true to size, it's a bit long so you do need high heels if you are not tall (I'm 5'5").  The ruffle down the center creates a sexy look without revealing much skin.  The color is deep and rich which allowed me to use shades of purple/plum for make-up and accents.  Wore the dress to a gala and got compliment after compliment all night.  The material is very comfortable, however wearing shapewhere is an absolute must for a smooth look. This is a great dress if you've got curves. 

This dress is a GORGEOUS emerald green and exudes class and elegance. SUCH a beautiful color, really.  Received so many compliments.  It's also SUPER COMFORTABLE, like wearing a silk nightgown. I never felt like I had to suck in and the dress hung beautifully on my frame.  It's easy to walk in and sit in. Not tight at all anywhere, yet appeared fitted and hugged my curves beautifully.  I'm 5'3", 105 lbs, 32D bust, and I wore size 0R with ~3" heels. I did not wear a bra, but you easily could. 

Most beautiful dress I’ve ever worn! I had to order a size down because my usual size wasn’t available, but it fit perfectly! The long size was perfect for my 5’-8” height with heels. Received many compliments and was comfortable all night long. 

This dress fit PERFECT! I wore this dress to a formal party and I received so many compliments. The green is beautiful. I ordered this in black at first but decided to get the green as well and I fell in love with it. I got a 10 and 12 to be safe but ended up having to get an 8L because the 10 was a little too big. Go with your true size, it fits like a glove. I also did not wear a bra with this.

Loved loved loved it!!! So flattering, so elegant, and perfect length for my 5’4” self!

Need a full body strapless undergarment.  


I got this as a backup but didn't end up wearing it, but I hope I get invited to another event so I can rent it again.  Beautiful color and fabric, drapes nicely, figure flattering.  Long is quite long - I'm 5'7 and with 2-3" heels this would have dragged.
