Was a little surprised I had to go with a 12P, but with hips and height size was perfect. 

This dress fit me perfectly except for the length! I ordered a 16R and I’m 5’2”. I’ve never experienced a dress being too short on me but it was 7” off the ground with no heels on! I contacted RTR customer service & they sent me 2 more dresses overnight because of the defect of this dress but this one ended up fitting me best so I wore it. Honestly no one knew but me that it was supposed to be floor length, it looked like it was supposed to be tea length! Overall, I was comfortable in the dress all night and received lots of compliments! 

This dress checks all the boxes for a black tie wedding, but just wasn't as special as another I found. Can wear a regular bra, color and lace pattern are flattering. 

This dress was perfect for my husband's work gala. I was comfortable all night long and received many compliments. I defiantly needed the long but didn't mind wearing a lower heel. This was my first time renting and I'm so glad I did!

I wore this to a formal Gala. It was a great dress and I received many compliments. I wish the dress had been a few inches longer. It hit at my ankle and I would have preferred a bit longer. 

This dress was perfect for a black tie gala.  Fit true to size, was classy and comfortable!

It is flattering, but it is short! I'm 5'9" and the 8R hit me mid-calf. I figured I could rock that and make it a thing, despite it being mermaid cut, but the slip kept moving around. Had this been a looser silhouette, that wouldn't be a problem, but as it's a pretty tight silhouette and the zipper is also attached to the slip, when the fabric moved, the zipper moved and bunched in the back, which made for a rather messy silhouette. The positives: it's stretchy, forgiving, and really flattering on girls with curves. It's also a soft & comfortable material. The cons: it's way too short for a long dress, and the slip is too thick to be moving around like that. There's no way to subtly rearrange without going to the bathroom and fixing it. I ended up just wearing another dress. 

I love how the material of this dress "gives" a ton— it's very stretchy! My only qualm is that there is a lot of extra fabric in the hips which looked a little bunched up on me. Some reviews said the dress was short but it was the perfect length for me with 1.5ish inch heels.

I ordered this dress last-minute for an important formal event. I loved it! The horizontal and vertical lines on the dress accentuate your figure, but the stretchy material and black color make for a very forgiving fit. This is a terrific, "safe" dress that strikes the balance of both conservative and flattering.
Note: I am 5'5", and I ordered the 2L because that was all that was available. I was surprised that the "long" worked if I wore 3-inch heels. As a reference, I am about 115 pounds.

This dress was made of a great material, was very comfortable and had a nice fit.  I am 5'3" and did wish the dress was a little longer.  My only dislike was the zipper.  It ran down very low and the bottom of it made the dress stick out.  It felt like I had a tail. All in all great dress I would wear again. 

A little bit short at front but great fit!

This dress had great material the really sat well on the body, heavier fabric that sat right in all the right places. I got compliments all evening on it and was very pleased that it went to well with the vibe of the formal military dinner. 
I’m 5’3” and 138 lbs with an athletic build, I usually wear a size 4 and purchased the 4R and the 6R as back up. I ended up having to wear the 6R because though the 4R fit great on my body it was WAY too short to wear. The bottom came to my shins without heels. As I’m pretty short I was use to things being long on me but this was short even for a short person! As you can see in the photograph the 6R is still short wearing low heels. I do wish the 4R had been longer as I enjoyed the dress being tighter rather then the loose fit the 6R gave me. All in all still a great find but beware of how short the Regular still is.

This dress didn't look great on I think partially because it's made for someone with more curves (at least in the hip area) so it was baggy in weird places. I did like that I could wear a normal bra with it, but the dress really didn't do much for me

Pros: the dress is very stretchy and forgiving, the design and cut of the dress is also very flattering to a wide range of body types and the fact that you can wear a normal bra is a huge bonus for larger chested ladies like myself.  I wore a standard bra but used dress tape to secure the bra strap to the shoulder straps to prevent any peekaboo moments. 

Cons: as previous reviewers have mentioned, the length is a bit awkward.  I’m 5ft tall and wore the regular length (vs petite) and standing barefoot, the front hem hit the top of my feet.  I wore 4 inch platforms and the back of the dress just barely grazed the floor.  You can't tell that there's such a big length difference just from the photo.  Also if you have a larger chest and a tummy, you might have to keep pulling the front down as the vertical lace detail tended to roll up under my boobs at times.  

I am 5'4" tall and weigh 160lbs.  This dress fit great, I felt classy and it was very appropriate for my formal affair.  

I'm 5 ft 6, 147 lbs, 36C. Rented 6 L based on review, and it worked well with a 3.5 inches heel. Fyi, this was my back up dress, but it fit better than my first choice. 

Gorgeous and comfortable. Received compliments all evening. The fit was true to size, though I'm glad I got the long length. It was extremely flattering and I would wear it again in a heartbeat. Very easy to move in and to sit in during the ceremony. I'm SUPER busty (H/I cup) and it covered everything and created a nice silhouette.  

This dress is truly timeless. It is so well made and incredibly comfortable. It's great to be able to wear a traditional bra! Best dress I've worn in a long time. 

This dress is perfect for dancing the night away, and not having to worry about whether your mom belly is showing. It is a nice thick fabric with slip and is very stretchy. The black color and decorative lines are slimming. I never know if I will be a size 10 or 12 and I was a very comfortable 10 in this dress. I wore tights underneath for some extra support (and to avoid dancing barefoot later) and I don’t think I have ever been more confident dressing up after having my two kids. Highly recommend. 

I wore this to the Emmys! This dress has some good stretch. It was so comfortable to wear and sit in. I’m busty and this dress allows any type of bra underneath. Tip: The “nude” panels look see through in the picture but they are not. It also has a mini train in back that drapes on the floor a bit. 

I rented this dress for Mary Kay Seminar Awards in Dallas The dress fit perfectly.  It’s true to size.  I ordered long and I’m 5’2”.  If you are tall it would not be long enough. I will rent again.  

This dress was perfect for a black tie wedding I went to. It was so comfortable because it has a stretch but the stretch doesn't get baggy. I am 5'3 and this was the perfect length with some wedges. If you want to wear flats I'd say get petite. Will always use RTR for weddings now. 

Dress is simply and flattering.  The front of the dress is shorter then tea length, back hits the ground.  You need some dramatic shoes to show off because they will be oddly noticeable.  I am only 5'4", no formal dress has ever been too short.  

This dress was so incredibly comfortable to wear! I didn't want to take it off at the end of the night. This was actually my back-up dress. It fit very well and wasn't too tight or too loose. I definitely had to wear high heels with this dress, and it still hit the floor. But it made for a nice train. I would recommend it for any black tie or formal event. 

The dress fit perfectly and the patterned lines down the center and across the dress ... gave a slimming illusion. 

This dress was perfect for the black tie fundraiser we went to. The stretch in the fabric made it very comfortable and form-fitting. The 8L was definitely necessary for me, although other dresses that I've rented have been an 8R. The regular length in this dress was more of a tea-length. Certainly depends on your height and the heel height of your shoe. I'm 5'-7" and my shoes have a 3" heel. 

This was a great fitting dress. Not overly tight or loose. Heavier fabric was nice for a colder evening. As others mentioned, it's shorter in the back and longer in the front. I'm 5'3" and was able to wear the size 0 with 3-4" heels. 

This dress fit perfectly. I'm usually a size 4, but since the material has stretch to it, I wore my backup size. Extremely comfortable! I am 5'7" and wore 2 in heels. The dress is a little longer in the back, so it touched the ground but didn't get in the way! I absolutely LOVED this dress!

This dress was comfy and flattering, but it was entirely too short. I'm an average height, 5' 5", and the 6R hit me a few inches above the ankles. It looked ridiculous. Luckily, my back-up size was a 4L, so that gave me a little more length, but even still, the hem of the dress was above my feet. I ended up in flats because this was a work event and I had to run around quite a bit, but ANY sort of heel would have made this dress look too short.

This dress was everything I wanted in my first time trying RTR. It was comfortable, elegent and the material was high quality. Not super thick but not thin enough to be unforgiving. Loved it! The only down side was it was oddly short. Im only 5' 2" and wore your average sized heels and it was about 2-3 inches off the floor. Fine for showing off cute shoes but it seemed an odd length to me.  

This dress was actually my second choice/backup but won my heart with its comfort level! As a new mom I loved that it had the perfect amount of stretch and you could MOVE in it. Stayed in place all night and you can even wear a regular bra with it! The length is great but just be aware the its a little shorter on the bottom in front and longer in back. I'm 5"6 and was fine with the Regular length.

Needed something conservative since I went to this event with my brother. The dress was very comfortable, giving, and gave no problems! Had to order it last second after another dress didn't work and it came within 2 days! I recommend!

This dress fit my curvy shape nicely and was  comfortable for a fun night of dancing. Nice stretch. I wore a regular bra so that was great. It is slightly longer in the back than in the front, and i wished i had gotten a long.  I'm 5'5" so I'm always borderline with length. Oh well.  Apparently great minds think alike because a friend had rented the same gown for the same event. We had a good laugh. 

I was a little worried about renting this dress as all my weight is in my gut but with a little help from body shapers I felt so amazing in this dress. It was right on the cusp of being too short and I wish the long was in stock but I was able to wear a flat nice sandal and it was the perfect lenth. It was a very formal event for my husbands work but I felt great all night. It had some stretch in it so you were able to dance in it. I wore a sweater over it most of the night as I'm slightly self concious about my arms and it was cold in the event hall. Ignore the cheesy photo unfortunately its the only one I took all night :/ very pleased with RTR and will be using them again. 

Got this dress as my backup style in a 6R. I liked, but felt it laid a bit strangely around my hips. There was extra fabric on the side that stuck out strangely. I was a bit bummed because the dress looked SO flattering on other women who reviewed it, but felt it just didn't work with my shape that well. I may have needed a size down, or maybe a Petite size (I'm 5'3"), but based on how the rest of the dress fit, I think it would have been snug. 

Definitely loved the detail down the center of the dress. 

Also worth nothing that when I tried it on with 3" heels, it was pretty short, so no need to do a petite size!

As other reviews mentioned,  this dress is extremely flattering on curvy figures. I wore spanx underneath but overall the dress fit perfectly on me and I was comfortable dancing in it the entire night! The bottom was a little too long on me but I wore a short heel anyways so it ended up being fine. 

This was my firsT experience with RTR and I was amazed at the ease of the rental. The dress was beautiful, comfortable and the process was so easy! I highly recommend RTR & would rent this again in a minute. I felt beautiful all night long. I did wear spanx under the dress to help smooth my trouble areas. 

The 16R fit although a tad snug which is what I thought it should be.  However, it was damaged and I had to send back for repairs.  The 18R was a few inches shorter than the 16R and fell between my calves and ankles barefoot.  I am only 5'5", so a R should be long enough.  The overnighted me an 18L, but it still hit above my ankles.  I am not sure if this dress has been hemmed or what, but a L on me should be dragging the floor.  I included a picture of the bottom of the two dresses hung next to each other.  You can see where the lace on one clearly ends before the lace on the other.   That is the bottom of the 2 different dresses.

This dress was a dream! So simlpe and beautiful! I was anle to wear a regular bra! Very comfy! It was a little too long on me because I had to order a long but worked out fine. It was really an effortless dress too, i didnt have to worry about it falling down or scratching or anything, it was just comfortable and simple and perfect!
