Overall fit okay.

I usually order a 4 and 6 (because sometimes the bust is too tight). If you are blessed up top, this dress showcases the girls. The shine was subtle and nice for a night out. Definitely can get away with wearing this in a club or a formal event depending on accessories. I loved this dress!

This was a great dress! And a great first experience with RTR! The fabric was a little different than I thought it would be, but the fit was great. Pretty true to size. Would have liked to try a size two but I ordered up for my extra size instead of down. Great little black dress for date night!

I have strong shoulders and a very small chest, so I was nervous to see how the dress fit. It turned out amazing! The deep v cut worked and this dress was the perfect length for dancing in - I could swirl and jump all I wanted and it wouldn't show anything. I didn't wear a bra with this dress. Would definitely recommend and wear again!

Loved this LBD. Wore it out on a nice date for our anniversary and all I can is that it is the perfect balance of classic and sexy. I never have cleavage and this dress made my boobs look awesome. I wore a regular black push up bra with it and had no problems. The only (very slight) fit issue was that the straps we just a bit too long for me, but I have a pretty short torso so this isn't the first time I've encountered it. In the end it wasn't really a problem, the straps didn't slip if I pulled the skirt down a bit. The waist of the dress wasn't exactly at my natural waist as a result, but I don't think it was very noticeable.

This dress fit well & easy.. No bunching, twisting, or pulling. Everything stayed put, & covered. Made for a fun night of dancing. Perfect length.. Straps cover a normal bra, just had to tuck the bra down in the back, as there is a low back, but it stayed covered well. You could easily go bra less or strapless with this dress though. Such a classy & most importantly, carefree dress! My daughter wore this to a formal H.S. dance. I thought she looked adorable in it, & she felt amazing in it!! I want to also add, the customer service @ Rent The Runway was phenomenal! We won't soon forget this experience & will most definitely be repeat customers! We almost had a delivery mishap, but RTR stepped up & made things happen for us! Thank you so much for making my daughters night special! We are delighted with the dress & most impressed with the service!

This dress fits like a glove and is the perfect length. Wore it for an event in NYC for new years. I can wear up to a 6 sometimes but the 2 fit me perfectly. I was able to wear a regular bra with this. Love and would rent again.

I absolutely loved this dress! It fit like a glove, especially the top half without a bra--but I'll be honest... my 34 DD's are not the ones with which I was originally blessed so I think I had an unfair advantage with that fit. Since the dress was for a party at a friend's home, I was able to tone down the cleavage a bit by tucking the girls in a bit more. The fit around the ribcage was snug, but it made for a gorgeous silhouette with a fuller flirty bottom. Not having to wear a bra with this dress made for such a comfortable night. I got so many compliments on how gorgeous it was... and a few comments from some other women about how amazing the girls looked.

I really liked this dress a lot. I felt great in it. The length was not too short (I'm 5'6) and the waist was flattering, although I added a skinny belt to the ensemble. I will say, however, you will blend right in to a sea of cocktail dresses in this dress - so don't wear this one if you're hoping to be the belle of the ball. Pointers: I read in a lot of reviews that people wore a standard bra with this dress, and I did too, but the very top of the straps is very thin, so unless you have a black bra with thin straps, I'd go strapless. Also, I have very small breasts, and the dress was snug. This may not be a good dress for well-endowed ladies. Also, after a few hours I found the dress to be pretty itchy (not uncommon for sparkly dresses) but if you have sensitive skin like me, keep it in mind.

SUCH a great dress; it fit beautifully and the fabric was stunning in person. I got tons of compliments and wasn't afraid to go to town on some pasta before going out due to the flowey skirt. The back was too low cut for me to wear a bra, but that wasn't an issue for me. I had a great time at my last homecoming dance largely in-part to this comfortable, classic, and cool dress. I want to love in this dress! It was so sexy AND comfortable! Very flattering v neck and the fabric hugs just right.

This was my second time ordering the dress. First time I ordered the 10, thinking I hadn't gained that much weight, and the 10 failed. The 12 worked perfectly. A few tricks about this dress: If you don't wear a bra, you will need fashion tape to keep the top up. It travels off your shoulders otherwise. You can wear a strapless plunge bra, but that's the only kind. It has to be the plunge, regular strapless shows. The waist is exactly how it says, and that is the only part that is not loose, quite snug really, but not uncomfortably so. It is definitely low, so if that's not your thing, don't go there, or wear a camisole. Overall, the dress was fantastic, looked great, and super comfortable. Even got a picture with my boyfriend's black cat in the "black cat dress." Super cheesy, but his idea.

Great dress! It provided all the glam I needed without blowing the bank. I received a ton of comments through out the evening from friends as well as strangers. I paired the dress with my favorite pair of Brian Atwood, gold heels and awesome statement earrings; grabbed a simple nude purse and never missed a beat!

This was by far my favorite RTR rental so far. (Sorry I didn't take a better full body shot, but it was a bachelorette party so every other pic has 10 other girls in it.) The theme for the party was LBDs and I wanted something that would stand out. The plunging V and slight sheen to the dress were exactly what I was looking for. In terms of size, I could've gone with the 8 but it was ripped along the front seam. The 10 fit fine and at first I thought it was a little too long for a party but with my 4 inch heels it was fine. I actually ended up appreciating the length because with the V in front, a short skirt would've been too much. Absolutely no complaints. Will definitely rent this one again!

I rented this in case the Nicole Miller didn't fit. But this one wouldn't stay up on my shoulders, so I let my twin sister try it for the wedding. Obviously it was perfect on her. And this dress has pockets! Say what?! Yeah! Melissa looked amazing and got a ton of compliments!

The dress was absolutely beautiful. I loved the fabric, the shine to it. It fit a bit loose in the waist, but I kind of liked that it wasn't too tight! And the bust line is definitely quite low, I couldn't help but notice people's eyes wandering down in mid conversation. Overall, this dress made me feel fabulous and I was super impressed at how easy it is to use RTR (got my accessories from here too!). Can't wait to dress up for the next event!!

I wasn't able to wear a bra underneath because the straps of the dress were thin at the top. it fit perfectly otherwise in the chest and waist area. i am short (5"0) so it was kind of longer than I expected; it came to my knees. I wore it to #lawschool #prom and had fun in it!

I am usually a size 4/6 and have a small waist, chest size 34B but have larger hips and a short torso and short legs (I'm 5'2") I tried on the size 2 dress (sales girl picked it for me6 at the store in NYC and it fit perfect! It was so flattering and I felt really comfortable in it all night! Perfect little black dress :)

This dress is to die for! It was sexy but still classy and perfect for NYE paired with some sassy accessories. I ordered the 0 and 2 and the 0 was very close to a perfect fit. I'm a 32 C and needed to buy a padded bra to make the bust of the dress fit. Loved loved loved this dress! Want to own it!

I rented the size 4 and the size 6 for a New Year's Eve party. Must have tried both of them 10 times before I decided to go with the 4. It was pretty snug, but more flattering in the chest area than the size 6. The size 6 was more comfortable since it wasn't as tight fitting but it just didn't seem to hold my chest in place like the size 4 did and not quite as flattering. No bra needed. Definitely a lot of cleavage. Wore a black patent leather belt and black patent leather pumps. Fun and flirty! Expect a lot of stares, gawking and compliments!

I wore this for a New Year's Eve party and it was perfect. It's fun, comfortable, and so flattering for curvy/hourglass shapes. I felt it showed the right amount of cleavage, but it is the most low-cut dress I've ever worn. The fabric is beautiful and looks luxe. The fit made my waist look small and flared out to hide my hips and thighs. Super flattering!

Can't begin to describe how amazing this dress fits, it looks beautiful and projects such an edgy elegance. This dress radiates confidence and is a showstopper so prepare to break some necks. Great choice if you're busty and petite and pretty much any shape, can't go wrong with this choice.

This dress is great! Really comfortable and easy to wear but I still felt sexy! Fit pretty perfect! I had to use a little wardrobe tape on the back because it puckered a little bit on me. I wore a Nubra and it was fine. I was worried the fabric would look cheap but it was great and really fun! So glad I rented this dress it was exactly what I was looking for!

Great dress...LOVE the fabric. Very comfortable and very easy to wear. I ordered both the 4 and 6, but went with the 6 to accommodate my 32DDD's. I was able to wear a strapless bra just fine...no tape necessary. This was a great playful, sexy look without being too over the top.

The 6 was a little tight so I wore the 8. In hindsight I wish I would have gone w the 6 because the spanx I wore underneath would have made it less tight fitting. I got tons of compliments! Would definitely wear again - fun to dance in too!

I read the reviews and ordered a size down because I am not large chested, really glad I did because I ended up wearing the 4 because although the rest of the dress fit perfect the chest was way too loose. The fabric does not stretch at all so the dress was tight along my rib cage, but was still able to enjoy the night no problem, with lots of drinking and dancing. The dress was flattering and had a nice shine to it. Got lots of compliments all night long.

So pretty! The fabric is good quality...kind of stuff but that's what helps it keep it's shape all night. The top is structured enough so it kept me in place all night as I moved and danced around without having to use wardrobe tape. The cut is perfect so that I could eat and drink and not worry about it showing!

It may run a bit big, seeing as how only the bodice top portion is actually fitted I went with the smaller of my two sizes, fashion tape isn't totally nessicary if you have a bigger chest. The waistline of my dress was a little wonky (probably from wear), but I just belted it and went on with life. I'm not a fan of my arms so I paired it with a dance shrug which helped with warmth for the outdoor October wedding. Looked great, I wish I could have kept this dress!!

After being a RTR member for two years, I finally took the plunge and rented this number for an anniversary dinner. My boyfriend and I were going to a very formal dinner, followed by a show and I wanted to look elegant but still sexy. This dress fit the bill. I ordered my normal size 8, and it fit perfectly. The fitting in the bodice worked to my advantage, as I felt it held the girls in well and I could go braless. For the record, I'm a size 36B, so bigger girls might want to be aware that there will be a bit more cleavage going on than I had. My only complaint on the dress (and it could have been a fluke?) was that the seams through the waist and bust were a bit itchy. Not something I couldn't live with, but it did make for a slightly uncomfy evening. Other than that though, I loved this dress and will be renting again.

Low cut and was a bit tight in the bust area for me because I have a broader back and may be a bit bustier than the ladies the cut of the dress was intended for, but it's a darling dress that has a slight sheen and just really looks glam and edgy at fun all at the same time. And since the skirt is fuller, no need for spanx.

I rented this for my birthday celebration and received TONS of compliments. It runs a bit larger than other designer clothes I've worn so if you're between sizes, order the one down. I did a quick fix to shorten the straps and the dress fit perfectly! It was so cute and the fabric is actually shiny, which I didn't expect but looks great on camera. Perfect party dress when paired with a cute pair of heels.

Dress fits well and is much more comfortable than expected! The top has no give, so if you are big chested or have a wider run cage go up a size!

Thank goodness for this backup. It fit nicely at the top and was snug enough that I didn't need a bra. It was comfortable all night and just the right length. Was able to dance and move without feeling like was about to flash anyone. It's lined nicely. I do wish it had pockets as the skirt is flared enough. I'm a bit long waisted and at first I felt like I wanted the waist to sit a little lower but it ended up actually being fine.

I wore this dress to my brothers wedding rehearsal and adored it. I took my time looking through pictures and reviews and it was so helpful! The material was gorgeous, the details were so cool, and it fit me perfectly. I wore spanx so the waist didn't settle into my belly as the night progressed which I'm really glad I did, otherwise it would start to look a little like muffin top. Not a single complaint- I was comfortable and the dress got high praise from my grandma and my boyfriend, plus everyone in between! A real crowd pleaser!
