Runs small and gapes when you sit :/
I knew yumi Kim runs small so should have gotten a large. Very pretty dress but buttons gape and expose your skin across the whole front of the dress when you sit :/

Better as a cardigan!
I wore this piece both as a dress (which was ok) but I found it to be a bit thin so I tried it as a top layer of jeans and tank tops and crop tops and LOVED it. Had people randomly stop me in the store to ask where I got it. The light fabric means it catches the wind beautifully and looks amazing when you walk (when opened). One of the pieces I wish I could keep forever.

Beautiful dress!!
So fun, feminine, and comfortable! I wore this dress multiple times and loved it. My only issue was the placement of the buttons -- I needed to use two small safety pins to keep the dress from popping open along the chest, but with that fix, this dress was incredible!

I got compliments from strangers all over the city!
Wore a size small very comfortable dress. I even biked to dinner in it. Has pockets and slits on side. Flowy in the wind. Felt like a princess. Would have purchased if it wasn't so expensive.

Great print, loved the style
Unfortunately it fit weird on me so I ended up wearing it with a white tee and jeans as a caftan instead of as a dress as planned, but the print and style was perfect for my friend's baby shower. It was a large and still had issues buttoning around my chest, otherwise loved it!

Lightweight summer dress
Agree with other reviewers that the buttons gape when sitting, showing way too much leg or other bits - def needs a slip or something underneath. Luckily I had a pleated chiffon skirt that matched perfectly, so I wore it under the dress with the bottom half unbuttoned, and voila! Perfect dress! The lightweight silk was perfect on a hot and muggy summer day.

Cute but risky
I know Yumi Kim runs small, but I loved this dress so much that I snatched it up as part of my Unlimited shipment even though there was only an S available. And, standing, it was actually almost perfect? Fitted and crisp -- just skimmed my 27-28" waist and 37"-ish hips. Sitting, though, was a problem. The buttons are so awkwardly placed that they gaped right over my upper thighs and almost showed my underpants (cute undies, but not work appropriate!). The slits are also suuuper high. Had to drape a cardigan casually over my lap. However, I think I might not have had any of these problems if I'd ordered in the right size -- or at least the gapping & slit height would have been fixable with fashion tape/safety pins. Overall I loved the look, and at least it made me use my standing desk? I'd order it again when the M is available.

Decent
I like the pattern, pockets, and the overall fit is pretty flattering. One issue was that the buttons had gaps between them, and when I was sitting sometimes they'd sort of open up, exposing me :O It wasn't too bad, but obviously not the best look.

Wanted to love this dress...
So small...I wore this to church the week before intending to wear to work and when I sat down it was so small all the button holes were exposed. Super cute when standing but I plan on getting the medium and trying it again.

Nice pattern, not great for hourglass shapes.
I am 6 feet tall and slender, but I am a 32 DDD and have somewhat of an hourglass figure. The slits on the side of the dress are high for someone my height, although the dress falls just over the knee. I normally wear a small in most things, so I was surprised to find that this dress in a size medium was very slim fitting. It is cute for work, but I don't think I'll be wearing it more than once. It's also extremely lightweight.

Pretty!
I'm really glad I selected the medium, because this was snug in the bust and waist! (I had to use fashion tape in several places to keep it from gaping). This dress is really lightweight...the top is conservative, but there are slits in the sides of the skirt, FYI! Not my usual style so I wore it with moto boots.

Pretty, but high maintenance!
Very pretty pattern and cut, but would've been impossible without double sided tape! The buttons have pretty large gaps in between, sitting down would've been an issue! Also the fabric wrinkles pretty easily.

Gappy
Color and print is beautiful. Lightweight. The issue I had is that it gaps a lot between buttons, so I'm pretty sure my neighbor at work saw more than he needed to...definitely wear a nude slip if you have one!

Slits super high. I rented this for work but the material is really thin and the slits are too high. It's not the most comfortable dress but made for an okay weekend outfit.

Wore as a shirt
I really wanted this dress to work for me. I originally ordered it in a small and everywhere fit except the space between two of the buttons around the hips (a few from the bottom) was pulling and you could see my skin. So I returned and got the medium. Same problem! So I decided to just wear it as a shirt. I love the print though and details. If I didn't have hips and a butt this would have been perfect!

Eh. Kind of frumpy in my opinion, needs a belt.
I found this a bit disappointing. Without extra styling ( a belt helped a bit ), this looked a bit plain and unflattering. Maybe it was the sizing? I ordered a large since Yumi Kim seems to run small -- maybe I should've tried a medium?

My Marilyn Monroe moment
Loved this adorable dress until I stepped out into the spring breeze and whoosh! It didn't fly all the way up but it flapped about in a way that couldn't be contained and exposed my things and inner legs :( So disappointed, I really really really loved this dress on! If you're convinced you won't be going outside then give this a go and order a size up. I'm usually between an XS and S and the S fit well. If between sizes go up. Go up another size if you want more room in the hips

The button gaps make it unwearable.
I don't know how a designer of relatively expensive clothes allowed something so awkward-fitting to be produced. The button gaps cause this to be legitimately obscene when you try to sit down.

Even an Extra Large was too small
Beautiful silk dress but unfortunately it was way too small in the hips. I normally wear a medium or large, but even with renting an XLR, the dress was not large enough to fit around my hips.

Loved the length and small slits on the sides!
Was a little tighter in the bust than I thought, so the top buttons would not always stay buttoned. Would probably go up to a medium if rented again. Otherwise, was very comfortable and stylish!

High Quality with a Flattering Print
This shirt dress looked cute with flat gray blue shoes, but could also be dressed up if desired. The print was flattering and the high side slits gave it a little sass. A bonus was the lining in the skirt area, that made it fit and flow nicely on the hips.

Thin AND Flattering!
The fabric is so thin and soft, which usually means unflattering on me, but it's lightly lined in the top half of the skirt. I felt so beautiful in this. It's flowy, and comfy. Lovely print too. Long, but also a little sexy with the side slits. Would rent again!

Beautiful
The fabric is amazing and there are two side slits that take this shirt dress from utilitarian to special! The top fit me perfectly! But when I sat, from the wait down, every single section between buttons pulled open revealing skin! I had to stitch them closed to get through my work day. So either size up, or, if you're a straight body or inverted triangle, you'll probably be fine. If you're a pear, you should size up. I usually wear a small (size 4 pant) and rented a medium. It really is a beautiful piece.

Lovely dress, just wear a slip
I wore this dress to work and got several compliments. I will probably wear this one more time before I return it (wear to a family dinner), but will definitely be wearing a skirt-slip under it. It sometimes gapes a bit when you're walking, so I would just feel more comfortable.

The only down side is when you sit down, the space between the buttons opens up, I kept having to cover my thigh area so I didn't accidentally give anyone a show.
