After reading the reviews I was hesitant because everyone said you can't move easily. I'm tall and had no issues at all. Great dress very flattering.

The dress was beautiful, however it does not stretch at all. If you have any muscle or hips or shape whatsoever, do not rent this dress. It was so tight around my hips, I could barely sit or walk upstairs. I had to take micro steps just to walk because it's so tight around the knees. I could dance, but could not drop it low. I typically wear a size 8-10, however the large swallowed my waist and suffocated my butt.

Loved the edgy yet the length still made it sophisticated. Tired on the XS and it was like fighting a bear to get in. Once in I could barely walk or even bend down. The small was better but again sitting down and walking was difficult due to the length of the dress at my mid calf. The model wearing the dress sat just at her knee. I had to climb some stairs. Short ladies prepare for small steps

I went with the size I should have been and one smaller. I was the size they recommended. Love it. I wore it to my boyfriends brothers wedding.

Beautiful fabric, feels really comfortable and well-made. Sexy side slits make the dress conservative yet special.

So many compliments for like a glove, was a little tight in the boobies but made the curves pop in all the right places I would rent it again!

I usually wear a 6/8 in dresses. I thought that a medium would fit but with hips and a bottom it was too snug. I would definitely do this again!

I had originally rented the M But the hips were too tight so sized up for the large. The rest of the dress increased in size except the hip area. Otherwise LOVED this dress. I wore a tank underneath to cover up the side slits for work.

This was a very flattering and summery dress for a lovely night out at a Broadway show. However, like other reviewers said, it does run very narrow in the hips. I had the the medium as a backup size and it fit just as snugly in the hips as the small! I ended up wearing the small because it fit nicely through the torso and chest and the medium was a little loose.

Loved this dress, it fit like a glove and the cutouts are high enough that any extra hip fat won't be shown. The only reason I didn't wear it is because it was snug in the hips and thighs I didn't think I'd be able to sit all night. Beautiful, sexy dress!

I am overall happy with this first RTR dress! It was beautiful! Wish I could keep it! I rented this for our nieces wedding in West Hills, California! The material, pattern, color was perfect for this wonderful outdoor wedding! Only issue I had was how difficult it was to pull it up and down when using the restroom. Definitely tight, so size up.I ended up wearing the L for more comfort especially around my bust! On the top of my favs list!

Like others have mentioned, the fit near the bottom is pretty tight. It was almost hard to walk up stairs because of the cut. Despite that, the print was so beautiful in person and the fabric was very thick and nice. Still highly recommend!

I am a size 4 or 6 depending on the dress. I suggest getting a Medium in this dress not a small if you are in that size range. It was a bit snug and made sitting down and standing up challenging. I also added a blue shell underneath as to cover the cut-outs on the sides. That worked out great but made the dress a little too tight in the small.

This was my first Rent the Runway experience! Overall, I was extremely pleased with my experience! From the few reviews I read I was nervous about it fitting. I ordered a medium with a large as my backup and ended up wearing the large. I think it runs on the smaller side. The dress was easy to walk in, but I had to hike it up a tad to sit down. The biggest issue I had was I couldn't pull the skirt up to use the bathroom. I had to unzip the whole dress to go. I got tons of compliments on the dress. I wish I could keep it! I would rent it again, and can't wait to rent my next dress!

The perfect day to night summer dress! With a blazer or cardigan, you could wear this dress to the office, and then out with friends after work. The small cut outs give the dress a subtle sexiness while still being conservative. The overall fit is fitted and there is no stretch in the fabric. I recommend going up one for back up. This style will also work best for A-C cups, and a standard bra can be worn. At 5'7, this dress it right below my knee (knee/tea length).

Wore to an outdoor wedding and this dress rocked. The pattern and design were captivating. The fit was great. I am between a small and a medium, and the medium was perfect. It's a tiny bit longer than I like but I just grabbed higher heels.

Cute and I got a lot of compliments, but the other reviews about not being able to walk were true. The bottom is SO TIGHT. I wore a medium which fit up top, but not on the bottom.

Wore to my sorority banquet. The fabric doesn't have much give, so although the small fit the medium was just more comfortable to move around in. Overall, nice dress. Many people complimented me throughout the night.

I felt gorgeous in this dress. The overall shape worked well for a work event, but the little side cut-outs added something extra. I wore blingy necklace and earrings to play up the style of the dress, but conservative hairstyle and shoes to make it more work-friendly, since I was around an older, more conservative audience. I'm about 5'10" and size 2, and the small fit looser than I expected. If you're my size and will be mostly standing, I'd try a smaller size. If you're going to be sitting, though, the small will probably fit better. The skirt fits a lot tighter when you sit.

Dress was shipped to me a backup, I loved the dress pattern was so cute and it really hugged my curves nicely, but it was too long for me to wear unfortunately. Definitely a great dress if you are taller than 5'1"! It was a little loose I maybe could have tried a medium. Highly recommend it looked really nice and was very comfortable other than the length

I don't typically wear dresses below the knee, because I have wider hips, and dresses like that tend to make me look heavier. But with RTR, I'm always a little more daring to try new looks. This dress was unique and fit into the theme of being in Cannes, on the water and in warm weather. It had unique cut outs under the arms and a tight material to suck it all in. I had a little trouble walking in it, because it was so tight and below the knee, but a cool dress nonetheless.

I really enjoyed this dress, and received several compliments! The pattern and cut outs make it fun and it was good for a wedding. I am 5'3", so this dress was a little long on me (came about 1/3 of the way down my shins). I fit into both the S and the M, but ended up wearing the M because it gave some room for food & drink and I knew it would be easier to dance in. The fabric has absolutely no stretch; between that and the length the dress did shorten my stride. All said I would definitely recommend this dress!

Great dress for a summer wedding! The silhouette is flattering and sexy without being too revealing. The cutouts did change the fit of the dress, and I would have preferred the dress more without them. A little tricky to go to the bathroom and dance as the bottom of the dress is very narrow. Overall, high quality dress, but still light and summery.

This dress definitely makes a statement with it's funky print - the side cutouts also make a fairly conservative cut a bit more fun, but are small enough not to be risqué. At 5'3" it was a bit long, but not too long to look good. In the end, I was hoping to wear this to a rehearsal dinner but think it would be more appropriate for a work function. I'm not very busty and ended up feeling like the dress made me look a little too un-curvy, as any shape is somewhat obscured by the busy pattern. The fabric is nice and a bit thick so it doesn't seem like it would wrinkle if you were sitting all day - again, probably better suited for a work function. I liked it, and would recommend if you're a bit curvier.

The fit on this was a tiny bit strange on me. I've got a small waist and some booty in the back and the top part felt a little baggy, while the pencil skirt area fit snugly. I still got lots of compliments, but would have to tailor it if I owned it. Note - small cut outs in the sides (at your waist) which are subtly and add interest - but an item to note if you haven't noticed.

I really liked the dress. I'm fairly pear shaped so the large fit my hips better but was too large on top so I ended up going with the medium. I loved the look of the dress but there were a couple of cons, the fabric is much thicker than I would have anticipated and doesn't breathe so it may not be the best bet for an outdoor event, I got hot quickly. I also had issues sitting for a while since I opted for the smaller size since it's so narrow at the bottom. That's kind of on me but the main complaint I had about the bottom being so small and the fabric not having any give, was that I basically had to completely disrobe any time I needed to use the restroom. It was pretty and worked well for the shoot but I don't know that I'd rent again.

I have an hourglass figure, but am slightly larger in the hips. The small was snug in the hips and made going up stairs and into the car a little difficult. Had I gotten the medium, I'm certain it would've been too large in the top. The dress was gorgeous on, but had no give at all. Other than these slight issues, it was a hit! It was elegant with a discreet bit of sexy.

I ordered a S and M as backup and I'm glad I did. I opted to wear the M as this dress has NO stretch at all. I could zip the S but it was tight. The M was a little bit long (T-length), so you may have to opt for higher heels. The dress is well constructed and fully lined. It is also very narrow in the waist. The fabric wasn't very breathable - very heavy, so be warned if you are going to wear this for an outdoor affair, it was warm (despite the cut outs on the sides). Overall though it was a beautiful dress and I wish I could purchase it and get it shortened to wear again!

Gorgeous pattern, slenderizing cut, sexy cut outs and high quality fabric. This dress was amazing for work with a jacket and out for drinks sexy with the cut outs. Fit perfectly, runs small, but no stretch in the material so I had to unzip it entirely every time I took a trip to the ladies room - it was worth it, though!

I said true to size only because half is too big and half is too tight. The top/stomach portion was loose, and the butt/thigh area made it hard to walk. I also had to take the whole dress off to use the bathroom. The cutouts are a sexy touch to an otherwise conservative dress. Fine to rent, would never own a dress with the fit so off.

Rented this for a wedding. From the waist down the dress is very tight which helps maintain a great figure, however, I could barely separate my legs, making it really tough to use the bathroom. I had to take the dress completely off every time I needed to pee. It's a great dress and fit well but I was not expecting it to be that tight on the bottom.

After reading the other reviews I went up a size (I usually rent a small and a medium and fit into a 4/6); I rented the medium and large and both were too big. The dress itself was pretty but like reviews state there isn't much give and the hem fell right at my knee which made walking a bit awkward. I wound up not wearing this one but wanted to take a pic so y'all could see the looseness of this dress.

This dress is very nice, with quality fabric, a nice pattern and cute cutouts. However, the cut is a little rediculous. The skirt is so tailored that your step range of motion when you walk or climb stairs is pretty limited and i could barely pull it up to pee. It was also tight around the chest, as well as the arm and neck holes. Still, i managed to wear it twice in a week since i had a business trip. :)

Also, it came to a little past my knees which would be fine except the fabric has NO give. I couldn't ascend or descent stairs at all or take big steps. So overall, nice to look at, not practical to wear.

This dress is beautiful in person and it's the perfect dress if you all you plan to do is stand and look pretty. First, there is absolutely NO stretch, which means unless this is made exactly for your body you will not get that nice form fitting look. The bottom portion of the dress is very small so you will be walking funny since you can't take a normal stride and you end up walking daintily or in the case of going up and down stairs, sideways like a princess (which is what I hoped I looked like and not a crazy person). This takes me on to the next "issue" with no stretch and small opening is that when you do have to use the restroom you will have to unzip the dress entirely. Finally, with no stretch, sitting becomes a tiny problem since you will have to hike up your dress a bit so you don't choke yourself or get stuck in a really uncomfortable position to where you feel like you may rip the dress in a super embarrassing place. If you can handle all of this, which for me it was a nice birthday dinner date and I was sitting for long periods of time and not getting up and down, it was an okay dress. Would I rent this again, most likely not but I wasn't completely disappointed since it was still a beautiful looking dress.
