Wear spanx and you will be fine. They dress was so comfy and sexy!!! I can't say enough about it!

I wore this dress to my senior prom and I wish I was able to keep it. I normally wear a 6 and I'm tall (5'10) and the 6L fit like a glove, even in 4in heels. The side boob was a little much for a dance so I ended up tying the halter in a bow at the top. The dress was super lightweight and comfortable and I was able to dance all night. I would recommend this dress 100 times over! Another great rent the runway experience :)

This dress was a show stopper! I wore it to my boyfriends prom and I stood out from everyone there. It made me feel beautiful. It's perfect for the James Bond look to. It was pretty comfortable and made me feel so confident. I will say that fashion tape is your best friend when wearing this dress. To make it not gape on the back part I pulled the sides out (eliminating the side boob) and pulled the back down to then tape it all the way down the back on each side. Also I am 5'9 and I wore 4 inch heels and the long version perfectly touched the ground. This is my second time to use Rent the Runway and once again I am thrilled with the amazing service. I highly suggest getting this dress you will not regret it for a moment.

I felt like a Bond girl at the black tie wedding I wore this dress too. It's sexy as heck, but it almost a covert way--a peek of the leg, a hint of cleavage, a bit of side-boob, and the low cut back. The dress will come with adjustable snap buttons on the halter you you can adjust it however you need. The stomach and hip portion hold you in nicely with thick fabric, so I didn't need Spanx with the dress at all. I got compliments all night, and the dress photographed beautifully. I'd recommend wearing some double stick tape along your side boob area to keep feeling comfortable and confident all night. I was so sad when I had to send it back because I loved it so much. I recommend wearing your hair up with it so the dress does all the talking.

I would strongly recommend using fashion tape to secure the top in place. I wore 3inch heels and the dress fit my height perfect, there will be a small train behind so if you are attending a really crowded event it can get in the way. I am an athletic build and the material of the dress allowed for a more curvy body-type with it's "stretchy" feel. Would definitely wear this again!

Simply elegant. I was worried because I don't have a completely flat stomach, but with some shape wear underneath I felt more confident. The dress is comfortable and the slit is amazing. It really made my night to be wearing such an incredible dress.

I wore this for a wedding - it was perfect. Got so many compliments throughout the night. It was beautiful and extremely comfortable. No need for a bra! Length was perfect and would work with many shoes. A lot of people complained about the top being large, but I actually like the draped look and had no issues with it at all.

Loved everything about this dress. The fabric is stretchy and flattering and the dress was incredibly comfortable. I loved how the dress hugged my figure yet offered enough "give" in areas I didn't necessarily want to showcase. The back of the dress is extremely low so if you are going to purchase body shapers you'll want to avoid high waisted ones. I simply purchased control top pantyhose. You'll also need a backless, strapless bra. I used an adhesive one that worked perfectly under the folds of the front of the dress. Fabulous evening...and lots of complements! Loved the RTR service as well!

I loved this dress. The 2 and 4 fit similar in the waist. The 2 was stretched out in the chest area, though, so the 4 actually fit tighter. This dress was easy to move around and dance in. I didn't have to wear a bra with it.

This dress is beautiful. I was very nervous, as I needed a 4, but I could only obtain a 2R or a 6R on the date needed. I tried both on and went with the 2 because it is significantly shorter (4") than the 6. While some women noted that they used tape, I had to use the shorter setting on the neck snaps without tape; that made it fit perfectly!!!

I usually wear a 0R but risked the 2R since RTR didn't have my usual size in stock. The 2R fit fine, just slightly large, and although the 0R would have probably fit perfectly it may have been too short. The 2R was the perfect length with 3.5-inch heels, and the side slit made it super easy to walk in. Have some fashion tape and concealer pads ready, because it's cut too skimpy at the sides to wear a bra or even the bra cups. I secured the sides with fashion tape to minimize side-boob and it held all night. The only drawbacks I found were the hanger straps were extremely long and kept trying to sneak out the sides (but again, tape helped) and the zipper didn't lay completely flat against my rear (but I've found that happens when you have a round rear!) All in all, wonderful dress. My boyfriend didn't want me to return it :)

Great dress and fit perfect!! I needed the tape so my boob would not fall out of the side...very important to have tape! Other than that, I loved this dress and would wear again.

I wore this gown to a military ball and I'm in love with it. It is classy and sexy and I've never felt more like Angelina Jolie with the perfect slit and sultry open back. I did not wear a bra or anything with the low open back, but felt completely secure. Rent this! You won't be disappointed. I paired it with simple black pumps and black and gold earrings. Understated is definitely better in this. Let the beautiful style and cut take center stage.

I ordered the dress to come in a 4L and the 0L. It was a good thing that the 4L fit, because they sent me a totally different dress in the 0L. That was a little disappointing, but it all worked out. I felt beautiful in the dress, usually all the girls at prom are wearing as much sparkle as they can, but with this dress, I felt more classy and elegant. It truly made for a wonderful night!

I rented this dress along with another one. Completely different styles. I wanted something to make me feel sexy without showing too much. I knew I wanted a backless dress for my event and something that was not too tight but tight. This dress was perfect. I was not able to order my size but the 10L fitted okay. It was a little too big in the bust area and long, but that was expected considering I am not 10L. I fixed this with some fashion tape and was good to go. I loved the dress, didn't have to wear a bra, and got compliments all night long. You can definitely modify the dress to show what you want to show. It is a classy and simple yet elegant and beautiful. I didn't want to call attention to myself but still feel confident in that the people that saw me thought I looked stunning. Great experience and will definitely rent again!!!

I'm 5'7" so I chose to wear the 6 L. It fit just fine except I had to tie the neck straps instead of snapping them with the buttons so it wasn't too low on the sides. It wasn't a big deal because my hair covered it... However, I felt sexy and confident and received compliments all night! I have a curvy figure and I found it to be very flattering. It was super comfortable and I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

It fit beautifully! I have a larger backside and it framed me perfectly. The slit was in just the right place,it has just the right amount of sass for a formal event!

I used the cups that stick to your breasts and then snap together, that kept my boobs held together so i didn't have a wardrobe malfunction. originally i bought the bra that sticks to your sides for a backless dress, but this dress shows the sides under your armpits, so that was not an option.

As a taller lady, the 4R was perfect for length purposes. Was just short enough to show off my heels! The dress was so comfortable and warm--didn't even need to wear a sticky bra.

The fit is incredible, especially for petite ladies since you can bunch up the middle. Slit is higher than you expect, but looks great. Overall, best dress I have ever worn.

The dress was amazing! The only issue I had was that it was a little on the shorter side so I had to wear lower heals than normal. I wore it to an Inaugural Ball and received so many compliments. I'm a swimmer so it fit perfect with my broad shoulders and I loved the open back.

I felt great in this dress - it's sexy and elegant without being too revealing. You will have to be on watch for the night when you sit down...you basically have to wrap the bottom of dress around your legs unless you want to look very exposed. It may have been a tough too sexy for a wedding but it was fun and got lots of compliments on it. I'm usually an 8 but wore a 10 so that the slit didn't go up as high. Both sizes fit though.

The top is a bit loose-fitting so the 0 size was better than the 2.....the zero fit perfectly but the 2 would billow forward if I leaned over. The fabric is great, no bra needed, the low back and leg were fun and I definitely felt elegant and confident in this dress. Length was perfect to the floor in my heels but would definitely go to the regular if any shorter than 5'6"

I loved this dress! All night, people told me I looked like a Hollywood starlet wearing this dress -- very classy, old school charm. It looks a bit more risque than I felt wearing it, but that's probably because I knew everything was well-secured with double stick tape. Expect attention if you wear this dress!

The back of the dress is very low so I did not have a bra on. I did put covers on as to now "show through" the front. Fashion tape is also a must so you don't fall out. The front is beautiful and drapes perfectly. It's stunning on - and looks amazing for a formal event. My husband LOVED this dress! I'm 5'2" and ordered the 0R. I had 5" heels on and found it to be perfect. Worth renting again!

Fit was perfect....just right around the hips and waist but the dress is very workable....you can shift it up or down at the waist depending on how you want the fit....I needed fashion tape for the sides of the chest so there was no spilling out....the fabric and lining are a dream....I was nervous about not being able to wear a bra or Spanx (yikes) but not a problem at all! Dress is very forgiving! The buttons around the halter also allow you to get the perfect length for the halter top. The length was perfect for me with 6" heels it just skimmed the floor in the back. I also paired it with the Cara bangle set .....all in all I felt red carpet ready and was completely comfortable all night!

I rented this for a party and the theme was Hollywood Couples and we were James Bond and Bond Girl, definitely felt as sexy as Bond Girls!! I just ordered the 2R and it was very true to size. It fit like a glove,the sides of the chest are a little bigger but nothing that double sided fabric tape couldn't fix!!! I could have worn the 0 for the chest part but it could have been small around my hips, so I am glad I went with the 2R. Definitely would recommend if you want a black dress but a sexy edge!

Rented this for a dinner in Beverly Hills, and I needed something formal but fun. This dress was amazing ... I got compliments on it all night long! I actually thought (for me) it ran a little tight in the hips, which is why I went with the 2R. However, the material of this dress is quite thick, so it's not clingy in any way. Be warned, though, if you're a little taller ... I'm only 5'3" and the slit on this dress was pretty high - hit about two-thirds of the way up my left thigh. Also, I was able to wear a backless Nu-Bra without any problems. I was going for a Rihanna circa 2012 Grammys look as well, so I went with a black and gold theme. Did loose waves in my hair, a dark smoky eye with lashes, and black and gold nails. Rented the Kenneth Jay Lane Deco Fab ring as well, though the necklace was mine. Paired everything with 4" black and gold cap toe pumps by Dolce Vita, and my trusty plain black clutch! This dress was amazing and so unique. I wouldn't recommend it for a super-conservative event, but I'll definitely be renting other dresses by this designer again. The quality of the dress itself was fantastic.

I wore this at a company holiday party. I got so many compliments! The dress fits beautifully and comfortably, and - contrary to what I expected - the side opening isn't revealing at all. I could comfortably dance in this dress without being in the least inappropriate.

This dress fit like a glove. It was snug at the waist, but yet the fabric had enough give to still offer a flattering finish (even after lots of food and cocktails). The slit was fun. You could actually pull up the mid section a bit for a higher slit. Pulling it down if you wanted a more conservative look. My only issue was that I had to go bra-less. The 'tape on' cups still showed on the sides. Luckily the dress has two snaps to adjust halter top. I went with the tighter snap, otherwise there would have been a little 'peep show'. I wore this to the Golden Globes. A perfect dress for a more 'sexy' black tie event.

I ordered this dress in a 2R with a backup size of a 4R, since the fitting instructions said to order a size up. When it got here, I tried on the 2R and it was big. The sides were gaping and I was terrified of a nip slip.Dresses are never usually large in the bust area for me, so if you have a little bust size I'd definitely suggest going a size down. I called RTR and they sent the 0R overnight and got here the morning of the wedding. FANTASTIC customer service. I put on the new dress and it fit like a glove. The length was perfect with 4in heels and the dress was absolutely gorgeous. Simple, but elegant.

I loved the dress! It fit very well and hugged everything in the right places. The only issue I had was with the length; the petite fit a little too short for my liking when worn with heels. If above 5"1 I'd suggest going with regular. Other than that o received tons of compliments! Great rent!
