This dress was absolutely beautiful and I loved the color and the length was perfect. However, I had to use the backup size dress, because the waist was too small to zip up in the size 6. The pitfall of using the size 8 dress was that I had to use lots of fashion tape to keep the top up. If I could have combined the two different sizes into one dress, it would have been absolutely perfect.

I tried this dress on and it was the one for me! Everyone loved it and I received compliments all night! I would definitely recommend this to anyone. The only thing was that it was a little large up top but overall it was a beautiful dress and a great fit!

This dress has a lot of structure. It was almost like it had a built in corset and bra. You wouldn't need any other structured undergarments to wear it. It was even more flattering than I thought it was going to be. Got lots of compliments all night. The pics don't show the slit which goes to mid thigh. Fun, but you should know what you're getting into. ;)

Beautiful Christmas color. A little deep cut for wedding. Could have used some double sided tape! Hard to zip.

The dress fit great other than in the chest area. I used fabric tape to hold it in place, but still fidgeted with it for a lot of the evening. I am 5'1 so I think the dress, even though petite, was still too long for my height. Otherwise, I would rent again!

I wore it to the AF ball and this was my alternate dress. I got it in petite and the length was perfect. I actually liked both dresses but my first choice was navy and it actually looked dingy. I liked both dresses and couldn’t decide and it was down to the last minute before I decided and because I didn’t know I sent the navy one to the cleaners to have it cleaned and steamed. In the end it was money wasted, because I went with the alternate. I love the option of renting dresses however, I fell they should could prepared, so you don’t have to take the extra step in going to the cleaners just to end up not wearing what was sent to the cleaners. I removed a star for lack of preparation.

I wrote this to a military event and it was very comfortable and flattering. I would recommend this over and over again! I would size up 1.

Beautiful dress and I wish it fit me! I wear a 36C and size 10 usually fits me fine, but this dress was just too tight. There's no give in the fabric (and as other reviews mentioned there's a surprising amount of structure), so I had no hope of zipping it up.

The size seems to run a little small because I could not zip it up all the way on my curvy upper half.

Beautiful dress, but the cut is not for someone like me. I have a classic hour glass, larger bust, small waist, and larger hips. This dress had the top half down, but no room for my hips. It was definitely a dress made for someone who is more inverted pear shape.

Pros: Beautiful, deep red color, flattering neckline. I am 5'4" and the length of the 10P was perfect with 2" heels. Cons: As other reviewers have mentioned, the dress is super tight around the ribcage and was difficult to zip up. I think it would also work better for someone with a long torso or a bigger bust, because from the midriff to the straps was a bit too long for me (and I didn't have enough on top to really fill it out). The neckline is also cut quite deep, so thank goodness for wardrobe tape.

I’m usually a 6/8 and 8 was way too small on me. If you’re curvy def order at least 1 size up!

The color is beautiful. I had trouble zipping the dress. As I am between sizes, I’m not sure if it actually runs small or is true to size. It was a pinch too small for me, maybe a an inch? The length seemed fine for my stature.

A bit tight but very flattering overall. I wish I could've worn it. The zipper was extremely difficult and the clip up top was literally hanging on by a thread. As it was hard getting into, I felt it was not the most conducive for my event and I was a bit on edge wearing it as the clip up top could have broken off. Also be warned if you're a more busty gal, this dress may not be the dress for you.

Loved this dress but decided not to wear it for the event I needed it for.

Unfortunately they did not have my size (0/2), but I managed to tape myself into the 4 and I was able to get away with it for the night. Not a great color for me (I'm a blonde, soft summer), but looked fine in photos.

This dress is very classy and a flattering fit. It was a little tight on my chest -- I am a 34B so I ended up going with another dress for the wedding I was attending. The fabric was really nice and color was beautiful.

The fit in the top was definitely big on me. The straps were a little loose and if I didn't have perfect posture, I ran the slight risk of flashing others around me. If I had chosen a size down (4P instead of 6P) instead, I may not have had this issue. Other than that, the rest of the dress looked gorgeous, and I really liked the look.

Gorgeous dress - perfect for a formal gala for work. One reason for not giving it 5 stars - I am ample chested, but short overall and short waisted. Although the 12 petite length was perfect with a 3 inch heel, there was a lot of extra fabric in the front, even with my ample cups! I ended up doing a pin job in the back - pinching in the horizontal seam at both the shoulder blades. That made for a better fit in the front. The 10P was a bit tight in the ribs, but there was still extra fabric in the front, so opted to go with the pinned 12P. The dress has a beautiful structure in the bodice, and the skirt drapes beautifully.

The good: Gorgeous color, beautifully shaped bodice flatters an hourglass figure. The bad: Runs small and short. I took one of the last sizes and needed a tall. The low back is pretty, but is too low for a normal bra--too bad since the straps are wide enough to hide bra straps. I went without a bra but had to use safety pins to avoid malfunctions. I also had to pin the slit which was ridiculously high, practically to my crotch. Overall, I thought I looked pretty, but I was uncomfortable.

On the hanger, this dress was amazing! But once it was on my body, I was pretty disappointed. Due to the ruching, the zipper was extremely difficult to go over so many layers of fabric. The fact that that's the most fitted area of the dress makes it harder. The thigh slit is super sexy, but I thought a little high for a formal affair. Plus, the edges were frayed and you could very obviously see the seams coming apart at the top. I used some fashion tape to keep the seams down and close the slit a few inches. Would not rent again.

It's a beautiful color and drapes beautifully. Its invisible zipper was hard to pull up so I couldn't tell how it fit once fully zipped. The gown was not cleaned before it was shipped. It had an odor.

Pretty dress but didn't fit me well up top. Ended up not wearing because top was large on my shoulders and too deep cut in front for my liking.

I ordered petite for my short waist but the dress was way too short by a couple inches in order to wear heels. I'm 5'5". I had to buy another dress last minute at a local store.

I couldn't get the zipper anywhere close to fastened around my rib cage. I've worn 10s before without issue but for whatever reason this 10 didn't fit my upper half.

I chose not to wear this dress because the neckline plunges really low

I ordered, but ended up not wearing this dress. It is a beautiful jewel toned garnet color, and the material is lovely. It's lined and drapes beautifully. I'm between an 8 and a 10, depending upon the cut of the clothing, but even at a size 10 I could not get this to zip. The bodice is very small. I am a 38 D and couldn't get the zipper up past my waist. If you're busty or have a broad back, I suggest ordering at least a size up.

I really wanted to love this dress but the design is just poor. The torso is incredibly tight, but the straps are very loose. The low cut of the back deters a normal bra being worn, and the loose straps makes it very risky to move around. Leaning forward I risked exposing myself so I had to pin the dress to just be remotely comfortable. The basic design was nice but it was not implemented correctly. I'd imagine the fit would be even more off for someone flat chested.

I ordered this dress in two sizes anticipating that the band would be tight around my ribcage. It was but the dress in the larger size was so much bigger in the bust and straps that it was unwearable. I was surprised at the difference in the length of the straps. Would be suited for a taller girl.

I ordered a size 8R but I was no where close to zipping it up. I don’t have a large chest so I can’t even imagine trying to put this on as a bustier woman. Unfortunately I did could not get a backup size so I don’t know if a 10 would’ve fit either, but I probably would go for a 12. I was also surprised by the very high slit which I don’t think I would’ve been comfortable with at a wedding.

The dress runs small in the trunk and the built in bra is wonky.
