AMAZING!
I wore this dress to a friends winter, black tie wedding and my husband is still asking when I'm going to rent it again. It was form fitting in all the right areas, I did leave the inside corset undone and wore a strapless bra with it. I received so many compliments on it, I was instantly in love when I put it on. The material is more plastic feeling than I expected, but it was comfortable and had a little stretch to it. I wore black heels with it, probably a 4 inch heel, which seemed to work best so that I wasn't tripping on the length. I wore the I will definitely be renting this again!!

I loved this dress! I felt like a movie star all night and received many compliments!
The fabric was beautiful but there was no stretch and it fit pretty tight even though I went one size up. I had a hard time getting into the car and sitting down for dinner, but it was totally worth it because I felt so beautiful all night! I am very busty and I loved the way it held me up and very tightly across the chest. I didn't have to pull up on my dress all night and that is pretty great since it was a strapless.

Modern-retro, classy.
Black tie family wedding. I just had a baby 7 months ago. The gathering in front made it so I was not self conscious all night. Even though I wasn't able to fix my hair, I felt beautiful and "put together". I am 5'1, my heels were 4 inches. The dress was well maintained and looked brand new. I will definitely rent again in the future!

I felt like a total rock star.
This dress was a back up dress that RTR overnighted to me because my first choice wasn't available - and thank goodness they did! I was 1000% in love with this dress. I certainly didn't want to send it back. The print is gorgeous and the shape definitely makes a statement. I'd be interested to try the long, because this was almost too short with heels on. It's an amazing dress though, so if you're on the fence, try it! I will say, spanx are recommended and the biggest downfall is that I couldn't get the bottom up over my hips, so bathroom trips required undressing. Make sure you're partying with a friend. Totally worth it, though.

I was initially worried this dress would be too tight or not long enough, but instead it was absolutely perfect in every way - I loved it so much that I might rent it again for another event :)

This was an amazing dress!
Personally, I do not think it is worth 2k retail. But as a rental, great bang for your buck. The tulle on the underskirt would sometimes get stuck on my stiletto and trying to sit down was a challenge. But overall, I would definitely rent this one again! The color is alittle lighter and more saturated than the default photo. I will say, that the dress is long. Unless you are 5"8' rent the regular length, even if you're wearing 5-6 inch heels.

Shapely dress. Great length for my height. Comfortable but you want to stand straight as possible to show the angles and curves of the dress nicely. Very formal.

I felt unique compared to the other prom dresses
Im short and curvy so I thought it may be tight or loose in some areas. Nope! It fit like a glove. It was obviously long without heels but after putting on some 3 or 4 inch heels it was fine, however I had to walk and hold the skirt because the tulle would sometimes get caught on the heel, this probably wouldn't be an issue for someone over 5'1. I loved this dress! The color was much richer then it appears in the photos. It has the obvious royal blue color but there is also darker blues that almost looked violet to me. Even bustier women can wear this because the corset holds the girls firm. Highly recommend!

I felt so elegant in this dress, I almost didn't recognize myself!
The dress fit perfectly, though there was a little extra room in the chest area, it didn't matter because the dress holds its shape so well. The dress allows you to move your knees only about a foot apart - maybe a little more - but this didn't pose any serious issues for me. Above all, the cut of the dress was incredibly flattering and the color was beautiful. I couldn't be happier!

Dang!
I wore this dress to a black tie wedding, and it was a knockout. Knowing that Vera Wang gowns usually run small and are designed for stick-straight girls, I was nervous my butt would be too big. But to my surprise, my usual dress size (size 2L) fit just perfectly! In fact, the waist on my 26" waistline was even a touch too big. As for length, I am 5'7", and in 4" heels, it was perfect. One word of caution: the description describes the fabric as "stretch faille." I warn you it DOES NOT STRETCH whatsoever. So be extra careful when ordering your size.

LOVE
I tried this dress on in the showroom and I knew it was the one. Actually, it was a dress I never even intended to try on but the assistant at the showroom was excellent and gave my the confidence to test it out. The second I put it on I was sold. I really think the showroom takes RTR to the next level. If you are in the NYC area I would highly suggest making an appointment before your next rental. I was also able to work with the assistant and pick out matching jewelry for the event. Thanks so much Showroom staff!! You did a fantastic job. It was my favorite RTR rental ever (and I've had alot) with endless compliments. The pattern of the dress is beautiful. I think it works best for someone with a narrow frame and small chest. Oddly, there are two zippers, one for the corset and one for the dress. However, the corset inside is alot smaller than the rest of the dress, so the back of the dress was fully zipped, but the corset underneath was left open at the top. I would suggest sizing up on the backup especially if you have a larger chest. This dress is utterly beautiful, cant say enough about it

Fantastic stylist. Fantastic service. Fantastic gown.
This is a beautiful gown that is very form fitting. I am broader on top than bottom, so it was very snug on top and fit perfectly on the bottom. There is a built-in corset in the bust, so you don't need to wear a bra. The fabric was a beautiful silk print that was very unique. I would highly recommend this gown to someone who wants to highlight their curves.

Stunning and elegant
I got this for a wedding in New Orleans and thought this dress would be the perfect choice due to the print and color and I love mermaid dresses! Sadly though - this dress runs large in the waist and hips. I read the reviews beforehand and figured Vera runs small so best to go up a size.. I should have stayed with the size 0R. I'm 5'3 105lbs 34b 25 waist and 33 hips - the length was perfect with a 4 inch heel. I wish this dress would have been more fitted in the waist and hip area but it was too baggy in a 2r - the bust however is VERY FITTED and im a 34b if that tells you anything. i was able to zip up both the inner zipper and the outer on my own with no problems but the bust was definitely SNUG...also note that the dress is supposed to be fitted down to your knees so the walking space is limited, overall though I thought it was a beautiful dress but needed it in a 0. I would recommended if you are similar to my build that you go with a 0 and a size up just in case. I went with another dress option I had picked out and that one fit like a glove! I would rent this again but in 0R for another event. lesson learned.

Star of the evening! However, not so comfortable
I got this to wear to a charity fundraiser. The dress absolutely stood out, I got tons of compliments and I think I looked fantastic! The service was also great, I got it on time and was able to try both sizes. The dress does not stretch...at all. The material isn't what you'd expect for a such a pricey designer gown, but it looked great. That being said, the mermaid shape + the non-stretchy material made for an uncomfortable evening. I could honestly really only move my legs at the knee, which made dancing difficult and sitting even harder. I don't really recommend this for a curvaceous girl like myself. I had to go with the 4R to achieve the best look. I'm smaller on top (32C) and curvier at the bottom , but the 6R size was too baggy in the waist (though definitely more comfortable). I found that the length was good when I was wearing 3 inch heels. It's slightly longer in the back (creating a very small train effect), but if it was any longer I would have been tripping over the bottom. I looked fabulous and felt amazing - but I can't recommend renting this dress if you are curvy, or interested in being comfortable.

Best Look Ever, But the Fit...
First, I loved how I looked in this dress. Wow. Someone at the gala was so excited to see this dress--she said that Katy Perry had worn this EXACT dress and it had gotten top reviews from Joan Rivers, et al, on "Fashion Police". I looked it up when I got home and darned if she wasn't right! I felt like I looked like a star in this gown. The fabric is much more beautiful in person, with gradations of deep peacock and teal with a sophisticated black print and black tulle to fluff out the bottom of the skirt. That being said, the fit was problematic. I'm kind of short waisted, but the fit problem wasn't in the waist or hips, it was the bodice. I could not even get the built in bra closed, even with my husband's help. There's a relatively slender, non-stretchy bra strap with two hooks and then, over that, a much wider panel that zips up. I finally had to just zip up the bodice without fastening the bra parts at all. Thank god for the print which hid any suspicious bumps. Getting the skirt up for bathroom visits was difficult. Don't see why this part couldn't have a short area of elastic to ease things along, or up, as the case may be. I wouldn't rent it again because I do like to be a little more comfortable, but it looked amazing.

This dress was AMAZING!!
I loved this dress! I wore it for my military ball and was really surprised that the size 4 fit me because my hips are rather large. The color is really amazing and the pattern is really awesome intricate. I got so many compliments on it all night. It is a little hard to walk in because the the fabric cuts off right before your knees. Overall though, I recommend this dress, it is truly stunning!

Show off those lady curves!
This is a gorgeous style that definitely amps up your curves! Just beware that the fabric has no stretch. The hips are very fitted and I would not recommend this style for pear body types, or anyone that carries their weight in the hips or thighs. I am wearing flats in this picture, as it runs a bit short. This style is best for heights 5’8” and under.

Beautiful dress!!! Strange FIT!!!!
This was my backup dress and it was beautiful. I didn't wear it because it was very big in the hip and waist area and snug around the bust. I think a 6L would have fit better but it only came in a 6R and I'm 5'9" and it would have been to short.

I wore this Vera Wang dress to my senior prom and it was very simplistic and classy. It was great.
The fit was true to size and had great support in the bust area and sucked in all of my imperfections in my waist. It was easy to move around in and held up all night while I danced.

If you're trying to SLAY on a budget, buy this dress !
It is light weight so perfect for a summer or spring event. I'm usually a dress size 4 but the size 2 was a better (tighter) fit. In this picture I was 126 lbs and 5'4" with a 4" heels. The dress hugged me in all the right places while still allowing me to walk around without feeling restrained. I would recommend this dress 100%.

This dress was for sale, and couldn't pass it up!
I didn't have a specific event in mind, but this gorgeous Vera Wang dress was for sale AND I could afford it. Vera has always been on my designer wish list. I am VERY glad I looked at the size chart. I am 38, 28, 40 and usually wear a 4/6 on top and a 6/8 on the bottom - I bought this in a 10 and it fit perfectly and really kills it with my hourglass figure. I am going to wear it the ballet to see Swan Lake - and will now always have a gorgeous well made black tie dress!

Paired with a vintage fabulous necklace, this dress was a real hit and I felt great for my Black Tie
Wore to a fancy NYC Black Tie. The dress was a 10R and I usually wear a 6 or 8 so go to a 10 if you typically wear an 8 as I believe Vera Wang cuts small. It is very long and touched the floor even in 4 inch heels for me but I am only 5' tall. This is comfortable and a lovely dress. Very elegant. I liked the feel of the fabric and the color and mentioning only because others did not. Felt great! A Fun dress for a big event.

Super experience!
What a great dress! It fit like a glove and I felt beautiful all evening. I had people stop me to tell me how fabulous the dress fit and looked. The internal corset was very tight and I usually wear a 30 band size for bras. I do not know if this would work on someone who was flat chested as there was still room in the chest area and I wear a 30E. The hips and waist were plenty roomy and almost a bit big. I think I could have worn a 2 and just not zipped the internal corset. The 4, without the corset zipped, would not have stayed up all night. After reading the other reviews, I ordered the 4 and 6. I would say other than the corset, the dress runs very true to size. I am usually a 2-4 in dresses. The earrings I ordered were also gorgeous! Super experience all around!!

This was my backup dress. I am a 34 DD and it was just too snug on the top, while the bottom fit beautifully. Also my dress was slightly damaged in the back by the zipper so I had to return.

I didn't wear it.
It was very pretty and would have been perfect for my Havana Nights-themed party (colors are fairly bright) but there was a flaw in the fabric on the butt and I wouldn't have been able to go to the restroom all night. It doesn't pull over the knees so you'd need to take the whole dress off to use the restroom.

So so
I had high hopes for this dress. The problem with it, is the bottom isn't as balanced as the image shows (which would make it very flattering). Trick of a model, lean into one hip to accentuate your curves and the dress will follow. However when you are standing like a normal person or walking/living the dress doesn't deliver. The color is pretty, just overall not flattering. It is however really light weight which is both a pro and a con. It is more comfortable for that reason, but lacks the quality and heaviness you find in a lot of couture dresses. With perhaps more tool at the bottom to jut the dress out below the knee (more how the image is showing), I would rent this dress again. Overall nice concept, but it was underwhelming for me.

The dress did not fit. I wore my back up dress. When the reviews say the dress has no stretch, the dress REALLY has no stretch. The material is like a plasticy polyester material. It's a beautiful dress; I just expected a heavier material from the picture. It really is a very pretty dress but the material does not feel like $2000.
