This dress was so comfortable throughout my sister's wedding - from the ceremony to dancing during the reception. Wore with a regular bra, underwear, pantyhose and spanx. Spanx for added piece of mind (didn't have to worry about eating too much at dinner) but not absolutely necessary as the dress is form fitting but not skin tight. The texture, unique color, and classic silhouette make this dress stand above the rest.

I had a Trade Show to attend and wanted to look great for customers & colleagues. The bright spring color and excellent fit got so many compliments! I was worried as im curvy and the dress looked form fitting but I loved it. Even the texture was unique but didn't add weight just made me love the dress more!

I carry a little bit of flab around the waist, and this dress was fairly forgiving (although you can still tell in that photo). Overall the dress was exactly as I expected, and I am very pleased with my dress choice.

This dress by Vera Wang is AMAZING! It is very body hugging, so for most comfort I recommend wearing a size up. I typically wear a size 4 and I ended up wearing a 6 in this dress. It is form fitting but the material is stretchy so you are able to move around easily. The only con I found was that it does slightly ride up if you are dancing or moving around quickly, but overall I was so pleased with this dress. I wore this to a wedding and received countless compliments, everyone from friends, guests I didn't even know, to the photographer and wait staff, so many people commented on how beautiful the dress is. You cannot go wrong with a quality Vera Wang dress!

The fit is tight, but hits you at the right curves. I would recommend sizing up for your extra size. Beautiful dress!

i wore this to a daytime event and accessorized with a skinny belt around my waist. first off this dress is great. the color is great. the length is great. the fabric is great. it's overall, great! the sleeves fit a bit tight, definitely not as they appear on the model but the fabric has so much stretch it wasn't a real issue. the fabric itself is so interesting and beautiful and the stretch factor allowed for several trips back to the buffet. i don't know how this would fit on a girl who is more petite but on myself it hit just above the knee and the shoulders were a bit narrow, i need to adjust the sleeve/shoulder area several times during the day. it was nice to be able to wear regular undergarments but if you're feeling lumpy this dress is not super forgiving; opt for spanx if you'd feel more comfortable. i'd definitely rent this dress again, it looks great with black or nude accessories and it definitely gained a lot of compliments.

When the dress arrived I was a little concerned because the fabric ( a rayon/polyester blend ) fit a little cheap. When I put the dress on though it looked great and I got many compliments on it. All in all I'm very happy with the rental!

Bride wanted a brides maid dress that was light blue in a winter wedding and this little dress saved my life. It was comfortable, stretchy, modern yet sophisticated. I had a lot of compliments. Wore it with nude heels and simple make up because the dress was eye popping itself. However, it made my butt look big because it really does fit your body. It showed me curves I didn't even know I had. Also, it's darker than the photo, not by much though. Photo shows sky blue but the dress is baby blue. It is extremely worth it.

This dress is really unique! The color of the dress is actually a little darker than the picture on the model. This dress is extremely comfortable because there is a ton of stretch. I also loved the details on the fabric, it gave the dress a retro feel. I would recommend sizing up in backup;however the dress did run very true to size. It hit right below my knee.

Tons of compliments on this dress! It is sexy without being provocative.. I agree that shapewear is a plus with this dress. Paired it with a skinny belt and I think that was the right choice for dressing it down for a less formal event. The hems were coming looses at the bottoms and the sleeves but that was fine for my event. Concerned this might be a norm for RTR (hence the 4 stars).

Worn as a bridesmaid for my sister's colorado-in-march wedding. Not a very "stretchy" dress, but thank goodness I ordered the 2 because the 4 was WAY too big in the hips (I have small hips). Fit me well without being tight anywhere but I could have worn a 0 if I had wanted to look a little sexier (day-time family wedding i.e. NO). Length in dress and sleeves was perfect- just above the knee and elbow. Very comfortable! Not lined, so choose under garments carefully and bring a jacket! My only complaint was it stuck out a bit where the zipper ended on my butt (see photo 2)- had it been tighter this would not have been an issue probably. Darker than the photo online for sure. I received SO MANY compliments on this dress/necklace combo. highly recommend!

There were a few stains I noticed throughout the day but no one else really seemed to notice. The patterned fabric is what made this. So unique. True to size. Fits into curves snuggly. Overall a great dress for any formal or business casual event!!

This dress is beautiful! Its super tight and super stretchy so it definitely shows off all of your curves. Of course this could be a good or a bad thing depending on your body type. If you have a less curvy body type I would say this dress could be great for work or formal business attire. If you're more curvy (like me - see pic) then I would say you could still get away with wearing it to a business-type affair but maybe with a blazer over it. Or if you wanna be super sexy then forget the blazer. Also if you have the "I really need to get to the gym" body-type I would stay away from this dress. It runs small and shows EVERYTHING so it will show every roll and imperfection. The length of this dress makes it appropriate to wear to a more for formal occasion as well but because its so tight it really blurs the line between too conservative and too sexy.

I have been in love with this dress and was so excited to rent it for a baby shower. When I got the dresses (10 and 12) I tried on the 10 and it was unwearably form fitting. It literally hugged e-v-e-r-l-y s-i-n-g-l-e b-u-l-g-e. I wore the 12 but it still hugged a lot more than I wanted it to. I would have need a 14 or a 16 for it to look like it does on the model--for this reason I would NOT suggest this dress to hourglass or pear figures. The quilting on the dress suggests a more demure styling than the fit. The dress says "I'm a lady" and the fit says "lady if the night". Overall the dress was too small--except the length which was tea-length, which is odd in a shift style dress. I had such high hopes for this dress and was ultimately disappointed and a little embarrassed wearing it. (This is a cautionary tale about trying dresses on the minute they arrive--if I had I would have returned it and either rented or bought something last minute instead of wearing it.)

I usually wear a size 4 but there was only the size 6 available. Since the other reviews said it ran small I went ahead and got it. It is very stretchy so I think if I wore a 4 it would have had a nice body con look but the size 6 felt fine and laid well, offering a nice conservative look. The fabric is very lightweight and is kind of a darker blue than what is pictured. I would definitely rent again, but in a size 4.

This dress made me feel like a million bucks! I wish I had a picture wearing it at the event, but we were too busy having fun to take pictures. I got loads of compliments on it all day. Other reviews made me nervous that the 12 would be too small, but I actually found the 12 to be too bulky and the 10 fit almost perfectly. The only issue was that the material tends to be a bit wrinkly and I think it got bunched up in shipping. I'm still getting back in shape after my kid and this was a perfect option for hiding a bit of the pudge. You'll be happy you rented this one!

It has a very relax fit, although I did decided to wear spanx under to have a slick look to it. I had no cons to this dress... It was wonderful in every way and I would def. rent again and tell anyone on the fence to rent it too!! The texture was perfect and very fun! The color was amazing too!

Even one of the waitresses asked me where I got it. Pictures don't really do it justice. It was beautiful and beyond comfortable! The textured material is really what makes this dress. I kind of wish I owned it!!!

This was my first RTR experience, and I was disappointed when it didn't go exactly to plan. I originally ordered this dress for my sons baptism in a size 4 with backup size 6 according to reviews. I was notified that the size 4 would be unavailable to me but RTR sent the size 6 and 2 other options of my choice instead. I probably could have worn the size 4, but I am also someone who doesn't like any clothing to be very fitted. The size 6 dress was actually better than I thought! Fit great everywhere except slightly large in the shoulders. That's where I could have used the size 4. But so many compliments and felt a little sexy while still being super conservative. I am short so dress hit at knee, which was perfect for the occasion. Fabric is much lighter than it looks which was also a plus for my April event. And def has stretch. Not as structured as it looks, but that's a good thing when you have 2 kids under 2! :) Love this dress!

The dress was fabulous and elegant. I am in my 40s so that I don't like a revealing style. I could have worn size 2, but I did not want to look too tight around my abdomen. This one is conservative enough yet very stylish. Fabric was excellent. I can imagine it would travel well, too. I got lots of compliments. The length was right at the knee so that it added a sophisticated look to a petite body. Those of 5'4" and above will have the skirt right above the knees. Not bad, either. Because I am short, from the waist to the shoulder was somewhat loose. Sleeves were snug up to the elbows. Excellent. The neckline was elegant with the back steeped down more. Would be great for winter parties. I wore it for an indoor event in late May.

This dress was beautiful! It was less structured than I thought it would be. The fabric had give to it and was super comfortable to wear for 12 hours and have two large meals in, plus chasing my three little kids around.

I wore this dress to a wedding in January. The fabric is thick enough to make it appropriate. The color and design is a show stopper. I received soooo many compliments during the entire night. My husband couldn't keeps his eyes off of me. You will not be disappointed with this dress for any event. My photo was too blurry to post.

Definitely size up in this dress! I typically wear a 4 or 6, but I am glad I got the 8 in this one. Any smaller and I feel like the pattern and texture would not have shown up as nicely even though the 6 may have worked.

I needed a dress for a very conservative event and I was looking for something modest and sophisticated, but sexy at the same time and this dress was perfect! It's very stretchy, so make sure you aren't planing a huge meal, but it hugs body really well. I wore size 6 just because I didn't want it to be too tight, but if it was for less conservative event, I would have gone with size 4 (I'm normally size 4)

This dress runs pretty small. I had rented both the 10 and 12 since I'm in-between sizes right now and the general consensus from other reviews was that it ran small. I never go to try on the 12 since it did not come back from the previous renter on time. RTR of course made up for this as usual with their great customer service and multiple substitutions. The 10 was tight. The 12 may have worked but might have been more body-conscious for a larger chest than wanted for the conservative event that I was going to?....a shame I wasn't able to find out because the color and material are pretty. If the dress is worn too tight I think that some of the pattern's character is lost and does not come off as nicely. If you want it to look like the model you'd probably want to size up. I wore one of the substitutions that RTR had helped to pick out instead. hank you RTR!

True to size, but if you are have broader shoulders and athletic arms aka not skeleton arms, the dress will be a bit snug on your arms and across your chest. But everywhere else fit perfectly and like the comments below, it is a darker shade which looks really nice.

Beautiful dress that I wore for a bridal fashion show. It does run small and the arms are very tight so I would go a size up if I were to rent again. Beautiful color as well. Not really a steel blue but more of a mint blue.
