I wore this dress on a date night to the ballet. I have been wanting to rent it because it looked beautiful and I have to say that photos do not do it justice. I added one of a close up to people could see the details because it really is just so beautiful. While on my way to the ballet I was stopped a few times by random people who complimented me on the dress. Unfortunately, due to the popularity of this dress I was unable to order my typical size 2 but instead rented a 4 and the dress did not fit me well. I took a risk figuring it is better for a dress to be too large than too small. I had to wear a belt with it to cinch the waist, you cannot tell in photos but it gathered a bit in the back. I'd suggest renting your normal size and also a size down. I wish I had gotten the 0 or 2. The dress was so beautiful I didn't want to return it and I highly recommend it!

the fit was perfect. the 6, which i originally ordered, wasn't available so RtR sent me a 4 instead. i didn't think it would fit but it fit like a glove! i felt so classy and sassy in this dress and i received many many compliments. a lot of people guessed that it was a special vintage find. it's not but i love that it gives that impression!

I ordered this dress for a friend's wedding. I was nervous because this designer doesn't carry a 14 in this dress. Luckily all my workouts ensured that I am a true size 12 and it fit perfectly. The dress doesn't have any stretch but it also isn't lined which makes it easier to wear. I have a large bust and was able to wear a regular bra without any problems. I received tons of compliments and was able to dance without issue. This is my favorite RTR dress to date.

I wore this for a formal wedding with black flats and it was a wonderful choice. I usually wear between a 6 and 8 but the 6 was the better option in this case.

Loved the dress, it is obviously a very high quality and looks super detailed and extravagant. The material is very comfortable and soft. The dress was a tiny bit big for me but it allowed me to move great. It was also a little longer than I expected but it paired great with heels. It's a beautiful dress and I got tons of compliments!

Overall, I loved the dress. We had a 20's themed Holiday Party and it was perfect with the Art Deco vibe. The dress is a bit darker and more like a gold than in the picture, but I actually liked that better. It fit snug at the top and looser in the hips.

The fit was awesome! I have broad shoulders and it fit perfectly. The waist was a little big, but it let me breathe easily! I got so many compliments all night! A home run.

Pros: dress photographed phenomenally, fit perfectly and was very comfortable. I received so many compliments! Cons: rode up just a bit when walking. Otherwise just a beautiful dress perfect for the occasion!

I ordered a size 4, which fit perfectly. I was a bit nervous about the dress not being able to zip past my chest but it did! Im very happy I chose that size. The fabric was a good medium between thin and thick. The dress didn't make me too hot and it felt great on. My only con, if I must give one, is that the dress had small fuzz balls. They weren't concerning or noticeable in any way. I received many compliments throughout the evening. Great dress!

I wore this dress on my Thirtieth birthday to a restaurant frequented by many beautiful people and celebrities and still managed to get a ton of compliments! The dress had great structure, came in at the waist very flatteringly and the fabric was amazing.

Wore to a catholic wedding in California - completely "appropriate" without feeling doudy - sophisticated yet sexy, generated dozens of compliments, perfect balance. Also, I'm tall - length was perfect, great success. Would wear many times over.

Wore it to an awards dinner hosted by my university. Would look fab on almost anyone, but really stands out on darker skin tones like mine. Received many compliments on the color especially. Dress is not lined, but the material looks and feels expensive/high-quality. Runs a bit large (I'm usually an 8/10, but I think the 6 would have fit just fine). Overall: great for those events which are in between cocktail and black-tie.

The fit was flattering yet it was neither tight nor snug so it was exceptionally comfortable to wear!

Received lots of complements, its very unique and stood out compared to lots of black dresses (winter time). Good for someone with hips and a bust. I normally wear a 10 but they were out but an 8 worked out but a little tight on top. Very comfortable. Great color!

Fit was good, I went for the smaller size and I'm grateful I'm tall. If I was shorter I would have had to hem it. The detail was amazing and I received a lot of compliments. I think the color was great, but the dress worked well for a fun, classy affair. Highly recommend!

The subtle intricacy and color of this dress is stunning in person. I wore it to a law firm's party at MoMA and was looking for office attire that would outshine in a sea of black sheaths. A teeny bit of stretch to the fabric kept the wrinkles away but still held shape. Beautifully designed.

I ordered 6 & 8 because I'm pear shape. Material gives a bit and was able to wear 6. Top was a bit loose but nothing too noticeable. My only observation was that I thought that the dress would have been lined particularly since it was a Vera Wang. If you have a curvy shape this dress is beautiful; people will notice you!! I wore it with gold shoes and accessories. Marvelous dress!!

The dress is meant for taller leaner people and being 5'2 the dress was a little too long on me. But otherwise, the dress was great! The detail on it was AMAZING and the color was gorgeous! I got alot of compliments!

Fit beautifully - little bit of room in the bust. Knockout color! The high neckline and longer length made me feel comfortable wearing it but it's still pretty sexy. The fabric is gorgeous and the design works to hide small bulges which I was concerned about in a sheath dress. Absolutely loved it! Got loads of compliments.

This dress is unbelievably gorgeous in person! The fabric is super structured and the detail on the dress is beautiful. This dress is super fitted and has no stretch, I recommend sizing up one size for backup. This dress hit right below my knee.

This was my backup size, size 6 was my first choice. It was a bit too large, so I think the 6 would've been just right. The color is deeper in person, richer looking. The fabric was nice, a little worn, but I think this has been a popular style for RtR. I plan to wear this to church on Easter, and it will be great for that. I am 5'7" and it hits just at my knees.

First, let me say people loved this dress! It was really different from anything I'd rented before and I loved the color and the style. It definitely is a little brighter than it appears in my picture and photographs very differently in certain light. I ordered a 6 and 8 and didn't notice a huge difference in the two sizes but ultimately went with the 8 because it was a little more forgiving on my tummy. I'm 5'2'' so it does hit below the knee on me, but I didn't mind. I do agree with the others that I was surprised as the quality and lack of a lining. It's clear these dresses have been worn their fair share and my bracelet did catch on the fabric a number of times. If you happened to flip the dress inside out it looks like a real mess with strings everywhere, but ultimately that didn't matter all that much. I was just expecting something a little more polished from Vera Wang. All in all, I was really happy and would rent again.

Like most, it did fit a little loose on me but still worked. If you're looking for a sexy dress, this might not be the one for you...it's more of a beautiful/classy fit. If you're shorter, it falls right at your knees. Came with a few pulls in the material (which were quite noticeable) and a small wine stain, but still photographed nicely. I would definitely wear this again!

The fabric was a bit worn, but the fit was still good and the pilling wasn't visible at a distance. All in all, loved this dress and loved that it was different from what everyone else wore.

I received compliments all night on this dress, and although I was bloated, this dress was very forgiving and very flattering. The threading is beautifully done and the color is unforgettable. I would highly recommend this dress to anyone, and I would rent it again!

If you have big boobs, it may not work. It barely worked for me (I'm a 38G, the bust size doesn't go up past 38D). It fit perfectly everywhere else but i had to take my bra off to zip it up. It was worth it . I got so many compliments. The color was gorgeous on my skin. After two tries with RTR, finally got a dress that sorta work. The other dress i ordered didn't work out so I'm glad this backup let me be great!

Fits quite well. It was a little loose in the waist and tight on the butt, but that is just my body type. It was still very flattering and comfortable. Not restrictive. Modest just sexy. It's a really special dress but not so fancy or elaborate that you stand out too much. It's a lightweight but luxurious fabric with a little stretch. I'm very pleased - felt sexy and special in it but didn't stand out too much at a small wedding.

I wore this dress to a charity event. It was stunning and I got so many compliments on it! I probably could have gone a size down but the reviews from previous renters said it ran a little tight in the hips and I was worried they wouldn't fit so I ordered a size up and my back up size was 2 up. However, it was still gorgeous and looked good on my body type. I highly recommend this dress!

In a sea of black dresses, this one definitely stood out. I got a ton compliments all night. The dress is a beautiful gold color (photo is pretty true), and the stitching/pattern is remarkable. I originally had on the 8 for the ceremony, but I decided to ramp it up so I put on Spanx and wore the 6 to the reception. The only reason I can't give this dress 5 stars is that it was larger on top than I would have liked. Also, the 8 arrived in poor condition --- the zipper paint was rubbing off, and some of the stitching was "fuzzy". I would order your normal size and a size down. Overall, a great, easy-to-wear dress with a modest length.

I wore this Vera Wang dress for my engagement photos. There was good with this dress, but also some bad. CONS: It didn't quite fit. It fit perfectly in my bust and hips, but was really baggy in my waist. The dress also came with snags in the material - though it's so intricate in detail, it would be impossible not to snag. PROS: It was beautiful. My photographer loved shooting it, I loved it at first impulse rent, and random people who have seen the dress since then have asked where they can buy it. I rented this for a photoshoot. I got it in the 4, but wish I had also gotten the 2, as it was a little big and I ended up clipping it in the back. thank goodness pictures don't show the back :0 the dress was definitely worn, it had snags and pulled threads, but overall, I accomplished my goal.

The dress is not sparkly, but that's okay the pattern is lovely and makes it classy and sophisticated without being over the top. Rented this for a wedding, wore a different dress for that, but decided to wear this to the after party.

This dress can be worn snug (order a size down) or to perfectly skim the body (order your true size). I went with the skim the curves look and it was just gorgeous. I received compliments all night long. I danced the night away and had a very memorable evening. Thank you ladies for even starting this business, I plan on being a very faithful customer.

I LOVE this dress. I am a tall woman with some curves, and this supported everything in all the right places. I don't usually go for "bold" dresses, but I felt this was still classy, but made me feel special.
